On top of Kepler debuting in a really unfortunate time (the battle of the girl groups), I believe the group will also disband at a bad time, considering all girl groups from their respective companies will only be 2-4 years old and it can take up to 9 years for new groups to debut within the same company-a time in which most Kepler members would’ve “aged out” of the industry. Kinda sucks how they all joined GP and debuted in Kepler with the sole purpose of boosting their careers, and everything seems to be working against them.
5th gen started like 6 months ago so most companies are actually looking into debuting new girl groups this year, SM is planning to + YG already did so i’m sure other companies will want to get their new groups for 5th gen too in the next one year, i don’t think it’s bad timing for redebuting, there’s going to be new competition
Yea, would be nice but they're both assets within their company and so only way that could happen would maybe be a partnership between Avex and Jellyfish

Something impossible to happen, but I would really love to see xiaoting Hikaru and dayeon (our og p1) debut as a trio. As a chaehyun biased and collecter, I need her to be a soloist. it's a shame how wasted kep1er was as a group. although their lineup hadn't been ideal at the time of gp, it was still strong enough that they could've been a well-known group. i'm truly hoping that the girls get under a bigger company (other than shiro and yeseo due to limelight) bc given their companies' history with groups i don't see some of them managing the girls well. if their companies play their cards right and somehow manage to get girls from previous survival shows then they'd have _the_ lineup. imagine a lineup of jiwoo, chanelle + youngseo (runext), inhye (mtg), youngeun, hikaru, and xiaoting. that lineup alone could have them up there for 5th gen; they'd have amazing vocalists, rappers, dancers and the whole group would be _full_ of natural performers.
Yea, the pumping out of survival shows, I mean some companies have the potential to kinda form an "avenger-esque" type of group with trainees from diff survival shows and thus more attention
My predictions: Chaehyun - Become a soloist under Wakeone, or maybe (I hope) another company, but probably she will be just popular in Korea and her songs will be more calm and fresh, more like IU and Taeyeon with less dance and more singing. Bahi - I just can see her being in a group. Yujin - Become an actress. Dayeon - Debut in a group under Jellyfish with the Universe Ticket contestants. Youngeun - Her company has already posted that they are already planning to debut a group, probably waiting for her, but since it's not a popular company I quite think the group going to sadly flop, they recently debut a boy group with Rocky's (Astro) brother and it's not going well, since after 11 months, their debut song still have 1.6M views and I've never see someone talk about them (Haww). Yeseo and Mashiro - They are quite confirmed be part of Limelight. Hikaru - Hikaru is confirmed be out of the XG from their manager, I think she will probably be part of a new group but with a fresh and teen crush concept or debuting under another company. Xiaoting - If she doesn't debut in a new group probably she will just comeback to China or stay in Korea for modeling. For any of them, I can't she some companies like Hybe, looking for them, since they weren't as popular as Izone or I.O.I, but I think some companies like Wooling, WM, Starship, probably will take one of them to debut a new group
I get that Biscuit Ent is a small company but Haww didn't really get promoted too well to notice their debut like that. The only thing I heard about was that Rocky's brother was debuting in that group. So maybe having Youngeun with a bit more fame will add a bit more attention and help her once she redebuts in that company
Nooo no no. IOI were on top when they were active. They were competing with and on the level of the biggest GGs at the time. Kep1er is not even close to that

NGL If I were Maud Haus I'd try to get Xiaoting to get her as TripleS's final member. I think this could work well and she has some connections (with the GP999 members that are in the group) I think that group could also be Yujin's potential only chance at redebuting again but im not sure that she'd fit as well as Xiaoting the vibe of the group.

honestly out of the members and i dont mean this as hateful, bahiyyah and xiaoting are the only ones that outwardly scream idol to me and xiaoting i think especially would fit seamlessly in any girl group. she has that visual it girl appearance with a strong fanbase and really good dancing skills and charisma I view her similar to wonyoungs iz*one days and i really hope she redebuts in korea and potentially with hiyyah like yunjin and wonyoun/sakura and chaewon. I feel like the rest of the girls dont fit each others styles they all fit in different respective concepts that suit them so while i love the girls together I think they would all be more likely to flourish in different respective groups.

Losing SXT in KPop would become one of the industry's biggest shames. SXT is way, WAY too good to lose. Not everyone has the raw skillset, center visuals AND the variety sense that she has. Dayeon/Chaehyun will definitely be in GGs for sure, similar to Wonyoung/Yujin. They're kind of the first people you think about when it comes to Kep1er. Finally, Yujin. I definitely see her going the actress route (that was already the road she was on prior to GP999). But, I'm also hopeful about a CLC anniversary comeback once she's freed up as well. :)

Yea, XIaoting really has that potential but with the amount of crazy debuts when Kep1er debuted, there was so much competition and oversaturation that her potential didn't hit that hard like it could have. Really would be cool to see her stay in Korea

W1 lost a lot of their staff last year, and is still trying to negotiate an extension with Kep1er despite that + constantly mismanaged the group. They put so much effort into ZB1, and have left Kep1er on the back burner since (no hate to ZB1 as I love both groups, and it's not like W1 is good at treating ZB1 right either as they've been exposed for genuinely mistreating the members). If there's no announcement in the next few weeks of any activities, I won't hold my breath. 🥲

EL7ZUP was originally supposed to be managed by Wakeone too, but they had to be transferred to a different label due to staff shortages. ZB1 comeback also got postponed around the same time, and it's been known for a while now that Kep1er basically doesn't have much of (if any at all) a marketing team. In fact, the content around Kep1er's comeback at the time literally put the girls in the place of promoting and marketing it themselves.
I actually don't want Hiyyih to stay in the company she is now bc they have done nothing for her. I want to go to Hybe or any other "good one" but most companies already debuted gg in this recent years. I don't see Hybe debuting another gg, not even next year. She really wants to stay in the music industry, even try song writer and make music so I want her to be in a good place. I don't understand why people think Hiyyih would go the influencer/model route? Weeekly fans were upset in December because IST started auditions (when they have not managed Weeekly well), so they're likely debuting a new girl group in 2024 or 2025. Kinda like how FNC debuted Ampers&one not too long after P1HARMONY due to the popularity of Kamden and Jiho post-BP. If you know anything about Hiyyih, you'd know she's passionate about music and wants to continue being an idol above all else. I don't see her giving up making music to be a model or influencer. If she doesn't debut in a group, she'd probably be put on another survival show. I see a similar thing happening with Youngeun.
I think some people are worried about her in the industry because she’s openly talked about having confidence issues, and her effect of having so much hate as a young age. But I don’t think she will end her path as an idol. She clearly really loves music and has gotten into composing so she might even become a producer in the future. And, of course, some people just simply don’t like her so they think sliding her in as a model or influencer, makes her seem less worthy of being an idol
In my personal opinion I find her debuting in Weeekly 2.0 simply too much of a downgrade. It's obviously her choice but I'd rather have her be a model than be locked in a 7 year contract with another group that's getting the bare minimum, long hiatuses, bad management and no public recognition. Unless it's for a bigger company it's easier for her to be a model than nugu idol

I think he means that it is not that common to see siblings under the same company. especially if they are different genders. think about how JYP would not let both lee chea sisters debut in Itzy so cheayeon left so her little sister could debut. well there are plenty of examples especially from the second generation of two siblings debuting in the same company you don't usually see it anymore

Idk why the fans always hope that __ will be taken by hybe. If you compare the impact of Sakura and Chaewon, it doesn't even come close to the popularity of Kep1er. They are not in demand. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's a very rare chance. All signs point to Wakeone not doing their job properly. They haven't pushed each member to establish their individual presence. I believe only 2 or 3 members are well-known. In contrast to IZ*ONE, the agency did a good job promoting each member, evident in their post-disbandment works, including solo careers and members in Japan maintaining a strong fanbase that hasn't waned.
Yea, that's the main reason why I feel iffy about the amount of poaching comments. Like yea, some have the skills to do better than the companies they are in but doesn't mean companies will want them just like that. There's an IT factor that seems to be missing and was not established to see most of them as 100% investments.
honestly i'm optimistic. right now 5th gen only really has kiss of life and tripleS as major competition imo, so maybe a few of the girls redebut in a new group and have a good start with the market for ggs being a lot less of a bloodbath. unfortunately their debut was put up against acts like ive, newjeans, and le sserafim... pretty big competitors. but maybe with a smaller competition pool it's possible.
Ohh for sure, it feels like there aren't too many big companies still needing to debut gg soon. Only thing is that most of them are in relatively small - mid sized companies and so it'll also depend on how much promotion and attention they put on these post-groups or will they just rely on the hype of Kep1er
Kepler is that produce group where fans and outside kpop stans are anticipating more of their disbandment than actually them being in the group. They didnt pop off like their other produce counterparts and their music show wins are abysmal compared to IOI/WannaOne/Izone. They didnt even win ROTY on Mnet's MAMA, despite being an Mnet group. It speaks volume that there isnt a "this is Kep1er's sound' when speaking about what their music concept is. Think of Izone for example. Say "this song sounds like Izone" and many kpop stans understand what that sounds like. Rhodanthe im looking at you. But then bring the conversation back to "this is Kep1er's sound". What actually is it? Sadly, they havent solidified anything yet these past 2 years. Wadada was alright i suppose, due to it being a debut song, but their subsequent releases wasnt consecutively any better nor get them more traction in the charts. We Fresh was objectively a terrible comeback era and a quick look at album sales shows a negative trend downwards starting from First Impact. At this point of seeing the group, it seems that the main attraction and hype is for the survival show itself and a quick glance at the eliminated trainees show that they are doing well. Heck just look at Kotone, Nien and Xinyu. They have won Mnet's ROTY at MAMA despite not being in Kep1er.
Kep1er was fighting strong competition when they debuted so kinda makes sense why they didn't win ROTY. But yea, their success as a group has not been anything amazing for the general feeling of wanting extension for the group. That's kinda why I also think about how this would reflect of their inital success post-kep1er
I partially disagree. Kep1er's success came from its concert tour in Japan. They managed to have sold out concerts in 10,000+ arenas in Japan. Their combined physical sales from first 3 albums topped 1 million. And Wadada was a multiple winner. You just cannot compare Kep1er with TripleS.

Kinda once again reaffirms the bad timing of Kep1er's debut because swap TripleS and Kep1er's in their categories of ROTY for females and we would see Kep1er win and TripleS not.
Kep1er is a case where people love the members more than their music. I mean, they never released anything bad, but nothing really stood out as outstanding either. People just wanted them to succeed due to who they were over the group being great. I think the fandom was sustained by Planet 999 nostalgia and loving the girls, in other words. There's nothing wrong with that, but past glory only works if you have glory to build on. That said, I think the girls who are in companies have a good chance to re-debut in news groups. Sort of like an IZ*ONE situation where the members are spread to the four winds. I can't see any of them going solo as no one really made a huge mark in terms of building huge solo fanbase. I mean, yeah there were popular members, but it wasn't like viral fame. That's why I can't see a solo route. As far as Yujin goes, I think once this is over, she's going to follow what her fellow CLC members are doing; sign on to a smaller label (or possibly one of the same labels) and come out with indie songs every now and then. Sorn might have the business savy to gather as many CLC refugees together to form a new group, but with Elkie and Yeeun sort of preoccupied, I don't know how that will work. Plus, while I'm sure Cheshire are still around, can we really honestly say the CLC hype is big enough to sustain a real resurgence? CLC fans love complaining about CUBE but in the end it was the fans who didn't stream and didn't buy. I know because I was a Cheshire and I was constantly trying to get people to put their money where there mouth was. CUBE was a big problem, no doubt about that, but Cheshire had a victim complex with no interest in supporting when it counted. I'm saying all this to say that Cheshire years after the fact aren't the best fandom to back up a returning CLC. Our track record sucks.
no yeah i agree with cheshires being all talk. the sad reality is most kpop stans liked clcs music but they never tuned into actually stanning the group. that’s why i think a clc reunion wouldn’t do that bad bc not only would cheshires look forward to it but most kpop stans would tune in as well. they should probably just release a single and not a physical release though
That whole first para is straight facts. There seems to be a lot of solo stanning and inner fandom fighting considering the comments that I've been reading. As for CLC. they really made a suprise "resurgence" and did so well with Helicopter that it could have been the start of something new or a revitalisation for them. But we weren't able to see the extent of how strong Cheshires were getting. Don't think realistically CLC could be maintained as their main activity but it's something that could be fun thing hopefully

I agree with you about Hikaru being loyal to AVEX, but I don't know about her going solo. I think Avex will probably be able to arrange or sort some deal out with a Korean company and get Hikaru in a new girl group. Not sure where she will go exactly, but I definitely see them arranging something for Hikaru outside of their company. I don't honestly see any Kep1er girly going solo. WakeOne never allowed anyone to shine and they were never really promoted well. I think some girls have the skills to go solo, but they have no 'identity' in the Kpop industry. I genuinely believe that Kep1er would benefit the most from a group extension. They have a small, but loyal fanbase and unless some girls get lucky, I don't know how successful they would be post Kep1er. This makes me sad to say, but I think that it's true. A lot of the girls are in smaller companies (143, Biscuit, Xiaoting is in a Chinese company with what appears to be little to no connections to the Kpop industry).
Idk I think considering the fact that hikaru has a good relationship with Simon and the xg girls, im sure she’ll want to stay with her company and would talk with Simon about either going solo or into a new group. I don’t see her leaving her company

XG is still a very new group and has been doing VERY well for themselves. Unless Hikaru wants to wait years for Avex to debut another group, I don't think there is any other option. Yea, defs can see Simon try to arrange something like that for Hikaru. Plus that's kinda a great point regarding having an identity be big enough to be able to shine as a soloist despite maybe having the skills. I think of all the members, maybe Chaehyun could but she would be doing some real niche type of songs that wont be GP friendly type of releases. There was also Xiaoting but she doesn't have much connections but also not Korean to think that she could comfortably suceed as a soloist in Korea.

This is the same case with Gfriend, (though we know SouMu and Hybe might have higher influence unlike Cube) wherein, CLC girls can file for their trademark. Currently, SouMu has been denied multiple times for their trademark of Gfriend and this year the girls actually started becoming more open calling themselves _____ of YeojaChingu (Gfriend's Korean name). A lot of Gfriend fans are expecting a 2025 return. The CLC girls can also redebut with a different name, like Bravegirls --> BBgirls when they moved from Brave Ent to Warner Korea.
I mean what makes it hard to immediately reunite after Kep1er disbands is that they're all in diff companies with a few still in Cube, Elkie is promoting overseas for the most part so she'll need to travel over and set aside time for that, they'll need to find producers and come up with a comeback concept which that'll take time too, then funding to promote as a group or just even release a song with no promotions. I just think a lot of things have to align right to allow for them to reunite with new music. It's kinda similar to IOI, where they have Kyulkyung still in China, and most in diff companies doing their own thing.
Thank you for introducing Yujin with CLC Helicopter though she is currently co-leader of Kepler. Although CLC/Kepler Yujin is a pretty, adorable and sexy girl and is a good dancer/singer, I don't see her as a soloist. She is not as independent as CLC Sorn. Also, without fluency in English, her marketability is limited to only South Korea and Japan. CLC/Kepler Yujin might be a good addition to a girl group but is restricted by her "old" age. Thus, she would most likely be an actress like CLC Eunbin and CLC Seunghee.
Chaehyun-soloist under Wakeone Hikaru-Avex new global GG or korean company GG Yeseo and Mashiro- will debut together (with limelight or new GG under 143 ent.) Biscuit ent is really new so it's hard to tell at the moment. Not much has happened with the boy group they have, but maybe Youngeun's Kep1er experience might be the thing to change the presence of Biscuit Ent.
I'm thinking far in advanced but the one possibility of hybe signing Hiyyih is for Txt's future hiatus. Kai is the only member that does not have to go to the military and he and Hiyyih have already expressed that they would love to be a duo. Hybe usually thinks far in advance so signing her and debuting her in 2025/2026 with a gg could be a possibility. Then 5 years after that it would be easy to create a duo. Source only debuts gg and the will want more income aside from lesserafim, pledis is rumored to already be prepping their own gg for 2025/2026.
Source Music had been pretty fine with GFriend until they had Le Sserafim. Not sure if they necessarily need diversified income considering how well Le Sserafim is doing. Heard about Pledis too but they do have Fromis 9 which we'll see how they continue to manage them, but also TWS which they'll hopefully put a lot of attention to pushing up. I think doing something as a duo would still be possible even without being in the same company though.
It is still all very unclear. I think we just have wait and see. These girls might suprise us with something big in the future, and maybe some will decide to not keep up in this industry. Lets not forget Mashiro trained with Itzy and Chaehyun with SM/Aespa. All these girls have so much potentional. I really hope they have a bright future planned out for themselfs!

in terms of xiaoting it is very possible actually for her to possibly debut in hybe. yes she isn't on sakura's level of popularity however, she is popular in china similarly to how sakura is popular in japan. sakura obviously is more popular due to her being in akb48 and establishing herself within the group and among the jpop market so hybe capitilised on that and bagged her. xiaoting is an interesting case also because she also has a background in ballroom dancing similarly to kazuha in ballet so she could also be scouted through that as well. Overall, i don't think hybe focuses solely on popularity but skills/background as well idk if this makes sense
Yea, I mean the only thing that doesnt help is the fact that China is really strict with the hallyu wave in China and so it would be pretty hard for HYBE to capitalise on that fame in China so might not be worth. As for skills, yea she could always get poached because of that but similar to my explanation for Bahiyyih, most subsidiaries don't seem to be in preparation to debut a new girl group
I kinda doubt Avex would debut Hikaru as a soloist, honestly, foreign soloists have a tough time getting attention. I think she would work way better as the main rapper in a group that actually lets her rap. Avex oughta see if they can sign some sort of joint contract with a Korean agency to make that happen, similar to the one she has with Wake One.
Yea a join contract to be the main rapper of a kpop group or just a soloist in the niche japanese rap market. Didn't really think of her being a successful foreign soloist in the korean market. I think Kep1er just needs to leave Wakeone, there are better opportunities for them after they disband. They may have failed as Kep1er but I'm sure they will become successful in their new careers after the disbandment! Kep1ians just have to keep supporting them whatever path these girls take after the disbandment! Other agencies will not let their talent go to waste and for sure the members of Kep1er will have a good future after disbandment!

I think the clearer thing here its Mashiro and Yeseo redebut in Limelight, as we can see they also anunced that TADA as the last comeback with 3 members, also they will fit well in the group. Chaehyun and Yujin have all the talent to be soloist, btw idk how this will work for them... The rest of them will probably redebut in gg, if any company feel ambicious even 2 or 3 together, tbh more likely Hikaru, Dayeon and Youngeun, since they're amazing dancers they could debut with a fierce gg maining in dance/perform and rap as Itzy, depending of the rest line they could include Xiating but sinces she's 24 if the new members are young idk if she will be put there, also Bahiyih isn't def a stronger dancer or rapper, so i don't think she will fit with the others in that kind of gg, but if another concept she could... Any of them could be a great adition to any gg as least for a popularity boost...

But objectively talking she isn't at the dance level of Youngeun, Hikaru, Dayeon or Xiaoting, they are top tier dancers, also the first 3 of them are well known rappers, they hit very hard in Girl Crush concepts or groups like Itzy, Hiyyih fits more light concepts cause of her voice color and visuals...

I've seen rumours of her debuting in smngg (specifically the rumour was that sm allegedly signed a former sm trainee back) but I'm not sure how realistic that is. I've also seen wavs thinking that xiaoting will debut as the final member of tripleS which i also doubt. She'll have more career opportunities in china and i don't see her staying in Korea unless it's for a big company Bahi i don't think will stay in the industry either, she shines more in a group but i don't see hybe poaching her. in hikaru’s case she would go back to her company xgalx, who already has a group (xg) that’s barely 2 years old rn. I highly doubt Simon would debut a new girl group this early on considering he has xg and would probably want to wait until the girls’s hit 5 years or at least have a few wins under their belt to keep the company going. Unless hikaru does solo instead (which she should I love her sm) it’ll probably take years for her to redebut I also didn’t put a thought that she would join xg. It was confirmed by Simon himself that that’s not happening, and it wouldn’t make sense for her to join xg anyways as they would already be 2 years old. I’ve been around long enough to see how fans behave when a new member gets added a year or 2 after the group debuted, and I can’t see hikaru or the xg girls suffer from any kind of hate because of it, so it’s very unlikely she’ll join them. A new group or solo would be better suited for her

in terms of xg I think they're VERY well managed, plus I don't think Simon would risk Hikaru losing her hype and wait 3 years for her to redebut. If not a group then she would definitely go solo
yeah biscuit debuted a boy group last year (haww) but despite hyping up the fact that one of the members was the little brother of an astro member and debuting them *on astro's debut anniversary* they have done absolutely nothing with them since then, so.... i don't have high hopes for that girl group lol
I think with haww, they banked too much on that Astro connection which they didn't milk as much. Youngeun has multiple years of experience which it'll be herself debuting in the group so hopefully that is more impactful
I'm late on this, but, yeah, that's correct. Biscuit Entertainment could've relied on the family relation between Jeonggeun and Rocky (who would leave ASTRO not long after) but did NOTHING about it, and also pulled other shady acts with the group. Had they let the two brothers even interact together properly and, why not, collaborate on stage (btw, Jeonggeun later ended up in hiatus) like Moonbin (he always lives in AROHAs' hearts, may his memory always be blessed) and Moon Sua did with "Candy To My Ear," HAWW could've at least be more known and the connection with ASTRO and AROHAs could've brought more fans @@cloudchungxiao

A group that likely will be wrapped up by the time Kep1er's contract is over. Yeeun getting lots of votes is also a great sign of popularity aka more interest in CLC in general. Sorn has been consistently putting out music with her own hand in production for awhile! Seungyeon just recently collaborated with Sorn on her song and even choreographed it! Elkie has been continuing her career in Hong Kong & China. Not sure about Seunghee and Eunbin though since they're still under cube for acting/OST work. But Yujin would be completely free to participate in a comeback if she wanted to. Am I crazy for thinking this is possible??

Im gonna be honest, no one in Kep1er fits being a soloist... They all need to be in groups, they all have something missing in their skillset that would need to be complemented by other members in a group...

But i would like to add a couple of my own opinions for some of the members: bahihyih: i dont know for her, i cant envision her in a group, solo, or acting… yujin: if she chooses to stay in the industry, she probably would go more into acting (she has had minor roles in different series) youngeun: i would say that she might indeed pull a lee chaeyeon card but with maybe less idol (go on to dance shows, doing more dance related content) yeseo: i first forgot about limelight and i was convince about her becoming an actress aswell. i mean, she was a child actress and she is now a freshman in the theater departement of dongguk university (a university with other famous alumni like yoona and sunmi) xiaoting: im 99,99999% sure she will become an actress in china (follow the path like chen xiao- ex WJSN), she has enough visuals for the standaards and being an actress in china means earning REALLY well but anyways i think it would be interesting to revisit this video over a year~

As much as I'd like to see this happen--it doesn't make sense. The current "survival" members of TripleS makes it clear that they went for "almost-there's" in Kotone, Yooyeon and others. Not bashing TripleS at all--in fact, I LOVE their music. But the way their comeback model works (where audience votes in which subunit debuts next), it doesn't make sense for SXT/Hiyyih to go for that sort of non-guaranteed spot, and for TripleS members to suddenly compete with a new tier of already-debuted idols with a pre-existing fanbase.
It would be cool if jellyfish debuted a girl group kinda like evnne but make it permanent. Evnne has been doing pretty well so as long as they dont make the team too big and include mostly ex kep1er I think they have a chance at being successful. I would love chaehyun and dayeon to being in this group and hopefully more ex kep1er or gp999 girlies.

My dream scenario for the Kep1er members postdisbandment: Xiaoting + Yujin: Pull a Chaekkura and redebut together in HYBE. Say what you will about HYBE, but every artist under them is known to have a level of creative and personal freedom few other companies have and both of these girls deserve to be respected by their company for once. Yujin has never been at a company that treated her well, WakeOne completely underutilizes her, and Cube was....well, Cube. Same with Xiaoting, WakeOne doesn’t utilize her as they main slayer she should be!! I'm kinda thinking she'd have a chic and mature transformation like Sakura had with Le Sserafim. Youngeun: She's the only member I can see going solo and actually being successful, she IS the ace of Kepi for a reason. Maybe under Woolim because Eunbi's had a pretty good management under them? Or The Blacklabel because they fit her girl crush image, but I really don't want her under YG. (idk why but I could also maybe see her redebuting with hihiz? again idk it's just a vibe) Hikaru + Bahiyyih: PLEASE just redebut together. I've heard many people say they'll be added to Limelight, 143's other girl group. Now, I don't know anything about Limelight, BUT I went to KCON and saw their showcase stage and I think they're really really cute!! I think Yeseo and Mashiro would fit their concept and sound, ESPECIALLY Yeseo omg!! Dayeon - Dayeon was actually the hardest one for me to come up with because I actually don't think she's strong enough to go solo. She's a great dancer, and her stage presence is out of this world, but I don't think her vocals are enough as of right now. Like, she can sing, but to be a soloist with no other members to share the burden, you need to be a SINGER (ex. Chungha, Yuri, even Somi). That being said, I feel like if she were in a group, we'd get a situation like what happened with most of the post-ioi groups, and we'd have "Dayeon & Friends." I could actually see her pulling a Natty, going solo first and then joining a group. Ideally a 6-7 member group, maybe under kq?

@@cloudchungxiao she is the most well rounded member as she has great stylistic choices when performing things. She’s an all rounder but an all rounder that’s more vocal based compared to rap like Dayeon. The most popular soloists in kpop are always vocal and dance focused individuals and so both Chaehyun who’s only vocal and Dayeon who’s rap dance focused wouldn’t have as good of a run most likely. Taking risks can pay off when it comes to debuting soloists (Chaeyeon with only being dance focused, yuri with a vocal focus, etc) but if you look at all popular soloists that come from groups you see a heavy lean towards the members who are more strong in dance first and then vocals after dance which is what Youngeun is. She’s a good dancer (not the best in kep1er but good enough to hold her own) and a good vocalist. Just a few of the soloists that focus in the dance/vocal trend I see in female soloists would be artists like Chungha, Somi, Seulgi, Hwasa, Eunbi, Yena, and Boa. There are obviously people who don’t follow the trend like CL (rap only), Bibi (rap only), Sunmi (vocal only), IU (vocal only), Chaeyeon (dance only), etc but you’re more likely to succeed when you have a good amount of skill in both dance and vocal when you’re a female soloist. I’ve been into kpop since 2016/2017 and so from all the artists I’ve consumed content from I like comparing and contrasting the marketability of different kpop groups and analyzing why groups blow up (especially why nugu groups blow up).
Ohh defs see what you mean. I think skill wise, Youngeun coulds defs bring something. Only think that she'll need to work on though is marketability to kinda make her stick out more as being her own idol. Wakeone hasn't done too much too truly push her.
I think she can be marketable considering Youngeun stood out more than JIa during their audition. It's just more of intention from companies and slight politics to be favored more which Youngeun doesn't have too much going for her
the thing that i can say about these girls after disbanding is that xiaoting and bahhyih are goin to be big cuz they have a big fanbase. dayeon is goin to flop so hard, cuz even with the huge amount of lines and screentime, the people didnt like it, cuz she is not the main character of the group and you can see thats why they flop, cuz they pushed her a lot, while the popular ones where locked in the last spots of line distributions. Also dayeon got into the group cuz people feel pity of her and her mom, cuz of that episode they were crying like a baby to get into the final group.
Idk if she's just gonna flop like that because there is a chance that jellyfish learn there lessons and actually form a solid group. But yea, perfect representation of the state of kep1ians hahaha

Xiaoting & Bahiyyih - probably poached by Hybe for their next GG (probably be YEARSSSSS from now though, maybe 6th gene) because Xiaoting is like Sakura to me, she has the potential, and especially being a none korean which may he 'unique', and Bahiyyih.. obviously some ties to her brother Chaehyun - will most likely go the Jo Yuri route of softer tone soloist which response might be lukewarm Youngeun - Probably a soloist too, in the likes of Chungha and Lee Chaeyeon, more dance centric Yeshiro - Limelight (the end) Hikaru - Probably return to Jap, join XG, or wait to be poached. Dayeon - Most likely similar route as Youngeun, in the Chungha/Chaeyeon style. Sadly i don't see most of them joining together after kep1er because of their companies and Kep1er wasn't that HOT hot popular in korea, many companies may prefer not to get them. But they are super popular in japan though.
I think Sakura and Chaewon are the exception tbh. For the most part, all members within a MNET-temporary group were already in the same company and so that's why we saw so many post-MNET groups with two members. WIth Kep1er, we only see that with Mashiro and Yeseo which they likely will debut together. None of them else are in the same original companies
I predict none of them will redebut in a different group. Well,the Maknes(Yeseo or Yeongun)might audition for an another group but the rest of the members look exhausting AF. Kep1er is definitely going to have to disband. I'm not taking a band that has lots of rumours like Kep1er. This is one of the reasons why I hate some of the members. Out of all 9 members I only like 2 of them. And that doesn't really happen with me in liking girl bands.
On top of Kepler debuting in a really unfortunate time (the battle of the girl groups), I believe the group will also disband at a bad time, considering all girl groups from their respective companies will only be 2-4 years old and it can take up to 9 years for new groups to debut within the same company-a time in which most Kepler members would’ve “aged out” of the industry. Kinda sucks how they all joined GP and debuted in Kepler with the sole purpose of boosting their careers, and everything seems to be working against them.
5th gen started like 6 months ago so most companies are actually looking into debuting new girl groups this year, SM is planning to + YG already did so i’m sure other companies will want to get their new groups for 5th gen too in the next one year, i don’t think it’s bad timing for redebuting, there’s going to be new competition
I wanna say besides IST's history and Avex, the rest seem like they don't have any recently debuted girl group to warrant a big wait before re-debut

it's a shame how wasted kep1er was as a group. although their lineup hadn't been ideal at the time of gp, it was still strong enough that they could've been a well-known group. i'm truly hoping that the girls get under a bigger company (other than shiro and yeseo due to limelight) bc given their companies' history with groups i don't see some of them managing the girls well. if their companies play their cards right and somehow manage to get girls from previous survival shows then they'd have _the_ lineup. imagine a lineup of jiwoo, chanelle + youngseo (runext), inhye (mtg), youngeun, hikaru, and xiaoting. that lineup alone could have them up there for 5th gen; they'd have amazing vocalists, rappers, dancers and the whole group would be _full_ of natural performers.

Chaehyun - Become a soloist under Wakeone, or maybe (I hope) another company, but probably she will be just popular in Korea and her songs will be more calm and fresh, more like IU and Taeyeon with less dance and more singing.
Bahi - I just can see her being in a group.
Yujin - Become an actress.
Dayeon - Debut in a group under Jellyfish with the Universe Ticket contestants.
Youngeun - Her company has already posted that they are already planning to debut a group, probably waiting for her, but since it's not a popular company I quite think the group going to sadly flop, they recently debut a boy group with Rocky's (Astro) brother and it's not going well, since after 11 months, their debut song still have 1.6M views and I've never see someone talk about them (Haww).
Yeseo and Mashiro - They are quite confirmed be part of Limelight.
Hikaru - Hikaru is confirmed be out of the XG from their manager, I think she will probably be part of a new group but with a fresh and teen crush concept or debuting under another company.
Xiaoting - If she doesn't debut in a new group probably she will just comeback to China or stay in Korea for modeling.
For any of them, I can't she some companies like Hybe, looking for them, since they weren't as popular as Izone or I.O.I, but I think some companies like Wooling, WM, Starship, probably will take one of them to debut a new group
I get that Biscuit Ent is a small company but Haww didn't really get promoted too well to notice their debut like that. The only thing I heard about was that Rocky's brother was debuting in that group. So maybe having Youngeun with a bit more fame will add a bit more attention and help her once she redebuts in that company

NGL If I were Maud Haus I'd try to get Xiaoting to get her as TripleS's final member. I think this could work well and she has some connections (with the GP999 members that are in the group) I think that group could also be Yujin's potential only chance at redebuting again but im not sure that she'd fit as well as Xiaoting the vibe of the group.

honestly out of the members and i dont mean this as hateful, bahiyyah and xiaoting are the only ones that outwardly scream idol to me and xiaoting i think especially would fit seamlessly in any girl group. she has that visual it girl appearance with a strong fanbase and really good dancing skills and charisma I view her similar to wonyoungs iz*one days and i really hope she redebuts in korea and potentially with hiyyah like yunjin and wonyoun/sakura and chaewon. I feel like the rest of the girls dont fit each others styles they all fit in different respective concepts that suit them so while i love the girls together I think they would all be more likely to flourish in different respective groups.

Losing SXT in KPop would become one of the industry's biggest shames. SXT is way, WAY too good to lose. Not everyone has the raw skillset, center visuals AND the variety sense that she has.
Dayeon/Chaehyun will definitely be in GGs for sure, similar to Wonyoung/Yujin. They're kind of the first people you think about when it comes to Kep1er.
Finally, Yujin. I definitely see her going the actress route (that was already the road she was on prior to GP999). But, I'm also hopeful about a CLC anniversary comeback once she's freed up as well. :)

W1 lost a lot of their staff last year, and is still trying to negotiate an extension with Kep1er despite that + constantly mismanaged the group. They put so much effort into ZB1, and have left Kep1er on the back burner since (no hate to ZB1 as I love both groups, and it's not like W1 is good at treating ZB1 right either as they've been exposed for genuinely mistreating the members). If there's no announcement in the next few weeks of any activities, I won't hold my breath. 🥲

EL7ZUP was originally supposed to be managed by Wakeone too, but they had to be transferred to a different label due to staff shortages. ZB1 comeback also got postponed around the same time, and it's been known for a while now that Kep1er basically doesn't have much of (if any at all) a marketing team. In fact, the content around Kep1er's comeback at the time literally put the girls in the place of promoting and marketing it themselves.
I actually don't want Hiyyih to stay in the company she is now bc they have done nothing for her. I want to go to Hybe or any other "good one" but most companies already debuted gg in this recent years. I don't see Hybe debuting another gg, not even next year. She really wants to stay in the music industry, even try song writer and make music so I want her to be in a good place. I don't understand why people think Hiyyih would go the influencer/model route? Weeekly fans were upset in December because IST started auditions (when they have not managed Weeekly well), so they're likely debuting a new girl group in 2024 or 2025. Kinda like how FNC debuted Ampers&one not too long after P1HARMONY due to the popularity of Kamden and Jiho post-BP. If you know anything about Hiyyih, you'd know she's passionate about music and wants to continue being an idol above all else. I don't see her giving up making music to be a model or influencer.
If she doesn't debut in a group, she'd probably be put on another survival show. I see a similar thing happening with Youngeun.
I think some people are worried about her in the industry because she’s openly talked about having confidence issues, and her effect of having so much hate as a young age.
But I don’t think she will end her path as an idol. She clearly really loves music and has gotten into composing so she might even become a producer in the future.
And, of course, some people just simply don’t like her so they think sliding her in as a model or influencer, makes her seem less worthy of being an idol
In my personal opinion I find her debuting in Weeekly 2.0 simply too much of a downgrade. It's obviously her choice but I'd rather have her be a model than be locked in a 7 year contract with another group that's getting the bare minimum, long hiatuses, bad management and no public recognition. Unless it's for a bigger company it's easier for her to be a model than nugu idol

She's still more likely to debut in an IST group though, as the company held auditions back in December.

I disagree a bit because Hybe is a conglomerate with sub labels that funds projects for their sub labels. So I think Hybe could handle another girl group come 2025 or 2026. It's a lot, yes. No doubt about that though. It all depends on how they handle it.

Idk why the fans always hope that __ will be taken by hybe. If you compare the impact of Sakura and Chaewon, it doesn't even come close to the popularity of Kep1er. They are not in demand. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's a very rare chance. All signs point to Wakeone not doing their job properly. They haven't pushed each member to establish their individual presence. I believe only 2 or 3 members are well-known. In contrast to IZ*ONE, the agency did a good job promoting each member, evident in their post-disbandment works, including solo careers and members in Japan maintaining a strong fanbase that hasn't waned.
Yea, that's the main reason why I feel iffy about the amount of poaching comments. Like yea, some have the skills to do better than the companies they are in but doesn't mean companies will want them just like that. There's an IT factor that seems to be missing and was not established to see most of them as 100% investments.
honestly i'm optimistic. right now 5th gen only really has kiss of life and tripleS as major competition imo, so maybe a few of the girls redebut in a new group and have a good start with the market for ggs being a lot less of a bloodbath. unfortunately their debut was put up against acts like ive, newjeans, and le sserafim... pretty big competitors. but maybe with a smaller competition pool it's possible.
Ohh for sure, it feels like there aren't too many big companies still needing to debut gg soon. Only thing is that most of them are in relatively small - mid sized companies and so it'll also depend on how much promotion and attention they put on these post-groups or will they just rely on the hype of Kep1er

Kepler is that produce group where fans and outside kpop stans are anticipating more of their disbandment than actually them being in the group. They didnt pop off like their other produce counterparts and their music show wins are abysmal compared to IOI/WannaOne/Izone. They didnt even win ROTY on Mnet's MAMA, despite being an Mnet group. It speaks volume that there isnt a "this is Kep1er's sound' when speaking about what their music concept is. Think of Izone for example. Say "this song sounds like Izone" and many kpop stans understand what that sounds like. Rhodanthe im looking at you. But then bring the conversation back to "this is Kep1er's sound". What actually is it? Sadly, they havent solidified anything yet these past 2 years. Wadada was alright i suppose, due to it being a debut song, but their subsequent releases wasnt consecutively any better nor get them more traction in the charts. We Fresh was objectively a terrible comeback era and a quick look at album sales shows a negative trend downwards starting from First Impact.
At this point of seeing the group, it seems that the main attraction and hype is for the survival show itself and a quick glance at the eliminated trainees show that they are doing well. Heck just look at Kotone, Nien and Xinyu. They have won Mnet's ROTY at MAMA despite not being in Kep1er.
Kep1er was fighting strong competition when they debuted so kinda makes sense why they didn't win ROTY. But yea, their success as a group has not been anything amazing for the general feeling of wanting extension for the group. That's kinda why I also think about how this would reflect of their inital success post-kep1er
I partially disagree. Kep1er's success came from its concert tour in Japan. They managed to have sold out concerts in 10,000+ arenas in Japan. Their combined physical sales from first 3 albums topped 1 million. And Wadada was a multiple winner. You just cannot compare Kep1er with TripleS.
Also, TripleS had won ROTY with Yooyeon, Naky and co. Its foreign members are NOT popular at all, at least not yet.

Ohh yea, I mean what Kep1er has done in terms of other things has been impressive and probably is still more successful than TripleS in many, if not most, aspects. Kinda once again reaffirms the bad timing of Kep1er's debut because swap TripleS and Kep1er's in their categories of ROTY for females and we would see Kep1er win and TripleS not.
Kep1er is a case where people love the members more than their music. I mean, they never released anything bad, but nothing really stood out as outstanding either. People just wanted them to succeed due to who they were over the group being great. I think the fandom was sustained by Planet 999 nostalgia and loving the girls, in other words. There's nothing wrong with that, but past glory only works if you have glory to build on.
That said, I think the girls who are in companies have a good chance to re-debut in news groups. Sort of like an IZ*ONE situation where the members are spread to the four winds. I can't see any of them going solo as no one really made a huge mark in terms of building huge solo fanbase. I mean, yeah there were popular members, but it wasn't like viral fame. That's why I can't see a solo route.
As far as Yujin goes, I think once this is over, she's going to follow what her fellow CLC members are doing; sign on to a smaller label (or possibly one of the same labels) and come out with indie songs every now and then. Sorn might have the business savy to gather as many CLC refugees together to form a new group, but with Elkie and Yeeun sort of preoccupied, I don't know how that will work.
Plus, while I'm sure Cheshire are still around, can we really honestly say the CLC hype is big enough to sustain a real resurgence? CLC fans love complaining about CUBE but in the end it was the fans who didn't stream and didn't buy. I know because I was a Cheshire and I was constantly trying to get people to put their money where there mouth was. CUBE was a big problem, no doubt about that, but Cheshire had a victim complex with no interest in supporting when it counted. I'm saying all this to say that Cheshire years after the fact aren't the best fandom to back up a returning CLC. Our track record sucks.
no yeah i agree with cheshires being all talk. the sad reality is most kpop stans liked clcs music but they never tuned into actually stanning the group. that’s why i think a clc reunion wouldn’t do that bad bc not only would cheshires look forward to it but most kpop stans would tune in as well. they should probably just release a single and not a physical release though
That whole first para is straight facts. There seems to be a lot of solo stanning and inner fandom fighting considering the comments that I've been reading.
As for CLC. they really made a suprise "resurgence" and did so well with Helicopter that it could have been the start of something new or a revitalisation for them. But we weren't able to see the extent of how strong Cheshires were getting. I agree with you about Hikaru being loyal to AVEX, but I don't know about her going solo. I think Avex will probably be able to arrange or sort some deal out with a Korean company and get Hikaru in a new girl group. Not sure where she will go exactly, but I definitely see them arranging something for Hikaru outside of their company. I don't honestly see any Kep1er girly going solo. WakeOne never allowed anyone to shine and they were never really promoted well. I think some girls have the skills to go solo, but they have no 'identity' in the Kpop industry. I genuinely believe that Kep1er would benefit the most from a group extension. They have a small, but loyal fanbase and unless some girls get lucky, I don't know how successful they would be post Kep1er. This makes me sad to say, but I think that it's true. A lot of the girls are in smaller companies (143, Biscuit, Xiaoting is in a Chinese company with what appears to be little to no connections to the Kpop industry).
Idk I think considering the fact that hikaru has a good relationship with Simon and the xg girls, im sure she’ll want to stay with her company and would talk with Simon about either going solo or into a new group. I don’t see her leaving her company

XG is still a very new group and has been doing VERY well for themselves. Unless Hikaru wants to wait years for Avex to debut another group, I don't think there is any other option. The only other option would be going solo and she 100% does not have a strong enough established fandom for it.
Yea, defs can see Simon try to arrange something like that for Hikaru. Plus that's kinda a great point regarding having an identity be big enough to be able to shine as a soloist despite maybe having the skills. I think of all the members, maybe Chaehyun could but she would be doing some real niche type of songs that wont be GP friendly type of releases. There was also Xiaoting but she doesn't have much connections but also not Korean to think that she could comfortably suceed as a soloist in Korea.

This is the same case with Gfriend, (though we know SouMu and Hybe might have higher influence unlike Cube) wherein, CLC girls can file for their trademark. Currently, SouMu has been denied multiple times for their trademark of Gfriend and this year the girls actually started becoming more open calling themselves _____ of YeojaChingu (Gfriend's Korean name). A lot of Gfriend fans are expecting a 2025 return.
The CLC girls can also redebut with a different name, like Bravegirls --> BBgirls when they moved from Brave Ent to Warner Korea.

I mean what makes it hard to immediately reunite after Kep1er disbands is that they're all in diff companies with a few still in Cube, Elkie is promoting overseas for the most part so she'll need to travel over and set aside time for that, they'll need to find producers and come up with a comeback concept which that'll take time too, then funding to promote as a group or just even release a song with no promotions. I just think a lot of things have to align right to allow for them to reunite with new music. It's kinda similar to IOI, where they have Kyulkyung still in China, and most in diff companies doing their own thing.
Thank you for introducing Yujin with CLC Helicopter though she is currently co-leader of Kepler. Although CLC/Kepler Yujin is a pretty, adorable and sexy girl and is a good dancer/singer, I don't see her as a soloist. She is not as independent as CLC Sorn. Also, without fluency in English, her marketability is limited to only South Korea and Japan. CLC/Kepler Yujin might be a good addition to a girl group but is restricted by her "old" age. Thus, she would most likely be an actress like CLC Eunbin and CLC Seunghee.
Yea for sure, didn't elaborate too much about not being a soloist but those are a few reasons that led me to my prediction for her future.

Biscuit ent is really new so it's hard to tell at the moment. Not much has happened with the boy group they have, but maybe Youngeun's Kep1er experience might be the thing to change the presence of Biscuit Ent.
I'm thinking far in advanced but the one possibility of hybe signing Hiyyih is for Txt's future hiatus. Kai is the only member that does not have to go to the military and he and Hiyyih have already expressed that they would love to be a duo. Hybe usually thinks far in advance so signing her and debuting her in 2025/2026 with a gg could be a possibility. Then 5 years after that it would be easy to create a duo.
Source only debuts gg and the will want more income aside from lesserafim, pledis is rumored to already be prepping their own gg for 2025/2026.
Source Music had been pretty fine with GFriend until they had Le Sserafim. Not sure if they necessarily need diversified income considering how well Le Sserafim is doing. Heard about Pledis too but they do have Fromis 9 which we'll see how they continue to manage them, but also TWS which they'll hopefully put a lot of attention to pushing up. I think doing something as a duo would still be possible even without being in the same company though.
It is still all very unclear. I think we just have wait and see. These girls might suprise us with something big in the future, and maybe some will decide to not keep up in this industry.
Lets not forget Mashiro trained with Itzy and Chaehyun with SM/Aespa. All these girls have so much potentional. I really hope they have a bright future planned out for themselfs!

in terms of xiaoting it is very possible actually for her to possibly debut in hybe. yes she isn't on sakura's level of popularity however, she is popular in china similarly to how sakura is popular in japan. sakura obviously is more popular due to her being in akb48 and establishing herself within the group and among the jpop market so hybe capitilised on that and bagged her. xiaoting is an interesting case also because she also has a background in ballroom dancing similarly to kazuha in ballet so she could also be scouted through that as well. Overall, i don't think hybe focuses solely on popularity but skills/background as well idk if this makes sense
Yea, I mean the only thing that doesnt help is the fact that China is really strict with the hallyu wave in China and so it would be pretty hard for HYBE to capitalise on that fame in China so might not be worth. As for skills, yea she could always get poached because of that but similar to my explanation for Bahiyyih, most subsidiaries don't seem to be in preparation to debut a new girl group
But HYBE has taken anti-Chinese stance. It has hired no Chinese other than those from Seventeen, which is not original Hybe group.

I kinda doubt Avex would debut Hikaru as a soloist, honestly, foreign soloists have a tough time getting attention. I think she would work way better as the main rapper in a group that actually lets her rap. Avex oughta see if they can sign some sort of joint contract with a Korean agency to make that happen, similar to the one she has with Wake One.
Yea a join contract to be the main rapper of a kpop group or just a soloist in the niche japanese rap market. Didn't really think of her being a successful foreign soloist in the korean market. But she could do something in Japan or just appear here and there in Korea with collabs as the rapper on the songs
I think Kep1er just needs to leave Wakeone, there are better opportunities for them after they disband. They may have failed as Kep1er but I'm sure they will become successful in their new careers after the disbandment! Kep1ians just have to keep supporting them whatever path these girls take after the disbandment! I also didn’t put a thought that she would join xg. It was confirmed by Simon himself that that’s not happening, and it wouldn’t make sense for her to join xg anyways as they would already be 2 years old. I’ve been around long enough to see how fans behave when a new member gets added a year or 2 after the group debuted, and I can’t see hikaru or the xg girls suffer from any kind of hate because of it, so it’s very unlikely she’ll join them. I think with haww, they banked too much on that Astro connection which they didn't milk as much. Youngeun has multiple years of experience which it'll be herself debuting in the group so hopefully that is more impactful
I'm late on this, but, yeah, that's correct. Biscuit Entertainment could've relied on the family relation between Jeonggeun and Rocky (who would leave ASTRO not long after) but did NOTHING about it, and also pulled other shady acts with the group. Had they let the two brothers even interact together properly and, why not, collaborate on stage (btw, Jeonggeun later ended up in hiatus) like Moonbin (he always lives in AROHAs' hearts, may his memory always be blessed) and Moon Sua did with "Candy To My Ear," HAWW could've at least be more known and the connection with ASTRO and AROHAs could've brought more fans @@cloudchungxiao

Am I delusional to think CLC reuniting even briefly has a decent chance of happening? Yeeun just debuted again in EL7Z UP (through the survival show Queendom Puzzle). A group that likely will be wrapped up by the time Kep1er's contract is over. Yeeun getting lots of votes is also a great sign of popularity aka more interest in CLC in general. Sorn has been consistently putting out music with her own hand in production for awhile! Seungyeon just recently collaborated with Sorn on her song and even choreographed it! Elkie has been continuing her career in Hong Kong & China. Not sure about Seunghee and Eunbin though since they're still under cube for acting/OST work. But Yujin would be completely free to participate in a comeback if she wanted to. Am I crazy for thinking this is possible??

for the most parts i agree with your predictions! But i would like to add a couple of my own opinions for some of the members:
bahihyih: i dont know for her, i cant envision her in a group, solo, or acting…
yujin: if she chooses to stay in the industry, she probably would go more into acting (she has had minor roles in different series)
youngeun: i would say that she might indeed pull a lee chaeyeon card but with maybe less idol (go on to dance shows, doing more dance related content)
yeseo: i first forgot about limelight and i was convince about her becoming an actress aswell. i mean, she was a child actress and she is now a freshman in the theater departement of dongguk university (a university with other famous alumni like yoona and sunmi)
xiaoting: im 99,99999% sure she will become an actress in china (follow the path like chen xiao- ex WJSN), she has enough visuals for the standaards and being an actress in china means earning REALLY well
but anyways i think it would be interesting to revisit this video over a year~

As much as I'd like to see this happen--it doesn't make sense. The current "survival" members of TripleS makes it clear that they went for "almost-there's" in Kotone, Yooyeon and others.
Not bashing TripleS at all--in fact, I LOVE their music. But the way their comeback model works (where audience votes in which subunit debuts next), it doesn't make sense for SXT/Hiyyih to go for that sort of non-guaranteed spot, and for TripleS members to suddenly compete with a new tier of already-debuted idols with a pre-existing fanbase.

It would be cool if jellyfish debuted a girl group kinda like evnne but make it permanent. Evnne has been doing pretty well so as long as they dont make the team too big and include mostly ex kep1er I think they have a chance at being successful. I would love chaehyun and dayeon to being in this group and hopefully more ex kep1er or gp999 girlies.
Would be an interesting concept, but they would probably need to be poached tbh to all be fully signed under Jellyfish. Idk if they would want to continue splitting profits between multiple companies.

My dream scenario for the Kep1er members postdisbandment:
Xiaoting + Yujin: Pull a Chaekkura and redebut together in HYBE. Say what you will about HYBE, but every artist under them is known to have a level of creative and personal freedom few other companies have and both of these girls deserve to be respected by their company for once. Yujin has never been at a company that treated her well, WakeOne completely underutilizes her, and Cube was....well, Cube. Same with Xiaoting, WakeOne doesn’t utilize her as they main slayer she should be!! I'm kinda thinking she'd have a chic and mature transformation like Sakura had with Le Sserafim.
Youngeun: She's the only member I can see going solo and actually being successful, she IS the ace of Kepi for a reason. Maybe under Woolim because Eunbi's had a pretty good management under them? Or The Blacklabel because they fit her girl crush image, but I really don't want her under YG. (idk why but I could also maybe see her redebuting with hihiz? again idk it's just a vibe)
Hikaru + Bahiyyih: PLEASE just redebut together. I love HiHiz, they're such a cute and talented duo, and their genuine friendship is so heartwarming they NEED to redebut together, ideally in a 5-7 member group. Under what company, I don't know yet. Maybe Woolim again? Superbell Company's first gg? Top Media and debut with Myah? I'd say HYBE again, but I just know people would have some shit to say about her being under the same company as Kai, so that's a hard no. (And Hikaru was already told she wasn't gonna debut with XG before she joined Girl's Planet so that's not an option.)
Chaehyun - Maybe solo? She definitely has the vocals necessary and she's a good performer so she could be a great soloist, but.... I just like Chaehyun in a group. She suits group dynamics perfectly, and I think she would have a greater chance to shine in a 4-6 member group. Honestly, I'd love to see her be the leader if she were to redebut in a group! She has such a strong leader vibe that I sometimes forget she is not Kep1er's leader. (I felt the same way about Yujin in Iz*One and now she's Ive's leader, and she's PERFECT)
Mashiro + Yeseo: I know they're both under 143 Entertainment so they'll most likely redebut together! I've heard many people say they'll be added to Limelight, 143's other girl group. Now, I don't know anything about Limelight, BUT I went to KCON and saw their showcase stage and I think they're really really cute!! I think Yeseo and Mashiro would fit their concept and sound, ESPECIALLY Yeseo omg!!
Dayeon - Dayeon was actually the hardest one for me to come up with because I actually don't think she's strong enough to go solo. She's a great dancer, and her stage presence is out of this world, but I don't think her vocals are enough as of right now. Like, she can sing, but to be a soloist with no other members to share the burden, you need to be a SINGER (ex. Chungha, Yuri, even Somi). That being said, I feel like if she were in a group, we'd get a situation like what happened with most of the post-ioi groups, and we'd have "Dayeon & Friends." I could actually see her pulling a Natty, going solo first and then joining a group. Ideally a 6-7 member group, maybe under kq?

@@cloudchungxiao just a vibe 😭😭 don't know why since there are other members with better chemistry than then, but i think they would fit togheter, dayeon is noisy, xiaoting the quiet one that laughs at everything and chaehyun is like both, can see them being funny in vlive plus i think their talents complement each other (chaheyun is a vocalist, dayeon is a rapper and dancer and xiaoting is a performer + visual), but yes i also think they work well in performances

@@cloudchungxiao she is the most well rounded member as she has great stylistic choices when performing things. She’s an all rounder but an all rounder that’s more vocal based compared to rap like Dayeon. The most popular soloists in kpop are always vocal and dance focused individuals and so both Chaehyun who’s only vocal and Dayeon who’s rap dance focused wouldn’t have as good of a run most likely. Taking risks can pay off when it comes to debuting soloists (Chaeyeon with only being dance focused, yuri with a vocal focus, etc) but if you look at all popular soloists that come from groups you see a heavy lean towards the members who are more strong in dance first and then vocals after dance which is what Youngeun is. She’s a good dancer (not the best in kep1er but good enough to hold her own) and a good vocalist.
Just a few of the soloists that focus in the dance/vocal trend I see in female soloists would be artists like Chungha, Somi, Seulgi, Hwasa, Eunbi, Yena, and Boa. There are obviously people who don’t follow the trend like CL (rap only), Bibi (rap only), Sunmi (vocal only), IU (vocal only), Chaeyeon (dance only), etc but you’re more likely to succeed when you have a good amount of skill in both dance and vocal when you’re a female soloist.
I’ve been into kpop since 2016/2017 and so from all the artists I’ve consumed content from I like comparing and contrasting the marketability of different kpop groups and analyzing why groups blow up (especially why nugu groups blow up).
Ohh defs see what you mean. I think skill wise, Youngeun coulds defs bring something. Only think that she'll need to work on though is marketability to kinda make her stick out more as being her own idol. Wakeone hasn't done too much too truly push her.

I think she can be marketable considering Youngeun stood out more than JIa during their audition. It's just more of intention from companies and slight politics to be favored more which Youngeun doesn't have too much going for her
the thing that i can say about these girls after disbanding is that xiaoting and bahhyih are goin to be big cuz they have a big fanbase. dayeon is goin to flop so hard, cuz even with the huge amount of lines and screentime, the people didnt like it, cuz she is not the main character of the group and you can see thats why they flop, cuz they pushed her a lot, while the popular ones where locked in the last spots of line distributions. Also dayeon got into the group cuz people feel pity of her and her mom, cuz of that episode they were crying like a baby to get into the final group.

Sadly i don't see most of them joining together after kep1er because of their companies and Kep1er wasn't that HOT hot popular in korea, many companies may prefer not to get them. But they are super popular in japan though.
I think Sakura and Chaewon are the exception tbh. For the most part, all members within a MNET-temporary group were already in the same company and so that's why we saw so many post-MNET groups with two members. WIth Kep1er, we only see that with Mashiro and Yeseo which they likely will debut together. None of them else are in the same original companies
