  • First Day out in the 2024 Model 3 Performance after installing all the mods from the old car. Well...It was even faster than I expected. This 1:34 lap was far from perfect, tires were old, and the car was not charged to where it should have been (my mistake). So, with that, I think we can aim for 32's for next time.

    The 24 M3P is really the best bang for the buck sports car out there!!! This is already 3 sec. faster than your fastest lap in the previous gen M3P, it's crazy to think that there might be another 2 seconds in there! Congrats on the current PB!

    That's a good lap, good job. I much prefer MPP products to UP... That's a sizeable improvement vs stock...going into 32's seems difficult with the car unless you go A7's with 295 square though...Like the Plaid wished Tesla would match Hyundai or Porsche for cooling performance... Need 800V and real cooling for future product like those 2...

      @@nabushdinosaureThanks! I think 32's are possible without slicks. My tires were not new and the size was not optimized. Some changes to setup will get the car to rotate better which will help maximize grip. I also started with a lower charge than I should have due to my own mistake. We'll see. I'll be back there at the beginning of September.

    @Steven Case that’s one of the best overlays I’ve seen, what software you using? I haven’t seen that one. I run Nankang CRS’s on 19 x 9.5, 265/35’s for AX and sometimes track on my 3. I installed all the MPP suspension arms front and back and use Eibach sway bars, it handles so much better.

    • @stevencase243
      @stevencase243  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@gabem8119 Software is Racerender. I took inspiration from the F1 displays they use on TV. I would think A052 would suit you better for autox. CRS takes a bit more to get up to temp. Are you limited to tire and wheel size for that class?

      @gabem8119 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stevencase243Ok, heard of that one but never seen that overlay, looks good. Yeah, I learned about that and early in the season before it got hot I wasn't getting the best grip. It's been hot since and they've done great. I was thinking of getting some tires that'll get to temp faster for early and late season. I'll have to look at the A052's, I found out Bridgestone's Potenza's heat up quick too, have you used those before? Lot of guys at the Pro Solo I went to in NJ back in April were running those. I'm not restricted that much, been told to go up to 275's. I might have to do that.

      @@gabem8119 I would expect A052's to be better than re71rs in your use case. Your wheel width is too narrow to go up to 275 though. It's a bit narrow for 265 as well. 10.5" wheels will fit easily with camber. That would be ideal for 275 tires.

    Hey Steven, what's your opinion of the MPP suspension vs. the Tesla stock adaptive dampers? How much time do you think were in the tyres and how much in the suspension vs. the stock setup?

    • @stevencase243
      @stevencase243  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a tough question without modifying everything one at a time. The tires are definitely the largest factor. All the other upgrades are to compliment the tire. Camber arms for better contact patch, spherical bearings for minimal alignment deflection, and the coilovers to keep the tire in contact with the surface as best as possible. They all add up.
