- Watch our Introduction video on the books of Ezra and Nehemiah, which outlines the books' main theme and how it is fulfilled in Jesus.
God wants to live with us. We see this truth in Ezra and Nehemiah. Ezra and Nehemiah are two books that tell one story-the story of Israel coming home. Israel had been exiled from their land and removed from God's presence in the temple because of their sins. But in Ezra and Nehemiah, God is bringing a remnant back. Ultimately, though, God's presence does not return to the temple the way Israel thought he would. Instead, the books end on a low note of failure and more exile. But the good news is that Jesus has done what Ezra and Nehemiah couldn't. He brings us back home to God and makes a way for us to live in his presence.

Love the way this story was told. Man can do Many things to try and be worthy for the presence of God, but it is only Jesus our lord and savior that is worthy, it is through accepting him that we too can enjoy and experience the presence of God.

Your presentation on Zerubbabel, Ezra, and Nehemiah initially somewhat confused and mildly troubled me and my traditionalist way of thinking. I had to rewatch the whole video three times. And now I am finally realizing that you have most probably have indeed shown me these two books in a totally new Light. Yes, HE was crucified outside the walls of the self same city , even though King Herod greatly rebuilt and enlarged Zerubbabel’s Temple where YESHUA JESUS and his Talmidim/ Apostles worshipped. Although without the Ark of The Covenant which was absent since Zachariah hid it away just before Nebuchadnezzar could capture it. Without the Ark and it’s Mercy Seat how could Israel’s Kohen Gadol/ High Priest sprinkle the blood of lambs or goats to sprinkle on the unused side of the top of the lid of the Ark for his sins and all those of Israel. For behind the Veil of the Holy of Holies there was no ark for those five hundred years!
Furthermore the death of YESHUA/JESUS on The Cross caused the earthquake which snapped the massive many ton lintel stone which held up the many inch thick veil of the Temple which kept secret the empty Holy of Holies was itself rent in two from top to bottom letting all of the Jews gaze into the empty Holy of Holies. Then 37 or 40 years later the Temple itself was utterly destroyed by the Roman’s in 70 a.d exactly as was prophesied by our Messiah. Brother David, you are but a child compared to my being in our LORD, Savior and GOD YESHUA HAMASHIACH/JESUS The CHRIST as I am now only 75 years in HIM. But methinkes that today you my friend have “rearranged” some of my thinking and interpretation of GOD’s Holy WORD. If I am correct that your view is correct then your view will prove to be life changing to more people than you may ever realize.
Additionally if I am correct the last Jew ever tried in the stone chamber of the Sanhedrin was JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF as the same earthquake cracked the main supporting structure of the stone cave structure in which the Sanhedrin was housed. No one ever used that Sanhedrin chamber after JESUS’s hearing of condemnation.

This is literally the most racist book in the Bible and yet you see all black people in the beginning of this video the reason why I'm not considered Jewish today is because of Ezra and Nehemiah
