Amazing film . Great to see people getting involved and protecting our natural ecology .We must save this beautiful biological environment for generations to see our precious ,flora and fauna , Hat`s of to the volunteer`s and the filming Just stunning close up`s of our most fragile and endangered species .Many thanks to everyone involved in bringing to attention the stewardship and maintenance of our vital streams and rivers .
I was shocked to see the river dryed up.. watch a terrible sight. Here in Holland we could only dream of such rivers, nearly every natural stream we had here was canalized years ago, lost forever.. Learn from the dutch, don't make the same mistake. Please fellow countryman, fight for your lovely UK rivers!
Just to confuse matters, there are two rivers 'Allen' in Dorset; one flows from Martin to join the Hampshire Avon at Fordingbridge, the other rises at Monkton Up Wimbourne to reach the Stour at Wimbourne Minster. I think this is the larger of the two, but I remeber the smaller Allen as a pristine wilderness back in the early sixties.
Doesn't the Allen which rises In Martin, flow entirely through Hampshire? Its course includes Martin, Damerham and Fordingbridge- all in Hampshire. BTW, last time I checked, it was still in good shape.
great video and awesome volunteers - thank you all

Same in France, all the Rivers are almost dead...
So if i see a Jewel like this, i have some tears on my eyes.
Chalk streams do suffer from extraction nowadays, but many do dry out in summer naturally. They are called Winterbournes.

Will need a hell of a lot of fish to feed those otters!
Not the fault of the Mink. Man brought it here. Money!
Who can name all the fish the river holds?
Incorrect, the river frome produced the British record Grayling
He said it has produced the record grayling, not the current record grayling.
2:03 what is it? sculpin?
The singular of species is species not specie !
