When I'm ready to go for the SW Companion Pass, I'll be adding the SW Performance Business and SW Priority within a month or so of each other, holding off till January of the next year to complete both bonuses, and then have Companion Pass for basically 2 full years thanks to 2 card bonuses! The problem with Emirates, from my experience, is the taxes. I wanted to book a first class one way trip from Dubai to JFK, but had to put up over 100K miles for the ticket (which is fine) but an additional $1,600 in taxes!!! That's ridiculous. Am I doing it wrong? How do you avoid these tax charges? It basically made it impossible for me to book Emirates. Then I looked at Singapore Airlines and they have a "waitlist" for points availability through 2024. I have the miles, but it's proven impossible to actually redeem them for first class flights 😕
Can’t someone get both the business card and the personal, slide all points to one of the accounts, assuming the same owner for both cards? Or that not a way to go?
Rocket mortgage has something close. You can apply your points earned to your mortgage balance as long as it’s with rocket mortgage. If your mortgage is in your spouses name with built, you can sign a lease with them, the. Pay that lease with your built card…then use that check to pay the mortgage.
I have the United Economy Plus Subscription. Any way to use the points from Emirates to book United flights and still qualify for using the subscription?

I think Southwest Companion pass is one of the most underrated perks in the travel game. I would jump on the new bonuses in a heartbeat!
