Right on Gary! Yeah that's the challenges of customizing a car a lot of times the off-the-shelf items don't necessarily work out. But you know as well as I do Gary that's the fun part is building it yourself. Thanks for watching.
Well thanks for stopping in I appreciate it. Yeah I've had that for a while and been wanting to use it. Yep it's very rewarding to be able to repurpose and use things that were never car parts.
This just helped me visualize how the choke is supposed to be hooked up on my lawn tractor. Lol. It was so simple I was overthinking it and your gas pedal set up made me able to visualize how it's supposed to be.
Thanks! Yeah I took that out of the air handler at work. we were changing out some bearings and a new pulley. And as soon as I saw it I thought it looked so much like a steering wheel. So I heated it up, put it in a press and then I mild out the center and added a spline. 👍
Vino I didn't know you are a master carpenter too! I'm glad you didn't get shafted by that shaft with the shaft collars on it. I like the look of the pedal! Bye Now!
Well I very well could have 😂 I'm so glad that I used that box to do most of the figurine, cuz I still had to be a contortionist to get in there to put it together.
Great Video Robert! I like how you mocked the Floor Well up to Rig up your Throttle, saved a lot of Back Ache! Wasn't sure why I didn't get notified for your video till the evening, I checked my notifications seems someone (YT) changed it to personal on your video's I put it back to all!!
Yeah Jason hard to tell how that happens. That's for sure Jason It was a lot easier building it with the mockup, And that last crossmember took me a while because of the tight quarters of laying down and looking up and trying to get it secured I felt like a contortionist.
G’day Rob, that pedal has turned out amazing. I know I’ve commented on the steering wheel before, I just love it. And the thought behind having it at 45° so you can see the instruments, great👍. Sorry, it’s been a while. As you know I’ve been gallivanting your countryside. Time to get myself updated with what I’ve missed back home.
Hi Robert, you are an outstanding engineer my friend. This car is so well thought out, and the parts are so well done this will be a definitely be a A#1 hot rod. That pedal area is so tight in these cars, it take a lot of thinking. Such a unique build. I bet we see you on the cover of one of the bigtime hotrod magazines. So awesome brother!!!
Yeah the story on that single groove pulley that I turned into a steering wheel, It was in an air handler that we were replacing the pulley. So yeah when I opened up the door to the blower assembly, It looked so much like a old steering wheel I couldn't resist. 😁
Yeah it really helped putting most of it together with that cabinet, but I still had to do a little bit of contortionist to get in there and get it welded.
Funny.....I have a hard time focusing too.......too many things in front of me...beside me....and not enough behind me. ( Looks great! That Philips head bolt looks suspect in such a cool (cooly) fabricated pedal assemble )
Robert, I love your ingenuity making things that aren't meant to be car parts looking they were designed like it
Thanks Al that's awesome I appreciate it.
Good one. Very thorough. I too like the use of hot glue at mockup. Adding go fast holes is allways nice.
Thanks! 😁 Yeah you know the gofast holes are always needed.😂
That steering wheel is super cool and unique! And I can’t get over how awesome that pedal is!
Right on I appreciate it.👍
A unique design pedal ,love your creation😍
Yep it's looking awesome! Thanks my friend. 👍
Looking good Robert! There’s a lot going on with the gas pedal… a lot to think about! Thanks for sharing!🤙🏽
Thanks Matt. 😊

Right on spanky ! Yep this gas pedal project turned out pretty good.
Vino!! Getting one step closer all the time. Awesome video my brother
Yeah getting closer, thanks 615.
Nice work. I've been thinking about re-doing my gas pedal set up in my '40, this video has given me some good ideas, thanks!

That turned out great! I LOVE the sewing machine pedal idea! Its perfect!
Well thanks for stopping in I appreciate it. Yeah I've had that for a while and been wanting to use it. Yep it's very rewarding to be able to repurpose and use things that were never car parts.
Cars coming along nicely carpentry as good as metal work keep up the good work and videos
Right on Patrick!!! Oh yeah Patrick having that box to do most of my fabricating made up a big difference in doing this job.

Thanks Brian. Time to clean up the welding slag and smoke, and get some paint on it.
Another outstanding use for a pedal!💯💯💯🫵☝️✌️
Yep it will work out great.

Yeah Rob I like the wheel. I put a little bit of a dish into it when I put it into the hydraulic press. Glad you had a good time traveling. 👍
Hey Vino. Happy Easter. I'm behind in my video viewing again, but here I am. That sure is a cool pedal that you have. Nice job. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍

Thanks Brian. Yeah that's a kool part about this car.
great job mate, linkage can be fun
Hello! Yeah it turned out nicely.
Nice work. I have a drum pedal in my garage and have seen those used as gas pedals, but never one from a sewing machine 👍
That's Kool I love it. Yeah I was visiting a guy at an Auto upholstery shop And he gave it to me. Yeah drum pedal is kool too.
Robert it looks like you've got everything engineered just right.
Yeah it really helped putting most of it together with that cabinet, but I still had to do a little bit of contortionist to get in there and get it welded.
I can tell your having as much fun and satisfaction as I do when I'm faben on my projects...enjoyed the video....thanks for sharing
