Many thanks, Jens & David. Though I’m a beginner, I have been watching and listening very intensely to you. I really do grasp the anologies you use in order for us to understand. Very engaging and encouraging this. Been watching your videos now almost everyday since I stumbled upon you preview (?) of the Deering Goodtime. Now a fan of the Kruger bros.
Hello from France! Thank you so much for sharing your awesome experience. As a guitar player I recently went to England and bought a Deering banjo to use it in a folk-rock band, and I have to admit that I'll need years of practice! However, despite I'm not in a bluegrass style, it's a real pleasure to play it ...and to listen to an Expert! Bravo Mister Kruger!
I enjoyed the lecture - thanks Jens! By the way - another great (and inexpensive) thumbpick that is very strong and wears very slowly is the Dunlop Ultex. The plastic won't bend until you heat it to over 400 degrees F, and it is impossible to break the plastic at the bend (where most plastic picks sometimes break).
Look no further. Either of these will bring you a lifetime of joy. www.deeringbanjos.com/collections/goodtime-5-string-openback-banjos-blonde/products/goodtime-banjo -Or- www.deeringbanjos.com/collections/goodtime-deco-banjos-1/products/goodtime-deco-5-string-banjo
Such a refreshing take on this beaten subject 👏👏👏 definitely gonna try it out. What an amazing player and musician
With out a doubt, Jens is the finest music teacher I've even encountered... Thank you Jens and thank you Deering
I meant experienced, not encountered.

There are times when fast is preferred. but certainly not all the time...rapid speed, I think, spoils or loses the "musicality" of some tunes.

Super good 💡 Jens. Love your insights. Thanks that you are doing this! 😊🪕 Take care.
Thank you, Jens. Really enjoyed this!
That was a great workshop!
Jens is the Yngwei Malmsteen of banjo! With some Tommy Emmanuel mixed in.
Jens isn't about "how to play the banjo." He's trying to teach us "how to be the banjo!"
Great workshop. 👍🏻🎶🪕
What were the thumb picks mentioned?
He mentioned Blue Chips, but he also mentioned ProPik who will also be releasing something special.
@@jamielatty5740 my two top choice thumb picks
Do you have a banjo you would recommend for a 1 year student?
Look no further. Either of these will bring you a lifetime of joy.
