KICKSTARTER FOR A SERIES OF SHORTS!!!
I did an animated fan short with Wes meeting a deerclops.
I've noticed that the moments when the game shines come as follow:
1. When you have to take care of both immediate and long-term survival and sometimes balance between them.
2. When the problem isn't that much "Can I defeat this mob?" as it is "Is it worth to defeat this mob?".
3. When you have to change your survival strategies depending on time and location.
4. When every item and resource comes in handy and is worth making (sometimes there is a problem with that) at least in some point of a game.
5. When death doesn't come from a single bad decision but rather from a series of bad decisions and missed opportunities that will add up.
If I see a mob for the first time, whether I'm prepared to fight it or not, I'm always going in like '...YOLO!!!' Then I die.

@@Marshadow01 Yeah. Just today, I stumbled across the Fountain of Youth in Don't Starve Hamlet. I knew that there was a monster there, that pugalisk thing, I was totally unprepared because I had been picked up by the BFB and tried making my way back to the main island and somehow, I ended up on the Fountain of Youth island. I still went a head and triggered it anyways because I wanted to see it.
Number 5 is both amazing and terrible. The realization you would of survived if you had just not deviated from a plan, or if you had not dropped a specific item. Looking back at the long list of mistakes you made, and knowing that if you had avoided just a single one you could've prevented death.
@@handsupgimmeallyourcash7475 I agree that number 5 is by far the one that matters the most; it's what makes Don't Starve so feel so fun even when you die. Nothing ever feels all that unfair or punishing because little mistakes only matter when there's a lot of them at once.
They should make an animated movie out of this. I love the animation.

I've always really loved the art style, visual theme and animations in Don't Starve. It could really become something great.
Heck..I think even if they kept the visual theme and used real actors for the characters it could be sold. It would look somewhat in the style of Sweeney todd or somewhere in that time period (early 1800's.)

All the wallpapers you could make from this trailer. The artstyle is still one of the best parts of the game. Dont know if I will buy the DLC though. I suck at this game even if I love it. Those Giants would kick my ass.
Just buy it, it adds so much for a little price! And the giants aren't that much of a problem ;)

It's less than $5 and honestly worth the price compared to other things people sell at that price.
If the giants are too much of a problem for you, you can just custom your world so they won't ever appear. And even after buying the dlc, you can decide to play with it or to play the game just as it was before.
Camp within convenience distance of a swamp. Lure the giants in to get horribly murdered by tentacles.
Step 3: profit!
The key to winning at this game is to avoid direct confrontation as much as you can. Don't work harder, work smarter.
Not that its bad.
But this game is now Don't Freaking Die instead of Don't Starve. :P

I remember watching this trailer a few years back and thought it was so damn cool, and I still feel the same way now! The music and the animations are giving me goosebumps, it's so good! Just bought the Switch Edition and can't wait to meet these guys (and probably die)

This expansion is what Don't Starve really needed. The base game was starting to get too easy, and without difficulty the game gets boring. The expansion makes the game very difficult at first, and still difficult once you've run through it a few times. Thanks Klei! I hope to see another expansion in the future!

I love your animation style and I'm interested to see if you'd have either voice actors or instruments for the characters. You could start at an episode about the multiplayer function that's coming up! You said you didn't want it to be multiplayer and now we have Don't Starve together coming!
You should see the fan base waiting for the marvels that is your animations! I'm looking forward to your animation for the Don't Starve Together update and fan-girl all over the animations you already have. И игра была нацелена на выживание, а не убийство 1 миллиона боссов со скучным выживанием и подготовкой к ним. Благо это касается только ДСТ. ДС всё ещё прекрасен, хоть и беден контентом и длс немного храмают
