Let's go to the Dollar Tree to make Easter Baskets for under $20!

- I absolutely LOVE the Dollar Tree so I wanted to take you guys along shopping with me for my kid's Easter baskets. I took it a step further and personalized each of the baskets to what my kids like using DOLLAR TREE VINYL! So definitely stay to watch and see how they turned out!

DIY Tip: you can use a strip of a lint roller to use as transfer paper for small projects like that. It works really well and super affordable 😊

Children are so so smart !!! My three year old gets it. since she was born I’ve taught her The way. The other day I pointed to a sticker and I read it to her I said it says Jesus and she replied “and the Holy Spirit” I was in awe and so grateful. Teach them as if they know and they will !

Loved this idea! I don’t do Easter baskets for my kiddos but I just might have to grab a few of things you showed from the dollar tree for them. I love the cookie cutter addition. I do get them chocolate crosses instead of bunnies at Easter time. Amen! He is risen! ✝️

Make sure you use the correct transfer tape. The one you used look like the strong bond. There is another one with light lines that is a light stick to easily transfer images. Hope this helps.

The Easter baskets looks beautiful glory! you are so creative!😍 one tip I can give you for removing the material off of your grid, is to place the grid with the design face down and pull the grid away from the design so that the design won’t curl up. I am a beginner too, so we’re learning this together🫶🏾😅
Thanks for the tips! I also learned that there are certain transfer tapes that have lighter stickiness, I think I had a super strong one 🙈

I usually weed my stuff on the mat and then flip the mat over to pull the vinyl off.

When my 2 oldest kids were born, I got them baskets that we reused every year for about 20+ or so years. They finally started to break. My 2 youngest I'm also doing laundry baskets and fill with all the same stuff This year I got them cheap laundry baskets and fill it with body wash and shampoo and stuff like that

Yeah I definitely couldnt put items into a bag instead of a basket. I live in the South where you get followed and it would make me nervous if they thought I was stealing.
Oh no! I understand though that it could look a certain type of way. I have done it for a while and no one has said anything to me but probably because it’s a reusable shopping bag!
Here in belgium i have almost the same store with the same concept
now that they have more pricier options i find it a one stop shop place. foe her birthday, i got my daughter the burger and fries plush and fluffy pillow that shes been wanting (from other stores) for $5 each.
Oh wow that’s great! For some reason, my dollar tree hasn’t added the pricier options yet but I’ve seen it all over other videos for $5 and $10
Hi Glory, when you layer parchment paper helps so you can stick the smallest amount on .....so repositioning is easier. Cute baskets!! What is plugged into the laptop and connected to the cricut? I have plugged my cricut directly into the usb on my laptop and it won't work.... I end up using the app on my phone after I create something. If it peels back the cut parts(small pieces) try wiping the blade or poking it into a little balled up aluminum foil....it helps to get any adhesive from the vinyl off...you kinda stab the aluminum foil ball.
Thank you for all of these tips! You sound like a cricut pro😛 so it’s super sped up but I did use the parchment paper but the hold on the transfer paper was just too strong so it didn’t help. But thank you for the tip on the aluminum foil. I have seen that before but completely forgot about that one. Thanks!!

There are some scraper things to help get the vinyl off of the transfer tape into the surface.
I wonder if it would have worked! The dollar tree vinyl was very thing material haha
