From what I have heard, both Boss Bottled Intense and JPG Ultramale require high concentrations of vanilla, an ingredient that becomes increasingly more expensive these days so maybe that's also a reason they're being discontinued.

For ultramale there is an alternative, it's called afnan 9 pm. It is 99 percent similar to ultramale but with even better performance due to it being a middle eastern scent and they like it strong over there in the middle east

I would go early in the morning and get one bottle of every cologne they had. I would do this once a week. But thanks to corona, they shut it all down.
Afnan has a cologne called 9PM that a number of people have reviewed on TH-cam who say it is a clone of Ultra Male. I have it and it's very nice but I can't say it's a clone because I've never had Ultra Male.
The best ultra male alternative is AFAN 9PM. Smells the same and it’s BEAST MODE. Trust me and you will thank me later. Plus isn’t only $30 can’t beat that. Side by side you can’t tell to much of a difference
The entire Vert line for Tom Ford has also been axed. I was able to pick up Vert De Encens and Plum Japonais back in June at Nordstrom. Seems that Plum Japonais dried up pretty quickly at both retail and discounters.
We were told by a SA at Sephora two years ago that they tossed 250ml flacons of the Tom Ford Vert series from 2016 in the trash!?? I ordered a big flacon of Vert d'Encens soon after. Most of the great TF classics are disappearing far too quickly leaving behind the tacky, lurid garbage that they deem worthy of 2021. Just found a 50ml of Oud Wood Intense but won't hold my breath for Tobacco Oud/Intense anytime soon.

Many people feel out with boss for reformulated boss bottled to death, the scent and boss bottle intense tried and did not like. Ultra male to sweet. People will try but will not buy again. Again reformulated Original le male big mistake.
Ultra Male won't be discountinued, however according to JPG the distributions will be limited which only means they reduce the amount of licensed sellers, which can be different in every country. I still bought two bottles of 125ml Ultra Male in the Black Friday Week from our perfumery, I will however order one or two more just so I don't have to look for a bottle frequently it is one of my three favorite parfums.

It’s like the original version of Dior Homme still being available in Europe. The North America tends to get screwed a lot it seems.

Do you have the EDP? I find its really strong. Btw Hugo Boss sprayers are terrible so it's a problem of under spraying, not performance. 8 sprays of a Hugo boss bottled sprayer is the same amount of juice as 4 sprays from your average fragrance bottles

Gourmand Leather by Zara is a good Ultramale alternative, smells very similar, performance is good on me too
