With all the new characters introduced in Phase 4 and 5 I gotta say Agatha is becoming a top 3 character for me within both phases. Who would’ve guessed 😭
I much preferred this to last episode. The 40’s Hollywood vibe suits this show’s pacing as well as these specific characters SO well. It feels like they took the fullest advantage of the set up and how to make it all work for strengths and weaknesses the show has always had.
Ngl I enjoyed this episode more than the first one imo and cosmic Agatha was beautiful 😍 also liked that like season 1 episode 2 it also leaves on a cliffhanger
The main thing that made the dance sequence so uncanny was the lack of any differentiation between the dancers. Having everybody in perfect sync will always look fake and trigger something in our brain that what we are seeing is wrong. Still, it's only a minor complaint and the only thing that bugged me at all about this episode. It was a lot of fun!
Definitely a vibe for me. I did that thing like when I was a kid when I get excited I stand in front of the tv - which is just a little weird when the screen is 50"+.
My biggest complaint (other than the dancing being sped up and the animations copied and pasted for every background dancer), is that the Eternals didn't know about Tiamut or the Emergence until after the Blip. So this story somehow hinges on not only the Eternals having known all along what Arishem wanted of them, but ALSO for them to just go along with it, which as we saw in Eternals was NOT something they would do. Edit: BUT, not to spoil any specifics, Howard being in Hollywood was taken straight from the ABC Studios Marvel Television era, which has yet to be officially canonized.
Pretty much every What If episode has differences from the main universe other than the one indicated by the title. I wish that wasn't the case, since it's not really a "what if scenario" at that point.
@thechimpmaster That is true, but it's usually something that can be answered through intuition, whereas this is... Completely different and inconsistent with the characters themselves.
@@DarthTingleBinks Keep in mind, Kingo knew who Agatha was and what she was up to. It's possible her interference with the other Eternals (before she kidnapped them) led to them learning the entire story early.
Actually Kingo says he’s the Prime Eternal- Agatha taking out the others led to him being the Prime one. The Prime is informed of the Emergence as we saw Sersi find out when becoming the Prime.
Eternals not being able to die due to her taking their powers because space robots makes me think she attacked one one day and learned their secret and hunted the rest
Just a quick question... in the first episode do you think the faces and lips being animated poorly was a tribute to the bad dubbing of anime? I haven't seen it yet so I don't know what you're talking about, but it occurred to me that that might be the case.
I briefly rankled when Kingo said “Bollywood” to refer to Mumbai, because that term didn’t come about until the ’70s. (I suppose we can retcon and say he coined the term in this reality.) I understand why they did it, though. Not only is it the better-known term (for contemporary viewers); but also the era-appropriate name would’ve been “Bombay”, and having Kumail Nanjiani use that term might carry some implications that Desi audiences don’t need to deal with for the sake of a silly cartoon.
Is there only one Arishem in the multiverse or does he have variants too? I mean if there's only one of him, then that's it, he's gone. Unless he has variants?
@@yudhazacharias9377 Oh yeah he's still out there you can tell usually if someone is multiversal level once they see the watcher and the celestials couldn't Agatha could maybe if she absorbs them all

This episode really gave me a great and powerful smile across my face once I’ve seen the monologue about being inspired by the movies great clip really made me happy🥹 15:56
Arishem’s annoyed grumbling at being so inconvenienced still sends me screaming everytime 😭
he's a whole mood
Kathryn Hahn has done a decent amount of actual voice acting over the years. Remember, she was Doc Ock in Into the Spider-Verse
SHE WAS!?
@@transyuri4534 Yep. That's where I first discovered her. (I'm still waiting for that Dr. Olivia Octavius backstory spin-off...)
Howard being a movie director and even the flamingo on set are all references to Agent Carter and I love it
I love that they got James D'Arcy and Dominic Cooper to come back and voice their respective roles too.
@ragtimeraver yeah I noticed them immediately, wish that show at least got a third season
wish they showed that same respect to agents of shield
Closest thing to an Eternals 2, and that really sold the episode for me. Hope the cliffhanger pays off 😂
It will, probably in that episode with the emergence destroying the earth
Coy from Reel Rejects is rejoicing right now. Eternals 2 baby! Featuring Agatha freaking Harkness
@@Jim_The_Fish Yay! 😊
Despite the story not being the best, I found myself smiling and giggling the whole time during this episode. This is why I love What If!
Agatha was serving so hard, mother fr😍💜
17:05 I really hope Marvel could make that into a real poster that I could put on my wall, because I love it! 😁
Saaaaammmmmeeeeee
I can't believe this episode alone gave Agatha a real redemption arc.
Neither can I!
Celestial Agatha's design is... *kiss* gorgeous! I want that movie poster, and I don't even have a place to put it on my walls 😅

12:49 it's like she became a Celestial Goddess of Cosmic energy
That’s exactly what she had become.
12:58 Agatha Harkness, a TRUE Cosmic Queen!

This episode was incredible, to me. The perfect pacing and character writing for this format
I’m so happy I’m not the only one who thought that the dance scene was trippy
Yaaass!! This one was great!! They CAN tell good stories!!
So so good to have my boy Jarvis back 😂
Always love watching your breakdown and analysis after the reaction. Episode is very fun and enjoyable.
Howard Stark, MCU version, is loosely based on Howard Hughes and Hughes was both an inventor and a movie maker.
Very cool
agatha is carrying the whole mcu on her back stp
This one was so spicy 😂 and your reaction at the end was hilarious I wonder how they’ll follow up with it.
I am reminded, tangentially, of the book Moving Pictures by Terry Pratchett.
truly a Great episode and the closest thing we're getting to Eternals 2 and Agatha sure was the shining star all through out the episode
13:53 Ooo, Asura's Wrath! I caught that reference. Not enough people played that. I am thankful it's Backward Compatible on Xbox or it would be lost.
Talk no jutsu never fails 😂. This was a really fun episode. It’s nice to see something tied to Eternals.

I was NOT expecting to see my boy Bernard Stark (it was a quick cameo but a lovely nod to the Agent Carter series)🦩
1930's Hollywood Vs. Bollywood.
Dance off bro! Me and You
I would love to see that movie, even just a piece of it.
I enjoyed this one more than the first one.
3:05 Nice one 😊👍
Damn, Eson looked PISSED at the end of that cliffhanger
That Dance number wiped my mind too.
Honestly, Arishems rambling sounded like one of those damn death troopers from rouge one 😂
I cannot believe you said Superman thank you very much for confirming that😊
This was a really good episode and Amy here look really beautiful in this😊
I really don't like how what if turns Howard Stark into a Daffy Duck style lunatic
This episode is a whole lot of fun if I'm being honest! 😁😁😁
I fricking love this episode 😂
I bet you someone's gonna time Kingo's dance to the Shikanoko nokonoko koshitantan song and make it fit really well together, really soon.

Celestials are not singularities, when the multiverse was created several versions of them were also created.
