I totally agree.
Do you know what I love about this man. You can tell how much everything means to him and how blessed he is. But I tell you what. This man's work ethic is on another level first in training last to leave. I wish him all the best of everything. He deserves it
he does
Because he's th son of his father😂
He took his kid to the church for dedication, man that’s on another level. So many ‘successful’ people think they don’t need God, am glad CR7 knows better.

Big shame his father couldn’t witness how great his son Cris became, and in my opinion the best ever.
:(
So true lol
dont think his father would realise considering he was always pissed out of his mind
Pele, Maradona, and Messi are and were better, but still respect for what he did and where he has bin true to achieve this.

After you watch this, you understand the mentality of the man. His Father was so important to him, and he died just when he was reaching stardom. That was perhaps the fuel he needed to go on and become even greater than he realised. My Father also passed away from alcohol related illness, so I now see why Ronaldo's health, work ethic and aim for perfectionism comes from. When a family member dies like that, quite early, it scares you into action, and you take your health a lot more seriously. Ronaldo is an inspiration as he is a product of hard work and insane mindset.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Kudos to you!! I wish you nothing but success
I think it hurts sons very much when they attain success in their careers after their fathers have died. They want to make their dads so proud.
Ronaldo was a very good son , even though his father was a drunkard , still he gave him the best treatment a father could have to cure him .. He is the best model as son , father , football player , brother , wife . I HONOR HIM & ADMIRE HIM GREATLY .. HE IS THE GOAT . ❤❤🎉🎉😊

Moral of the story: You cant have everything in your life and nothing its perfect. Ronaldo such a great human being. He miss alot his father :(
Sometimes some people are perfect. And they expect perfect things.
@@nayamun4378 no one is perfect in this world, no one
As a child of an alcoholic father I completely understand him, although we lived in the same house for 23 years until the day he died I never really knew my father either. Never had one meaningful conversation or loving moment that I remember, he was verbally abusive (and a little bit of a narcissist I believe) and undermine mine and my brothers self confidence forever.
It pains me to say this but even if I loved him and will love him forever, I don’t really miss him because without him my family’s quality of life got so much better and happier... it’s sad for someone to say this about their own father but I think people who have gone through something similar would understand what I mean.
Its totally fine and okay that you feel that way!
Respect for showing your real feelings.
Same thing here bro ...I totally agree with you coz my father even without drinking is a mess , just imagine what he does every night when he comes drunk at home .....My only dream now is to leave my house and stay away from him forever ...Hate to say it but it's the truth
Да верноо говариш я тоже через это плошла я вас панимаю мои Атец тоже много пил 43-года прожил её убила Пракляти водка .
Totally agree same here
I think it's only natural to be that way... Maybe it's a sad fact , but imagine how your life would have been if your father was still alive!
“That’s why Portugal can’t make the World Cup” what? They literally made every single World Cup for the last 20 years
Ikr!!
like, portugal is the best
Songggggggg
WTF😂
M.T. TV. What?
Cristiano’s dad made many sacrifices for him. He was a cleaner at Cristiano’s first football club, so he had enough income to provide for Cristiano. Cristiano was often bullied because of his father’s lowly job. Things like that stay in your heart and mind for a long time. His father would have been so proud to see him now.
This also teaches u, no one says this, but if u are a good example for u sons, they will surely know what is right n wrong, but if they feel in flesh what u are doing for them, be sure ur sons gonna be good people n surely treasure u as his father was for crgod.
If you want to get an autograph you don't start insulting the player 😂

His life is so sad, getting chased by idiots with cameras. Smh
Yeah i thought the same
Yeah..
everything comes at a price. Give and take is the rule of life
yep so sad. Thats just part of being a global superstar idiot.
Are you joking? His life is sad? He's a millionaire because his dad past away doesn't mean his life have to be sad or because of the people chased him with cameras that is part of life cause he is global superstar
Saddest thing about Ronaldo that I read in the book about him by Balague, was how Ronaldo's father gave away the iconic Cristiano jersey from his debut at United, from the match against Bolton, for a shot of vodka. And how 8- years - old Ronaldo, was often taking care of his drunk dad, taking him home from the local bar, so his completely drunk, veteran father would not lose his way home. Just imagine a little child going through all of this. His father had demons, and so has he. Generational trauma.
I read this exact same comment on the piers Morgan interview video
My god trade his historical jersey for vodka? well yeah i understand what kind of condition his father had that lead to those situasion but it must be very painful to him, that was like "dad look what your little boy had achieve" gift.
When you’re an addict and having cravings you’ll do anything for your drug of your choice and i mean anything. You’re trying to escape the suffering. I remember i sold my dads 2 jerseys that he left when he died but i kept one and i never sold that one. It’s really sad what addiction does to people.
@@KrishmanyuThakur Yeah the comment got copied under multiple videos about Ronaldo.
Yes every Portuguese household holds this trauma
I’m a Barca, but damn it’s tragic that his dad died right before his career took off. I wish he would’ve at least seen him win in 2008, that fact the didn’t get to witness his full potential doesn’t sit well with me. But I’m sure his dad is smiling somewhere ❤️
shaunbir klair he got to witness him starting to become a young promising star. But unfortunately he didn’t get to see him become even more than a super star. He undoubtedly is one of the all time greats. If not the best player of all time
Like imagine watching your son score amazing goals and live in a beautiful house.
Lucas Ruan Heindrickson inform yourself before writing ...he plays since 11 for sporting lisbon where he starts his professional career at 17...makin less than in manchester but already wth a salary very few could ever dream PS by the way, i was at the stadium in its first pro match
I think his father suffered from war's PTSD.. my father felt the same too
Forshore Portugal in war and the ex colonis do metods very violents like heads in the trees.too many traumatic events. Sorry for my english
Yeah Portugal had a rough period in the 70’s 80’s and 90’s cuz that’s when they lost their colonies in Africa. The people who had to go to war there had really traumatic experiences. Ronaldos brother was also a drug addict and Ronaldo saved his life by winning the champions league in 08
Are you talking about america then?
It called universal karma
PTSD stands for???
I had never seen this content, thanks a lot. Despite all his disadvantages in life, Cristiano Ronaldo became the best son any father would love to have. 😃👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

My husband lived with an alcoholic father. To this day my husband doesn't drink alcohol because he says he doesn't want to be a bad example to our kids. Also recalls how his father would hit his mother and they would fight a lot. Living like this was a nightmare, it's hard and sad for those children that go through this. Thankfully Ronaldo is a different father with his Son.

Life is so complex. Sometimes heavenly sometimes heartbreaking. To keep pushing forward is no easy task. Cr7 inspirational life
Huge respect for Cristiano’s mindset and his own set of rules to live his life to fullest..🙏🏻🙏🏻
Cristiano's father was drafted into the army as a very young man and sent to an absolutely suicidal, terrible war in Angola, where these soldiers saw, did, and suffered terrible things. A friend of Cristiano's father, from the army, who still lives in Madeira, spoke about it once in-depth, to the media, I remember reading the article. I can't even repeat it here. It would mess up anyone's psyche, so it's no wonder that Cristiano's father came back from the war with PTSD and started drinking. I personally saw such veterans - they are the living dead. In her biography, Ronaldo's mother said that ''Cristiano's father's only ambition was to drink himself to death.'' - actual quote.
And unfortunately, he managed to do it when his kidneys did not last. Jose died in 2005. Cristiano was already starting to be a big star in 2005, he tried to save his dad, transferred him to one of the best hospitals in London, but his father died anyway. It was reportedly a terrible shock for Cristiano, and he received the news of his father's death at the training camp of the Portuguese national team, from the then-coach Luis Felippe Scolari. Also, Cristiano's mother worked very hard throughout her entire life, including going to France as a cleaner to support the children, because the father was unable to function normally.
It's incredibly tragic. Despite all that Ronaldo's father believed in His son. Even though he himself was completely lost. It's so sad.😢
And today cristiano help himself and his family

I think his dad dying is why he is so great.
It's like he's trying to prove to his father every game how great he is hoping his father will see it from above.
I think that's his motivation, frustration and anger that the person he wanted to impress the most, can't see what he has become
Alot of people would use it as an excuse to be a loser.
"I came from poor family of alcoholics and thats why I cant make it".
Ronaldo turned negative into positive. Very inspirational.
True champion should give example. Even in the toughest of time.

His father's story is a sad one. I admire Cristiano for not turning out like his father. Cristiano could have let his environment take him down a completely different path, but he didn't.
After this video changed everything what i think about Ronaldo love you -men!
Christiano ronaldo's son will look like christiano's father when he gets older
@Adriana Giuro-Wallahmm correct.
which son because Cris jr doesn't even look like Cristiano himself.
@John Wright There is also mutation.

Nope ..Mateo ronaldo has more resemblence to Him
because of that, I think he will become an awesome dad to his own children. His kids definitely are gonna be the luckiest kids in the world.

At least Cristiano's father was there, although obviously sick from addiction. Thousands of fathers leave their kids when a new 'opportunity' presents itself and only later realize that they missed out on the best thing that life has to offer, a family! Cristiano is right, family is everything!!
Christiano is such a caring father and earned his success through hard work. I don’t understand at all why anyone would hate him, but I love how he doesn’t care😎🤟🏼
Where ever you go cr7,you will be loved and adored because you are a example of success you have worked hard but I also think you were selected by the big fella looking down, your father would of been proud, carry on breaking records you are a legend🙂
As tragic as his father death was. Ronaldo life story is beyond amazing. You could make a superhero movie of his life. Reminds me of Bruce Wayne
if you don't have 'family', life will become very very tough
Exactly dude
My only thought is, how did they get so much footage of him playing as a kid and his dad’s reactions and watching his son play. There were some good cameras to track Ronaldo as a kid playing but it’s not like they thought “he’ll be huge one day, we need coverage” I’m curious to know who decided to film him from a kid to the start of his career.
The academy that he was playing when he was young recorded important matches not just his match. This is necessary for review, study, and complaint purposes. All footballers like Messie Neymar have footage of when they were very young. Actually, all footballers had many footages, interviews with their families, background, and all since they were young. Maybe Media believe one of them will be successful one day.
This amazing player didn’t have a good father but nevertheless he became the good father .
Well if you don't learn by other peoples mistakes you will never learn.
He is a very loving father!!
I love Christiano to bits ❤️❤️❤️ I’ve seen him grow up into the player and man he is today and the story of his father’s alcoholism really hits hard the fact he’s never got over that and every time he talks about it he still gets upset to this day it’s utterly heartbreaking 💔 but I just hope his father is watching him from upstairs because he must be so proud ❤️❤️❤️

What I admire about him is his determination. I wish I could emulate that. Glory and money apart- it requires an extremely disciplined mind to be surrounded by all the wealth and best things and still work like hell and eat a restricted diet and not drink. That is a guy who lives for his work
First Let's be honest that he never forgot his past inspite of his fame, there is nothing to feel bad about his father, who knows what was his actual problems were, he was a war veteran. But without him and his encouragement cristina Ronaldo wouldn't be what he is is today in spite of Ronaldo hard work and good ethics. And of course his mother too. God bless him and his family. 👍

American next gen really feel entitled. I guess they feel they made the celebrities and hence they owe them. Cud be true when Kim Karadashian is their celebrity :) But ronaldo owes nothing to anyone except prob Sir Alex

poor cr7 losing his beloved dad it crushed him no wonder he is so driven you are a fantastic father to your 4 kids
I can tell you my childhood friend father also went in to the Angola war before I used to go to their house and he was a good father but after he came back he was never the same he also started to drink heavy people don't become drunk for no reason in most cases.
He my friend heard story from his father used to tell his mom when he was drunk what they did in Angola it was terrifying to say the least.
Some background the war started because Angolan workers wanted an end to forced labor and inhumane conditions. The Portuguese army killed over 100 thousand people, rapped, looted and bombed over 17 towns in Angola. The sad part Angola colonial war impact its still being felt till this day and I truly hope things get better for them easier said then done but just sharing my open views.
It’s doesn’t matter who this is, it matter that it’s a person story of great loss. To see his mother cry like that so many years later, that’s heart break and soul destroying. I hope his mum finds some peace. Seems like a loving lady.
Chirstiano's father, it hurts to see him like this there is pain n sorrow on his face. But he predicted his son's future even before his son accomplished his dream. Sad he never lived to see it. There always remains a void in one's life. Even though Ronaldo 7 has become d world's greatest football player he still missing his father. God bless u legend.
All the money and fame in the world cannot what this man is missing from his life...his fathers love and approval. He must try and believe that his father sees him from beyond and is proud of him.

My father is still alive but i could never have a conversation with him when i was younger he had his own demons to overcome...and one of them was alcoholism....... I went away to do my own life.........and when i came back to see him.....it felt the same no emotional attachment. I know he is my father and i love him the most but just that part of my childhood and my adolescence.....was missing. i don't resent my father at all.....don't get me wrong i just understand that that's how life is and i still love him now he doesn't drink because he has a tough wife that keeps him in check....

Jose Dinis Aveiro came back to Madeira with PTSD and started drinking. His alcoholism, became one of the main driving forces behind Cristiano's ambition and mentality to reach the pinnacle of football. In some way, you could say that without the Portugal- Angola war, there would be no Cristiano Ronaldo. Funny how life works, right?
