Poor gen Zers will find out that Amex Platinum card will not be accepted at 90+% of restaurants in Europe, South America, Africa and Asia. Don't forget your Visa and Mastercard kiddies.
You are right and wrong. Yes, it's not accepted in 90% of those places. But it's accepted at 90% of the restaurants in places in those continents where Americans visit. Americans are going to highly urban tourism areas. They are designed with Americans in mind and the way we shop. So they will be alright.
@@TheSonyExperience I lived in Spain for three years. I traveled all over France, Switzerland, Italy as recently as 2 months ago. AMEX was barely accepted anywhere. I used my Chase Sapphire reserve for everything. Side note, we ate at very nice restaurants. You would think they would accept it.
Facts. I had CC fraud on my accounts and AMEX was the only one who refunded me in a couple days no questions asked. The other CC I had to keep calling different departments and gave me a ring around of them not refunding my fraud charges which I now don’t do business with. Reason why I will do business with AMEX: they got my back period.
The artistic choice to make the Sopranos be involved in waste management, was not made in a vacuum. It is a stereotype based on a history of organized criminal ownership of waste management companies.
All the freely available information about credit cards doesn’t really help when people can’t follow the two principles of responsible credit card use: 1. Don’t spend money you don’t have & go into debt. 2. Pay your balance off in full every month. Never carry a balance.
Gen X here. I'm well past the point of caring which cards I or someone else carries. If it provides value, I'll get it. For me, personally, I'm not a fan of the Amex coupon book credits. I ain't got time for dat.
the points return on Amex is superior compared to all the other credit cards. I've only been flying business class to Taiwan, Bali, Japan etc from the points I get from my Amex
Do you get flyer miles/points when you are only using your points? Or does points not count when using them to fly? It’s just based on credit card spend right?
From a gen zer came for the massive signup bonuses and stayed because the customer service is top tier, travel benefits, and several of the credits are really useful (especially the gold i might get a second)
Gen z here, even though I don’t feel like one. Not a huge fan of Amex and their coupon book. I have the BCE since it’s got no annual fee, but my main cards are from C1 with the VX and Savor. Better value over there. Amex customer service is better though, so hopefully Amex cards become better, meaning easier to get value from.
That C1 combo is so useful. I added the V and Savor1 as I already have the Amex Platinum. Even with the 10x on Uber/Eats which I used often for carry out, I was still getting more value with my Platinum card. Amex Offers and Rakuten each get me 10K points/yr, definitely worth looking into, it’s easy to use to maximize your daily spending.
Gen Z qualifies for credit cards, Also millennials were also terrible with credit. Working in retail and running people's credit 9/10 millennials we run don't pass and it hasn't gotten better.
"75% of new card signups came from Millennials and Gen Z." So most of their new accounts come from people age 22 to 44? Seems like a stat that would apply to just about any credit card, certainly ones with significant annual fees like the Gold and Platinum.
Sorta, you have to look at the historical context that it used to be the 45+ folks that got Amex cards. Back when Amex was actually harder to get for lower income individuals. Nowadays, with an ok credit score dang near anyone can get a Gold or Plat.
AE card to look cool with millions of coupons so you can feel that you get your money's worth. In order to make back the annual fee, you probably need to spend 3x to 10 x the annual fee.
People with extravagant spending habits dont mind the high fees or poor value of Amex cards but when they lose their jobs they wont have savings to pay their bills and Amex will learn they shouid have focused on fiscally responsible customers.
Let’s see how they react to a 1095 AF. That extra digit scares a lot of people. I also agree. FHR is by far a top benefit and they also forget Global Entry of which I doubt Gen Z ever know about.
long time amex shareholder and card holder. i love gen z. theyre making me wealthy and i get a mountain of points for bc/fc flights every year. thanks dummies!
BOTTOM LINE- Does your the amount you spend cover the benefits of the card? If you are FORCED to spend money to get the card's value, then the card is probably not worth it.
Simple, Genz believes they have clout for having an AMEX. They have an obsession with fux luxury. They are to ignorant to understand no one cares what kind of credit card you have

In Italy I would say 60% restaurants accepted Amex. Even in none tourist areas. I was surprised
On the other end of the spectrum, Santa Cruz beach boardwalk does not accept Amex. I was surprised, and glad I normally carry other cards.
We all have multiple cards
I like Amex mostly because of customer service. I’ve disputed BS charges with Amex vs Chase and cap 1 and Amex outshines them by a mile.
What do you mean BS charges? Never got into Amex but the thought of disputing something dumb from a vendor is appealing

Same. I thought this was common knowledge, and the reason why everyone only uses AMEX for big purchases.
The “waste management” joke was a reference to Tony Soprano. It had nothing to do with the waste management industry.

bro its a "waist management" u see that guys fat??? meaning he was riched and swiped the card so many times

As a Gen Z'er I love my Blue cash Everyday cards, probably my most used card.
Same. The 3% cash back on gas and online purchases is awesome. I use the gold for restaurants and groceries.

thats another thing nice about amex, you have to pay off the entire balance every month

ThYs true with every generation in that age bracket. Most folks don't take personal finances seriously until late 20s or early 30s.

They use Amex to buy Adderall marijuana, vape juice and pay for beard oil
Ah, Ben is on vacation. That must be how the scam bots invaded his previous two videos. He's usually good about deleting them.
question is... how much $$$ they actually spend on those Amex cards (outside using "credits")?
