- In this estate sale video we shop a secluded 1868 Stone Cottage on a treed 5 acre lot in remote Earlham, Iowa. The owners had so many awesome antique pieces that they had collected over the years. Dreamy house full of unique history! Wall to wall furniture, artwork and everything in between. The garage was overflowing with $1 items on the first day!
Surprise! I came home with a few things too!
This was my first and definitely not last Pat Jones Tag Sale!!!

There were some really nice REAL antiques at this sale. Refreshing.
Yes! I've only been to a couple this full of good old stuff!
Im a " box" collector also. I love old suitcases cigar boxes too
I still kick myself about a drawered piece I had that was made from old cigar boxes!! So cool!
Wish I would have sent my shopping list with youâïļ. You passed up a WHOLE LOT Iâd have grabbed. What an awesome saleâĢïļâĢïļ
So awesome!!! Iâm so glad I went! It was hard not buying everything!!
What a fun estate sale, so many great things and a great price. Some of the pieces of furniture had great prices also. The boxes are very cool. The desk boxes are so cool also, I haven't seen those before. The pitcher is very nice. wonderful items you found.
Thank you! Yes, I was presently surprised with the pricing!!
What a great sale! I think I would take the pictures out of the frames just to check them. Sometimes, they would hide money or important papers in the frames with the pictures.
Oh!!! I never thought of that! I did hear them say they found moneyâĶbut now I canât remember where..a book, a tin???
Thanks for taking me along âĪ
Such a beautiful property!!
All that beautiful beautiful stuff and you brought home that total and complete junk!
ððð Thatâs what I love and my customers love ð
I love every stinkinâ item in your haul! I would go absolutely crazy at a sale like that one! âĪ
Thank you! It was an amazing sale!
You are right, so many pieces of furniture. And they are gorgeous.
Yes!! It was a marvelous sale!
I would have bought the William Henry CHANDLER pastel in a golden frame at 23:01. It's worth 2-400$. I actually have 3 of his pastels. I love it.
ðģ Well darn!
What a fantastic sale Brooke! So many great pieces! âĪ
Yes! It was hard not to buy everything ð
Thank you for a great video. I definitely would have a hard time controlling myself. I probably wouldâve bought most of the things I saw.âĪI just subscribed to your channel âĪ
Thank you! Itâs definitely hard to pick and choose what to buy so that I donât become a hoarder!!
Oh my gosh, all those beautiful capris lamp shades and little pieces of ironstone. Wow, I could have spent 50 bucks I. The garage alone. That mirror behind the door
Right! I loved the shades. A lot of white dishes, but not much ironstone. Some people care about that and some donât. Such a great sale!
The small trunk is very neat. Wool blankets are very nice my grandmother used many wool blankets.
Thank you! I appreciate you watching! Have a great week!
it's hard to watch this after the fact - so many things that I would have picked up ð
Everything was amazing! Definitely hard to make decisions!
Iâm an Iowan that lives in Texas now. I like the hutch and round table. I would have bought the 2 slates as you entered the house. They were used in one room school houses. Look for sheet music that has a pretty picture on the front. They fit in ready made frames. Step into my house and youâll see a large framed hand drawn map of Iowa with all the cities and places on it. Above my fireplace I have a print of the Roseman Bridge in Winterset. I also have a mint 1943 seed catalog from Earl May Garden Center that I paid $40 for. I prefer estate sales and have a lot of really nice things. Good luck on your channel and pearl diving. I subscribed to your channel.
Yes! Your house sounds amazing! I donât go to many estate sales, just the ones I think will have a lot of treasure because the owners traveled, collected or have lived there a long time ð
Loved it!
A magical place! Thanks for watching!
I remember buying Bayer Aspirin in those little tins. In my younger days of course.
I love seeing how things have changed over the years! Will be interesting to see how medicine bottles change in another 20 years! Iâm sure they will come up with something different!!
Gorgeous cabinet!
Iâm so glad I didnât talk myself out of it!!!
The vintage ceramic heavy dairy bowls are sort after in the UK & are expensive to buy
Itâs always interesting to see how things are priced and sought out differently depending on the area!!
A little more chatter would be great. If you know something about items please share it with us
Ok! Thanks for watching!
24:20Jesus, not so loud, my dog woke up!!!!
ððð
You really should have picked up the little stain and crazed aesthetician brown transferware plate in the outside box ðĒ
Darn it!
I'm interested in the pencil box and recipe card box #1, and the crusty flowered pitcher. Prices please
Pencil box $25, pitcher $25, recipe box 25 too
I bought a wooden box.
I bought a box made of wood.
I bought a wood box means a box used for wood. Lol.

How much are you wanting for the farmers journals with the loose paper in it?
$65
How where did you find out about pats sale ?
Facebook and Instagram but she does have an email list I just signed up for!
I was yelling, wait, stop, go back! I saw a Jesus picture a transferware piece in the bathroom and the art was amazing! BTW, did you stay to see how they got that organ out of the upstairs!?
Right! SO MUCH great stuff to see! I did not. They had a while mother day of the sale and had invited a lot of people to come early!
How do you buy from you?
You can just ask prices here. Lots of people come over to Instagram and message me. Oscar framed tin type, 77 & HJB money boxes, bibles have sold
I have a cart or back pack so I can fill it up. I donât trust the hold areas.
Yes. I could see things walking away. Sometimes I have to risk it if I have too much to carry!
Your suitcase was a manicure set . I have one with sterling inside
Awesome! Itâs so big for just manicure stuffð
@@BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor mine has like 30ish pieces . Brush mirror down to Rouge jars .
@@brea5416 Awesome itâs all there!!
What was your vibe in shopping?
Iâm not sure I entirely understand your question, but prices were good. Lots of people buying in bulk as fast as they could. Shoulder to shoulder people the first few hours. I buy to resell so Iâm picking things my customers like. I personally like neutrals, medium sized items that are unique, so I also buy for myself. And my favorite color is green but I often treat it as a neutral!
@@BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor if I had watched more, I would seen your vibe ð you have excellent taste. And I love your thoughts on green and I feel the same way. I look forward to watching more.
@@joanneverderico5040 thank youðð
Gosh, I would of got a lot of items i seen. Great sale... As I'm watching more, you really passed up on some valuable antique items. It was odd to me, out of all the neat stuff, you picked up an old tin box.
It was an amazing sale! I shop for my customers, so I had someone who bought most of those old money boxes off me immediately! So when I buy, I buy what I love, but also what my customers are on the hunt for! Thank you for watching!
I blacked out when you kept walking âĶpaper weights ðĒ
Do you collect them?
@@BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor yes
Some are valuable ðŊ
@@lauriewilson4741 I have passed up a lot over the years! You would have loved to have gotten the collections Iâve passed on!
@@BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor I especially like glass . Just acquired some red and orange uranium Murano
The white dish is a relish dish.
Thank you!!! I knew it was for something specific!!
You passed up all the good stuff. Please focus so we can see.
Loaded sale! Next time, grab an empty crate and put your items in it! Easier to carry. A buck for a crate? A deal! Makes very easy carry. And frees you up. You have a good eye for the 1890âs China,
I had a tote with me but Iâm still a newbie and one hand is holding the camera so it can limit what I grab sometimes!
Going too fast.
Sorry! Had to go fast to get to things first!
Terrible camera work!
Thanks for letting me know your thoughts & for watching!
You pan through so quickly that it makes a person nauseous. Canât see anything!
It was a mad dash!
its amazing to me how some of these videos reflect the inexperience of the people doing the video in that they pass up great flip for large returns items for the minimal return items ,and focus the camara on minimal dollar valued items...so that leads me to ask ,why are they doing these videos, the purpose? i guess they just want to show the young inexperienced people just how easy it is to look like u know how to pick for success even though your success is not profit but just to be there doing a video, trying to get popular...wheres american pickers when u need them....i guess everybody just wants to be somebody.
well, everyone has their own opinion. I know what my buyers like to purchase and I know what I like to have in my own home. And sometimes when youâre videotaping you do look for different things. You should check out my haul from this video and see if you like any of the things that I picked lol. Because what you see in the video doesnât even show you what I actually brought home. and it also is amazing to me that you talk about profit. When you have no idea what my income is like lol, or the income of anyone you watch.
So...your comment leads me to ask, why did you make this comment, the purpose? Guess it's just to show how snarky some people can beðĪ
â@@BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlordon't listen to the haters. If you are making a profit and you know your client base then that's great. Jeep on keeping on.
I also saw some nice things I would have purchased. But it's your taste and your clients taste you have to worry about.
I love love boxes!!
@@barbarahartzog7631 Thank you! I appreciate thatð
