    Simpson’s Garden Centre is very close to that site. Close enough to walk and easy access with plenty of parking for motorhomes. Fantastic restaurant with views across Moray Firth. Well worth a visit.

    I enjoyed watching you on the latest stage of your tour in Scotland. I’ve been to the North of Scotland many times, but I’m ashamed to say,that as a native of the country,I haven’t visited some of the places you’ve been at. I’ve recently returned from a ten day holiday in Cyprus, far hotter than Scotland,obviously, but no more beautiful. I have holidayed in the Elgin area, at Nairn. That looks like a nice peaceful site at Culloden. I remember when I used to go on family touring caravan holidays, my Dad used a spirit level and wooden blocks under the stands, to have the caravan sitting level, when we arrived on a site. That was back in the days before electric hook ups, and we used the Calor gas for the lights as well as the cooker. I hope Poppy recovers well after her visit to the vet. Nice to see you on this video, Bob and Jenny. I hope you enjoy visiting places in the area. Take Care. Enjoy.

    Hi both.Thanks very much for all your hard work putting your videos together, they are very much appreciated.
    When you have been touring during winter months and not got hook-up, how much gas do you tend
    to get through during a day keeping warm?
    Keep your videos coming we really enjoy them.

      Thank you. We only tend to use gas for cooking, unless we are off grid, so generally a gas bottle lasts for at least two months touring.

    Hope you go on the tour around the Castle of Mey.....some interesting (some funny) stories about the queen mum and a nice restaurant & gift shop.

      Unfortunately Castle Mey is closed whilst we are here. We did go in July 2017 but weren’t allowed to film inside. We were shown round by a former member of the Queen Mum’s staff. We filmed the outside in this video, it is one of our early ones so the stabilisation isn’t great (GoPro Hero 5).

    Hello bob, jenny & poppy, I'm glad poppy is ok, ticks are menacing, & you have to get them out straight away. Looks really beautiful in culloden. I hope you have a lovely time & of course I'm enjoying travelling with you. Lots of love, take care. Linda xx ❤

      Thank you, yes that's why we went to the vets as soon as we could.

    Glad Poppy is ok. Hope it doesn't increase.
    Talking about ticks triggered me to buy remover hooks for our upcoming trip to Scotland so thanks for that!

      @BobEarnshawMoHo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I couldn't get anywhere near Poppy with a tick remover. The last time, the vet had to pin her down!

    We stayed on the Crofters Snug a couple of years ago. I’m sure you’ll like it there. It’s very quiet and peaceful and Karina and Jo are a lovely couple and so friendly. If you are lucky enough to get a clear sky the sunsets are to die for. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it there

    I nearly stayed at that site on the tour I'm on now, so we could have been on the same site. I in the end booked up over in Speyside CCC. I was at the airport on 24th though as I booked half an hour in an aircraft to fly over the scenery and experience it from up there, so if you did see a little plane flying over your heads it could have been me! Thanks for showing this site, one to bear in mind for the future!

    We stayed here on our first trip in the van 🚐 in 2021, the view is nice, but we were at the top & the pitches were dreadfully unlevel, the chocks couldn’t get us level either 😵‍💫 We thought the MH service point was tricky too, It’s one we said we wouldn’t return to, just not our cup of tea. ☺️ I’m glad you enjoyed it though and the pizza 🍕 did look good 😎 Em 💜

      @BobEarnshawMoHo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure it's one we'd rush back to, our pitch was quite a slope, but loos were very good.

    Most of your journey looked like the road surface needed reparing

    You should have some tongs in the cab, so you can reach the Barrier point without getting out.

      Tongs won't help with buttons. 😊👍

    We booked this campsite in 2020 but it was cancelled due to restrictions and it was one of only two sites that gave a full refund of our payment. We haven’t yet been able to go back but it certainly looks nice. Good news about Poppy. We had a cyst removed from Oscar’s leg about 7 years ago which kept growing, so definitely keep an eye on it Bob. Safe onward travels 🚐👍🏻💙 Trev n Sue

    I am not certain but i noticed a squeeking on your right side when you were breaking ( coming to a stop) Glad Poppy is ok.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the brakes squeak occasionally. That's seems to be normal for most Sevel based vans.
