Nice video. What if I need to move files into specific folders? All files starting with A in a Folder named A, all with B in a folder named B, and so on.
what if we want to move specific files that are in a list in excel? Is there a way to link the excel sheet so power automate can grab the file names from the spreadsheet?
I am looking for a way to automate SharePoint file submission to folders on a quarterly basis when there is a new file submission. eg if someone adds a new file between January-March, it should go to quarter 1 folder. if someone submits a file between April and June, it should go to quarter 2 folder in my sharepoint. please is this possible?
Hello I had followed your video to move files from one library to another using Power Automate but I'm facing an issue that is I'm getting an error saying " response not in json format" and the flow is getting failed but all the files are getting copied without any issue,
Hi Thanks for your commitment As you know, we can share documents in the library (sharepoint 2013) with a link. I have two sites (team site 1 and teas site 2). I want to move all document from site1 to site 2. The damage of this action is that the url I shared with people is not going to work anymore. Is there a solution that keeps the url at the moving? thanks in advance Davai
I am trying to do the exact same thing you are doing with the Copy File to another Library but I also want to apply the columns. For example, In your case the Status column, apply it to the new library Status Column also. Any idea how to accomplish that?
You've probably already figured this out and a year ago this may not have existed but now you can simply go in add a trigger look for SharePoint methods and you will see "Move folder" so this is now a non-issue.
@@MrRichyDude Yep... SharePoint method: "Move folder" I'm looking for info even in comments regarding Renaming SharePoint folders. You still have to do an HTTP Request to make that happen. I'm scouring Copy and Move videos hoping to find a brilliant solution for the Renaming since Microsoft hasn't decided to offer a direct method to accomplish such a simple and common need.

If you want exact replica use move to.
I already figured it out. Used copy but added update item based on ltemID from the copy.
@@RidingHard great
Thanks so much
this is COPY THE FILE not MOVE THE FILE two totally different things
did you find any instructions anywhere that does actually MOVE the item (instead of copying it)?
@@djstone5518 if you’re interested, I think I found something that did move them in the end

This tutorial is wrong. I want to move something and you’re showing how to copy something.
