The EQ on it's own was good. Two pedals in one. Impressive.
I use my X7 and my Alpha Omega Ultra together. I keep the X7 clean and run that amazing low end compression into the gnarly distortion of the AOU. I really love DG stuff. It's expensive but so, so worth it.
Nathan is usually the goofball in these videos but he’s definitely showing how much he knows in this video. So serious lol. Knowing about the cab simulations, and all.
Please read manuals before reviewing. Moving nobs and its sound like the do nothing shouldn't lead to a "its great" review. So I've "its great BUT" or your doing something wrong

This is the ultimate Bass Pedal for Metal I believe. Bass is one of my favorites to go for definitely. Cheers!

I always have the b7k in my bass signal. having the clean tone omnipresent is paramount to a good drive tone on bass. Darkglass knows how to deliver

Sounds great and very versatile. Gonna stick with my rig for now (Hartke H5500 + GK CX210 cab) but this could be something for the future..
DUDES, you should go through the pedal a little before reviewing it. You guys were so lost you almost blew the review.

Aww. Disappointed. No Nathan on bass. I really like hearing Nathan play. One of the best players I've ever seen.
The pedal? If you are into that tight metal sound such as Karnivool, etc... this'll get you there. It's not my thing, but I can appreciate it for what it is - and this pedal pulled off the elusive trick of sounding both angry and bitey - and yet at the same time, very smooth and controlled. Sound had a nice sheen to it. A splendid piece of kit.

The X refers to the crossover section, the idea of splitting the signal in to a low signal, which gets compression, and the high signal, which gets the drive. The weird part to me is how the crossover is in the form of two separate filters, so you could have frequencies that go to neither side, a scooped sound I suppose. I would have liked to hear more of the sound with the drive backed off, since not everyone wishes they were Nolly. ;-)

Hardly. Bass pedals often don't translate well on guitar, it would probably just sound really muddy.

When darkglass brought out the b7k and AO I was hyped but now all their pedals sound exactly the same/increasingly harsh to me it's such a shame
You're entitled to your opinion, even if it is wrong.
Nearly half the cost of the amp. I'd just buy the amp if I wanted that.
