Glad this is one of the good ones, other than the unmasked head. Happy it's not glued, at least, just because now I can adjust the helmet myself unlike the other troopers. Love the updated articulation and fine tuned shoulder and knee pads. Bicep swivels are very important points of articulation on an action figure, and it's always bothered me that Black Series lacks them, especially when people lament when we don't get them in other lines. I get not wanting to break the sculpt, but they'd be very easy to implement in some designs, yet aren't.
I really hope we get new clone commanders in this new body soon. Also i don't understand why they didn't use either this or a more recent body with the holiday purge trooper, that surely means the new purge from the 3 pack will have that horrible old body as well :/

So great to see them update the sculpt on this! For me, the only thing the original clone body still has this beat on is the helmet. That original helmet looks much close to the RotS look.
Glorious. Yes, the headsculpt's paint is a bit wonky, but everything else is sublime. Everything I'd want in a TBS Clone. Now...if they'd go back and redo every one they've made previously. :)
I just got the commander Appo and from what I can tell they have a whole new helmet. It is not the same as the 212th or Shock troopers from before its a little more squished on top so kinda looks odd next to the other clones. They must have done it for it to be removable for some reason.
Really bummed they didnt change the crotch plate to be more like Andor and the other recent live action depictions, that would have majorly improved the leg articulation.
Hello Luke thanks for sharing your thoughts on the new Phase 2 Clone Trooper figure. I like the improvements Hasbro has made to this sculpt. The movable knee pads make kneeling poses look more realistic and the new arm swivel opens up a lot of articulation poses as well. I’m really hoping these shoulder pads hold up over time, I just had one of my original 2020 stormtroopers shoulder pads tear off from the o ring. I thought maybe it was just cause it was a couple years old and I messed around with it all the time but I bought a rocket launcher trooper just last week and it tore right out of the box.
The same thing happened to my Bad Batch Wrecker and Axe Woves. The soft rubber just sheared away. Hardly posed them when it happened. I ended up glueing the shoulder pads to the upper arm.😐
My view on this fig totally changed. I probably won’t get it anymore. The face is horrible. The lower legs and feet look off and reversed. He doesn’t seem to be in line with the rest of the CW clones that got their visors right on the black line that goes around the head. Damn. I wanted to do an army builder of this next to my 187th clones but nope. I’ll rather get Fives and Jesse now. Thanks for the review!
Im tempted to get a pauldron from etsy to put on this figure to make a custom captain wilco from BB season 2. I just don’t know how to paint or dry brush lol

so can the legs move forward without you having to rotate the thighs or is it like the 2020 body were you have to rotate them to move them completely forward

Looks like the latest and greatest for P2 Clones, just surpassed the old Bandai model kit for the helmet at least. Hoping for a 2.1 P1 clone some day. That old helmet is still ugly, Bandai model kit still superior for P1s.
I've been wanting them to give the Clones (& Stormies) removable helmets with painted heads since they brought out the new moulds a few years back. The face print looks weird, but better than nothing. He looks very starey. I might shavey beard like that.😂 Bicep swivel is welcome. The 0-Ring shoulder pads have sheared off on a couple of my figs. Maybe use tougher plastic. The knee pads look good. Sticking them to the upper leg was a weird idea. Now give us some alternative hands Hasbro. Fists, gesturing, relaxed, maybe one with a thermal detonator, ready to lob at some clankers.

It's still weird to think that the best clone head sculpts we got were 5 years ago with Rex and Wolfe.
Wolffe was not a great sculpt. It was way too wide and did not look like a clone versus Rex.

Another disappointing figure to me. His left elbow will not bend, and his face has a black smudge on his jaw. Otherwise it's pretty good.
Figure looks awesome so long as you keep the helmet on, that face is just bleh.
