If you would have taken straight from the bridge after Kaza, you would have found the ‘Chicham Bridge’, which is Aisa’s (if not world’s) highest bridge.

I think I’ve heard of this. Hopefully on the next one we might take it in.

Great Vid Simon. I did the same trip in July this year. We had awful weather and were massively diverted away from the Spiti Valley . I uploaded daily accounts to TH-cam but no commentary.

Thanks Stuart, yes one of the guys on our WhatsApp had notice you took a different route. It’s certainly a challenge on the best of days. I guess it makes it more of an adventure. It’s was totally different for us. Realy dry and hot. The unpredictability of the Himalayan weather..

@@thatbikersimon could we have a conversation about your helmet Gopro set up and the helmet Mic?

@@thatbikersimon My issue with taking the GoPro was battery life. I had a power pack in my poachers pocket with a connecting lead secured at the neck line of my jacket. I had a power lead secured from the rear of my helmet which connected to the camera mounted on the chin piece. This allowed me to power the camera without worrying about the battery running out and it was easy enough to disconnect the leads to allow me to take my helmet off easily. I wanted to use voice commands to control the Camera and so rigged up a helmet mic which connected to the camera media mod. All worked well until I crashed on a mountain road and and destroyed the mic connection. I also pulled the camera mount off the helmet! I had to resort to using the Remote from then on which I mounted on the Handlebar, but no commentary. I just wondered how you set yours up? What mic do you use and how do you control the camera to start and stop recording. Also, how did you get on with the battery life?
      Cheers.

@@stuartbrewer6465 Hi Stuart, in a nut shell I keep it simple. I only try and record as and when, I find if the GoPro is runjng for long periods it will over heat (with the mod on) and you’ll probably lose audio or fotage, so I switch both cameras on at the same time and just shoot what I need to (whiles on the fly) I just use the buttons on both cameras to record. I’ve got the enduro batteries and carry 6 spares, 3 each camera. I tend to swap them out when I can. Genuinely at the tea stops. I’ve got a rode mic into the media mod, and always tested before a set off through the app on my phone. I always carry a spare mount that clips on incase of a crash out. Hopes this helps matey.
