Did the Waverley make it to Llandudno ? I`m sure the current boiler problems started around that time and the ship is still laid up. I had booked a cruise for my family in late August 2018, which was cancelled. The weather was bad then and I had a text to say that the Waverley had "technical problems". Hopefully this amazing ship can be funded and repaired , whatever it takes to sort.
