Only tattoo I had a problem with was the second time I did my foot as an apprentice in a studio. I walked around on it for about 6 hours and it swelled up and went that funny bruised red colouring. I immediately elevated my foot with some ice and got on with some designs for clients and by 9pm it looked mostly normal again. Alot of artists don't make enough of a point about resting and elevating feet after feet and ankle tattoos to keep the swelling to a minimum and not frick up your new ink!!
They have it through the wrist because it would rip through the hand and they would fall off. If you put the large nail through the wrist then they stay hanging it can support the weight.

One place has enough integrity to let know that they specialize in a specific style and wouldn't be able to do the exact style I wanted. Fair. I respect them for being up front. Another place when I asked if the artists can do realism and follow my design, the person at the desk said "you pay us, and we'll do whatever you want. You want a swastika, we'll give you a swastika." I immediately left because damn. Among the things I questioned about that place, I wondered why the guy was thinking, that I as an Asian female, would be impressed with that statement? Some people, I swear

The woman with the unfortunate neck black-out actually had been planning it for a while. She said she painted her neck for about a year or so and was fully prepared. Her artist and her were both excited- it came down to the artist putting on the stencil, and the tattoo receiver said she agreed too quickly out of awkwardness and hype even though the stencil didn't seem quite right. That's from what I can recall. Just a bit unfortunant all around, really - I think I originally saw TreacleTatts cover it.
I'm prone to agreeing with everything immediately because I have terrible social anxiety. When I started getting piercings I had to consciously tell myself to actually look at the placement marks and think about if I liked them for at least 30 seconds before agreeing. I feel for her.

Disney ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT let that man in. Trying to come in like that might get him an actual ban (because even if he put on a different shirt, they can't guarantee he won't switch back once he's in the park.) I'm surprised he even made it on the tram. Disney is REALLY serious about their guest dress code (you cannot wear anything even slightly inappropriate and offensive tattoos have to be entirely covered) and if employees had seen that as he boarded the tram, they'd have sent him back to his car for a shirt, as cheerfully and politely as possible, of course. Disney does NOT play that.

Texan here! A little story time. I was visiting a potential girlfriend in Melbourne, AUS. We ended up going to a KFC one time for food. And the guy behind the counter asked if I was Canadian or American (I really don't have much of a specific accent.) And I said, I'm from Texas. His next question was "do you own a gun". I lmao and said noooo, not all of us are gun crazy! I have a CO2 BB gun, a replica of a real gun, can't remember what model right now. But if you saw it at a glance, it would look like a real gun. I wouldn't get a real gun, ever. But if I needed to scare someone off, my BB gun would do the trick I'm pretty sure! I just thought it was hilarious he asked me that 😂 (not to mention it fires steel BBs.) If I had to shoot it, depending on where it hit the person, it could be really bad! But I don't carry it around with me or anything, and I mostly stay home. I've never even fired it, I want to go to a firing range or somewhere appropriate to fire it, sometime 😂😂😂
The girl with the black out neck tattoo I saw a story on her and she used to black it out with makeup and decided she wanted it permanently but she didn't expect it to go up that high on her jaw, so the artist and her had a different understanding on where the blackout started
Does the artist not understand the purpose of a neck blackout tattoo? The girls tattoo clearly starts slightly above her jawline instead of slightly under it… seems like the artist was either inexperienced/didn’t understand the purpose of the tattoo.

There is wayyy more to the story.... but she absolutely put lots of thought into it and drew it on herself many times before it was actually done... it seemed to me like maybe she was being gaslit by the artist... it was weird. She REFUSED to blame the artist.

She dialed in the exact line placement for her face, but somehow the artist ended up going a bit too far up, and went over the natural contour of her face. Being slightly off really changed the look of the whole thing and rounded out her face, which is why she hated it so much. It's such a bummer.
@cindyshirreffs2099 No. Lazer removal isn't that precise. Even lazer and retouching wouldn't work because the newer ink would look different from the original ink, so the result would be patchy. It's really the sort of tattoo that is either done flawlessly the first time, or it's permanently botched.
I saw a video about the girl with the blacked-out neck tattoo, and if I remember it correctly, she did use make-up to see if she would like it for quite a while before getting the actual tattoo done. In the video she then said that there was just really bad communication between her tattoo artist and her because she did her make-up version very differently to what the artist had in mind but then again didn't have the heart to tell the artist that that was not what she wanted. The woman also clearly states that she doesn't blame her tattoo artist directly but rather the miscommunication, on the other hand the tattoo is also not symmetrical and goes higher up on the left side of her jaw than on the right, which in that case is directly the artist's fault (at least in my opinion, I can't remember what she herself said about that)
I'm a true crime fan but getting a serial killer tattoo or merch (I've seen it on Etsy, scary stuff) just makes me think the person who got it wants to be a murderer.
As someone who reads a lot of true crime I will never ever understand why people want to glorify these serial killers and their horrible acts on innocent victims.

Jesus is often depicted with nails through his hands. However, that’s not how it was done. There’s nothing to stop a nail from ripping through the hand. Instead, they nailed through the wrist often between the radius and ulna bone so there is no way for your hand to rip.
If the legs are supported (e.g. by a big nail through the heel bones), then the palms can be nailed. The nail through the wrist is a misinterpretation of marks on bones found at Givat Ha Mivtar.

Also, the hands are not durable enough to hold the arms up for extended time, so historically went through the wrists as stronger and would last the time spent up there. At least that's what I have heard/read

My husband works for Disney. They do not allow those tattoos in Disney to be visible they will require him to put a shirt on or they won’t let him in. Same with inappropriate shirts they are very strict about that stuff.

The Jesus on the cross tattoo is actually accurate because in history of the execution method of crucifixion they nailed the wrists not hands. But why does anyone want someone being executed tattooed on their body
From what I’ve heard, the wrists have the two study bones that are perfect for pining a person up on the cross, and of course, cause the prisoner to bleed to death. I don’t quite remember, but I seem to recall doing it by the hands would only just cause extended pain, perhaps even destroy the hands.
From what I’ve read you can support the weight of a body when nailing between the bones of the forearm, as the bones support the weight. When nailing through the hands there’s nothing to help support the weight and the body weight will tear the nails through the hands causing them to fall. Anatomically it makes more sense to go between the ulna and radius if you’re hoping to leave someone hanging for some time. I clearly spend too much time reading / watching / listening to true crime stuff 😂

4:26 so the common christian portrayal of crucifixion is through the hand but in reality they would've nailed through the wrist, specifically between the two forearm bones, which would be to ensure that even once dying or dead, the person being crucified would stay on the cross, as the bones would keep the body in place. it also serves to add excruciating pain obviously since a huge portion of your body weight would be held up by those nails through the wrist
My mum passed almost 2 years ago and I'm booked in for my first tattoo as a memorial for her, like a lot of people during lockdown she got obsessed with ice cubes and making them in different moulds! I've decided to get an ice cube designed like it was made from a chocolate box liner as this was the first 'mould' she got excited about 😂

The "3D" tattoos made me wanna cry. Ofc they're cheap because it's a negative reaction. Skin isn't supposed to look like that. The serial killer tattoos are pretty nasty too. Screams either "I'm trying to be edgy" or "I'm a legitimate psychopath and these are my idols" Tattooing people on your body in general is oftentimes a terrible idea too, but serial killers are even worse.

One of my mom’s good friends was Ted Bundy’s best friend. He use to baby sit her teenage daughter and he was good friends with a large part of the police force because of his friendship with her. She worked with officers because she wrote books on criminals primarily serial killers. When he was finally caught he wouldn’t talk with any book writers other then her. It broke her heart when she found out what he had done. She said that it made her physically sick each time she visited him in prison to gain further knowledge for writing the book “The stranger beside me” because she just couldn’t get past that the sweet friendly man she knew kept telling her all these horrendous things he did when she wasn’t looking. Fun Fact: No doubt this has been said before but yep, crucifixion took place through the wrists and ankles. Dark Age, Medieval, Renaissance art didn't know any better and depicted through the hands. In the Philippines they do Easter Passion plays with volunteers to be crucified, which they do through the hands....none have lasted longer than an hour, they always fall off due the body weight.

As someone who does love nsfw stuff both porn and more artistic pieces, I would bail so hard if I saw that anime girl tattoo. I don’t judge if someone has an explicit tattoo, but they need to be in a place you will always have covered unless you are in private. Having it so prominent (and taking up so much real estate) is a huge red flag. I love a good kink tattoo, but there is a fine line between a cool one and one that is completely immature.

Texan here! A little story time. I was visiting a potential girlfriend in Melbourne, AUS. We ended up going to a KFC one time for food. And the guy behind the counter asked if I was Canadian or American (I really don't have much of a specific accent.) And I said, I'm from Texas. His next question was "do you own a gun". I lmao and said noooo, not all of us are gun crazy! I have a CO2 BB gun, a replica of a real gun, can't remember what model right now. But if you saw it at a glance, it would look like a real gun. I wouldn't get a real gun, ever. But if I needed to scare someone off, my BB gun would do the trick I'm pretty sure! I just thought it was hilarious he asked me that 😂 (not to mention it fires steel BBs.) If I had to shoot it, depending on where it hit the person, it could be really bad! But I don't carry it around with me or anything, and I mostly stay home. I've never even fired it, I want to go to a firing range or somewhere appropriate to fire it, sometime 😂😂😂

The girl with the black out neck tattoo I saw a story on her and she used to black it out with makeup and decided she wanted it permanently but she didn't expect it to go up that high on her jaw, so the artist and her had a different understanding on where the blackout started

Ive seen another video about the girl with the neck tattoo. There is wayyy more to the story.... but she absolutely put lots of thought into it and drew it on herself many times before it was actually done... it seemed to me like maybe she was being gaslit by the artist... it was weird. She REFUSED to blame the artist.
On one hand I think she was taking accountability, but on the other hand I think the artist was low key on a power trip and trying to teach her a lesson
Wasn't the edge different on the tattoo vs where she tested it with makeup? Just a slight difference can change the jawline and appearance greatly.

The woman with the neck blackout did use makeup for a long time. She dialed in the exact line placement for her face, but somehow the artist ended up going a bit too far up, and went over the natural contour of her face. Being slightly off really changed the look of the whole thing and rounded out her face, which is why she hated it so much. It's such a bummer.

@cindyshirreffs2099 No. Lazer removal isn't that precise. Even lazer and retouching wouldn't work because the newer ink would look different from the original ink, so the result would be patchy. It's really the sort of tattoo that is either done flawlessly the first time, or it's permanently botched.
I saw a video about the girl with the blacked-out neck tattoo, and if I remember it correctly, she did use make-up to see if she would like it for quite a while before getting the actual tattoo done. In the video she then said that there was just really bad communication between her tattoo artist and her because she did her make-up version very differently to what the artist had in mind but then again didn't have the heart to tell the artist that that was not what she wanted. The woman also clearly states that she doesn't blame her tattoo artist directly but rather the miscommunication, on the other hand the tattoo is also not symmetrical and goes higher up on the left side of her jaw than on the right, which in that case is directly the artist's fault (at least in my opinion, I can't remember what she herself said about that)

I'm a true crime fan but getting a serial killer tattoo or merch (I've seen it on Etsy, scary stuff) just makes me think the person who got it wants to be a murderer.
As someone who reads a lot of true crime I will never ever understand why people want to glorify these serial killers and their horrible acts on innocent victims.

Jesus is often depicted with nails through his hands. However, that’s not how it was done. There’s nothing to stop a nail from ripping through the hand. Instead, they nailed through the wrist often between the radius and ulna bone so there is no way for your hand to rip.
If the legs are supported (e.g. by a big nail through the heel bones), then the palms can be nailed. The nail through the wrist is a misinterpretation of marks on bones found at Givat Ha Mivtar.

Also, the hands are not durable enough to hold the arms up for extended time, so historically went through the wrists as stronger and would last the time spent up there. At least that's what I have heard/read

My husband works for Disney. They do not allow those tattoos in Disney to be visible they will require him to put a shirt on or they won’t let him in. Same with inappropriate shirts they are very strict about that stuff.

The Jesus on the cross tattoo is actually accurate because in history of the execution method of crucifixion they nailed the wrists not hands. But why does anyone want someone being executed tattooed on their body
From what I’ve heard, the wrists have the two study bones that are perfect for pining a person up on the cross, and of course, cause the prisoner to bleed to death. I don’t quite remember, but I seem to recall doing it by the hands would only just cause extended pain, perhaps even destroy the hands.
From what I’ve read you can support the weight of a body when nailing between the bones of the forearm, as the bones support the weight. When nailing through the hands there’s nothing to help support the weight and the body weight will tear the nails through the hands causing them to fall.
Anatomically it makes more sense to go between the ulna and radius if you’re hoping to leave someone hanging for some time.

When it comes to the blackout neck tattoo, that was actually a whole thing! That poor person DID use makeup and tried it out and it looked fine where they did it, however the tattoo artist they worked with had put the lines too far up! It's a really interesting story if you'd like to check it out sometime.

4:26 so the common christian portrayal of crucifixion is through the hand but in reality they would've nailed through the wrist, specifically between the two forearm bones, which would be to ensure that even once dying or dead, the person being crucified would stay on the cross, as the bones would keep the body in place. it also serves to add excruciating pain obviously since a huge portion of your body weight would be held up by those nails through the wrist

My mum passed almost 2 years ago and I'm booked in for my first tattoo as a memorial for her, like a lot of people during lockdown she got obsessed with ice cubes and making them in different moulds! I've decided to get an ice cube designed like it was made from a chocolate box liner as this was the first 'mould' she got excited about 😂
Awww that's precious! My mama passed away in October of last year and I have two memorial tattoos for her. One is a dove and a verse from a Christian rock song she loved. The other one is a bouquet of flowers for my mama, grandma and great grandma, and my mamas and grandmas signatures.

Im getting a cover-up done in about two weeks, and the artist doing it is the same one that did the tat we're covering lol. Shes been my friend for 15 years and she did the original in her parents kitchen when she was first starting. Well now shes a sought after artist at a local shop and we both agreed it needs covered lol. I find it pretty funny, just wanted to share 😂

One of my mom’s good friends was Ted Bundy’s best friend. He use to baby sit her teenage daughter and he was good friends with a large part of the police force because of his friendship with her. She worked with officers because she wrote books on criminals primarily serial killers. When he was finally caught he wouldn’t talk with any book writers other then her. It broke her heart when she found out what he had done. She said that it made her physically sick each time she visited him in prison to gain further knowledge for writing the book “The stranger beside me” because she just couldn’t get past that the sweet friendly man she knew kept telling her all these horrendous things he did when she wasn’t looking. Fun Fact: No doubt this has been said before but yep, crucifixion took place through the wrists and ankles. Dark Age, Medieval, Renaissance art didn't know any better and depicted through the hands.
In the Philippines they do Easter Passion plays with volunteers to be crucified, which they do through the hands....none have lasted longer than an hour, they always fall off due the body weight.

As someone who does love nsfw stuff both porn and more artistic pieces, I would bail so hard if I saw that anime girl tattoo. I don’t judge if someone has an explicit tattoo, but they need to be in a place you will always have covered unless you are in private. Having it so prominent (and taking up so much real estate) is a huge red flag. I love a good kink tattoo, but there is a fine line between a cool one and one that is completely immature.
