Gaming consoles are rare in india. Most of indian used pc back in the day for gaming. Even if you didn't own pc you could go to game centers where you could rent pc for 20 rupees (50 cents) an hour. Most of the indians have played GTA and counter strike.

I recently took a boat ride in Chicago, you know, the one where they give you the full historical rundown of every single building in the skyline. And when I say "they," I mean the super-enthusiastic guy with the mic who clearly had a lot of fun facts to share. But me? Yeah, I was just there to snap some cool pics and vibe. I tuned out the commentary after about five minutes. Like, sorry dude, I’m not writing a thesis on Chicago architecture.
The only thing that actually stuck was the part about how one-third of the city went up in flames during that massive fire. That’s some hardcore stuff, and I respect how they rebuilt everything from scratch. But everything else? Just felt like bonus trivia that I didn’t sign up for. Loved the ride, though! My first introduction to the video games was in 2007 i don't remember the name but it was about military then 2008 for the first time i played Vice City and few months later my brother got San Andreas
    and it was like WTF.
I was late into video games and was playing older games on potato PC but those open world games to me was like the perfect life. anyone remember all those cheat in San Andreas rocket man i only
remember this. It was fun and so many times i got fake GTA games because in my town there was no official or any gaming store just simple shop selling pirated games. First run of San Andreas was mute
no dialogues so i did not understood the story just played whatever the directions were. It was fun man. This is how i got introduced to america later your movies and more video games.
this is the soft power USA have and i was dead set to move to USA because my brother moved to the UK (because we are punjabi sikhs and everyone move to a western country) but as i become more aware
and internet gave me the reality check so i stayed in India. The point i am trying to make is for me GTA games were something very new, exciting, fun, escape from reality. And later gave me the reason to
understand english. I have not learned english until i started playing games and movies. I have not learned english from school. That is why my english is broken. But the impact these games had
on me is something very different. Since 2013 i have not watched many bollywood or punjabi movies because once i started watching hollywood these movies were so bad i just stopped watching.
I was so facinated by USA through games and movies i started becoming arrogant my few family members live in the usa (you know punjabi thing that is why😆😆) when they say something i was like
yeah yeah i know (they were like MF i live here and you sitting in a tiny town in punjab india know "everything" about usa) of course i did not knew anything but i felt like i understand america better.
and i was bashing my town my country to family because to USA was perfect you can say perfect example of brainwash. Yeah there is a difference between our countries as you know we are still developing.
My YT feed was full with american stuff from Johnny Carson, Sinatra, Don Rickles, Conan O'Brien their shows, You tubers like Joe Rogan and others like Lew Later, some british YT like Sidemen etc etc
and all those shows about norse and later 70s,80s american serial killers like Bundy, Manson family, green river killer, dahmer and all those american mafia videos on YT and ofcourse how can i not say
sopranos and seinfeld, the office, later all those mexican and colombia narco etc shows on netflix. I spend atleast 7years in this mode. watching everything i can about west and i got so comfortable
i like it is funny i will watch american movies if there are short clothes i would not even notice it until my older brother and dad smack me on the head like "what are you watching"
This is the power of internet you feel connected to the culture that is very different and far away and you will feel outsider if you actually go there but on internet after a time you feel connected.
But also now i know why terrorists do what they do and how they got shaped into this hateful person who want to kill. shaping mind is easy if you spend whole day doing something regularly.
Also i think now i know why america have so many Karens🤣🤣🤣

There are so much of gaming communities in india. like tournaments and events are there. Thats why when PUBG was banned in india because of some national issue and the Tencent company(Pubg Production) re launched PUBG with seperate indian server as BGMI (Battle Ground Mobile India) with legal terms. Because a huge players of Pubg are from india. I used to play so many Pc games. GTA was a nostalgia for me. i finished both GTA vice city and Sanandrias when i was a kid. like most of the young kids played gta for sure. Gaming was always popular in india. recently you can see Playsatation every where. when i was a kid my brother used to play Playstation from his friends home. now he is 32 and have a playstaion to play. Playstation leads the console market in india followed by pc and then it is xbox here.... Mobile have become the affordable cheap and mobilility device for kids or people with less income they emulate ps2 and stuff but yeah consoles have always been there. You would be surprised to find about a decade & half ago. Arcade machines to play SNES or NES systems was the main thing,wr had gaming cyber cafes.
We've had my first pc since pentium 2 personally and it had win 98 😂 i used to play Dave, Pac Man, Sky Invader something basically DOS games is what i used to play and i thought that was cool😂
PlayStation 1 at the time was too ahead of pc but i have always been pc only its only a decade ago i got to know that playstation users were eating

I have been a PC gamer my whole life. Was building PCs with my step dad when I was very young and just grew up with it. I had consoles too and handled but it was always the PC games I liked the most
I am glad I didn't have my first introduction to games be a phone

@@ReldrikGeo I'm same, except i used to watch my uncle who used to visit and build PCs for us everytime now it's just me so i basically watched and learned from him growing up.
I won't lie I did buy a used PS3 about 5 yrs ago just to play red dead redemption 1, played it and then i sold it back to the same gamestore lol. It was worth the money, that ps3 was one of the versions you could jailbreak to run backwards compatible ps1 and ps2 games on. It was alright very slow in downloads and installation but i had pc so wasnt worth collecting dust.
I do though play some mobile games that aren't free or ads filled, like the paid ones but yeah im guilty of that. Like port of alien isolation, grid autosport and other AAA games with controller.
RDR 1 remastered is going to release on pc this month, so i might pick it up again on sale
