Beautiful guitars beautiful human being it seems. I wish I could have known and spoken to Gerard. Think it might have been what I needed to. Would have loved to have played his guitars. Too late now 😢
*I am fortunate to own one of Gerard's stunning guitars. A 2015 Solo Artist. Serial 1794.* *It is my #1 guitar. Outstanding resonance, harmonic overtones, etc...* *...but I had no idea Gerard played so beautifully! R.I.P.*
I can remember when I was able to get a private showing at NAMM in Nashville back in the early 2000’s. It took me 14 years later to finally have Gerard make me a guitar. He was one of greatest men I’ve ever met. It’s a shame I’ll never have my second Melancon from Gerard, but mine is sheer beauty. #1799 RIP
I have number #417. It's a Custom artist T. I remember talking to Gerard during the build and right after. When I received the instrument there were bubbles in the finish due to the heat at the shop. He had me send it back, refunded me my shipping, changed the controls for me and sent it back. He didn't bat an eye when I called him up to talk about the finish. Just send it back and he would make it right. That was 2001. A lot of guitars come and leave my home but the guitar Gerard built for me is one I've never considered selling. I enjoyed my short conversation with him and the long relationship I have had with the guitar. I am listening to his rendition of Amazing Grace as I type this. I did not realize he passed and while I am very sad that he has left us, I know that he is at peace.
He was a truly beautiful man of God. A friend and family. Love this video. Rest in Paradise with our Lord Savior, Gerard. You are Loved - and missed greatly 🙏🏼🙏🏼♥️♥️✝️🛐💟☮️🔥🕊❣️
R.I.P Girard. Though I never officially met you, I am extremely grateful to own two of your wonderful instruments. I am deeply saddened to hear this news, and like so many, you have left this earth far too soon. Rest assured though, that those of us who are lucky enough to own guitars that you have made absolutely love them. Every time I play my Melancons I will do my absolute best to celebrate your life and your craftsmanship. I play these guitars a lot, and I don’t think that will change anytime soon.. it’s a privilege to be a Melancon Artist. I am beyond grateful to have stumbled upon your inspiring instruments!
I'm fortunate to have a custom Pro Artist built by this fine man. It's just a guitar in this world, but it's a real treasure to me. I had no idea Gerard was this great at playing guitars too. God bless. 🙏🙏🙏
