I agree...looks like Ford development learned a lot after building the Renaissance Center in the 70's. However, Detroit needs to expand the Q Line down Michigan Av. to Corktown to connect it to Downtown.
Sure glad that Bill Ford took on that project. A beautiful building and a real work of art on the inside. Hope it proves out to be a great anchor point for Detroit's future. Thanks once again for another great video.
I was at a union gathering in Roosevelt Park in September. The Michigan Central Station has never looked better in my lifetime. The city has done a great restoration of the park. My thanks to the Ford family for their commitment to Detroit. Great job on the video, and keep up the excellent work. ❤👍💯
Another tour de force example of precision flying and great framing of the shots.... The sound score was also spot on awesome! Great fun watching!!!!!! BRAVO sbf
It’s amazing that many people gave your comment a like, meaning that they agree with you but they didn’t give the video a like. Cmon people we’re better than that
Love this video, perfect video, the drone is the best way to get up close to the building. It’s a magnificent building and so glad the Bill Ford, Jr has preserved it !
It took almost 400 years for Detroit to go from a river front fort to a city of well over a million people, it's rebirth has begun again at the river, and is moving outward to all of Detroit and beyond, the train station will be a big part, love it.
@@michaelanthonyvideosMDOT is planning a new bus/train station across the tracks from the current Amtrak shed. Amtrak will only stop at the MC Depot if one train is diverted to Windsor from Pontiac.
😃 “ INCREDIBLE!…. I’m not from Detroit or never been There. Regardless, I’m just glad to see It experiencing a significant ‘ urban renaissance ’ unlike any other since the Early-20th century. ‘ The Motor City ’ has long been fairly and unfairly maligned because of crime, violence, population loss, racial strife, municipal corruption, and other socioeconomic issues. Nevertheless, It deserves the unprecedented level of civic pride and ongoing revitalization underway. ”
Paris of the Midwest, my mom and dad moved to Detroit from northern Mich in the 30s, I remember my mother saying Detroit has the best parks, schools, city services, zoo, etc, great place to live and raise a family.
Anyone from Detroit knows this building and how far abandoned it was. The fact they restored this place is nothing short of a miracle. So many other beautiful buildings have been leveled here its a miracle this one survived.

It would be nice if they could use it for train service again. From the video it looks like the are between the station and the existing tracks is planned for other uses.
If that’s ALL they were doing the building would still be in the condition it was b4 the renovation began ! Personally I say they’ve been doing a BEAUTIFUL JOB !
Oh so good. Keep it up mike.
Thank you so much for the Super Thanks! You're very kind.
Ford should be given a lot of credit for taking this project on and significantly contributing to the revival of Detroit.
I agree! They saved the building.

Looks like a gorgeous restoration and a real plus for the Metro area.
Yes indeed

@@Mark-oy1wvActually I get a lot of thumbs down when I check my analytics. It could possibly be from other drone channels.
Wow, another fabulous job as always Michael, too bad the eagle wasnt perched on the corner of the building again. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it Dean! The eagle would have been nice to see again.
Thank you for watching and your continued support!
So glad to see this happening in Detroit. Best wishes for a thriving future, from KC.
It's come a long way from the beginning.
Stay tuned for more beautiful things to come
Fantastic drone footage
Glad you enjoyed it
This soundtrack is funky asf....
🎶🐶
This is so great to see.
Thank you for filming this and posting! It's great to see the progress
It's my pleasure!
Thanks Bill Ford! Thanks also to all the union workers who’ve made this happen!

The river walk is beautiful!
Really interested to see what they do with the back “yard” of the building
I’m hoping that Amtrak returns and leaves that ridiculous shack off of Woodward.

The music is fine! Horses built it before.

What is this structure in the thumbnail photo?
Well done.

Well said!
But are trains coming back?
Any estimate on the date of completion?
Not sure. There have been a few delays. Thank you for watching!
Good video. Who's doing the background music? Nice.
Music kinda has a Barney Miller theme song vibe to it!
Yeah it does!!!
I wonder if when it was built if Detroit thought the neighborhood around would be built up like in New York.
It used to be.
Guess WE can AGREE that Mr. Mauel Moroun DID ONE THING RIGHT in holding on to THIS BUILDING until THE RIGHT BUYER CAME ALONG in FORD MOTOR COMPANY !
🤙✌💪
Thanks Dan!
Great work, but cannot see how they could ever use any part of it for rail passenger service?
The tracks are still there…
Yes, but they are way far away from where the platforms used to be!
That's true but they can easily change that.@@Robbi496

Change the station, play real funk from the 70s
Some commentary would have been nice.
Note : Most all workers are simply standing around ..... I will let you draw your own conclusions !
It's a Sunday.
Lions were playing the Bears at Ford field today.
Union break...I'm guessing?
