I had a non battery powered Maui 5 and sold it because it had a glaring con, that being a lack of XLR output that would allow you to connect it to another Maui or any other speaker. The Maui 5 GO and Maui 5 go 100 have this crucial feature allowing you to connect a pair of them together for stereo operation.
This system is awesome I’ve been using it on a few gigs ceremony’s cocktail hour it is so good I’m ready to buy a second one which can be used for sound reinforcement
How does it compare with the JBL eon pro?
Hmmm....paid advertising, take all of this with a grain of salt, do your research and keep your receipt, make sure where you purchase allows returns.
He wouldn’t use the system for an actual wedding like he showed in his video if the product sucked.

great review, great content...this speaker sounds great and I did consider buying them but they are expensive as heck for what I needed them do (I do own the 2 EV Evolve 50's)...alternatively I went with a used harbinger mls900 with a battery pack...sounds great and definitely does the job + completely wireless...The set up to looks very sleek and the battery pack is virtually invisible....I add a battery operated sensheiser g4 lav mic and I'm good to go for most ceremonies...I also have a wireless battery operated mic as well...Total cost with the used mls900 and the battery pack about $500...I just posted a video of my set up check it out.
I own 4 of these & use them for ceremony & cocktails hours only until last weekend when I was asked to cover a small pub. 2 of these and I was off & running. The batteries lasted just over 4hrs.

Yamaha Stagepass 1K comes complete with a bag for the sub and satellite pieces at no extra cost.
Just buy a small suitcase on wheels and put some foam inside to protect the columns. Easy.
Could you use this for a LOUD solo act? One with synths and amped guitar? Crowd of 100? Would you need two? Could one do it?
I have the JBL Eon Compact and haven’t had a chance to use at a ceremony yet. It sounds good though!
I'm torn between the Compact and the Maui 5 Go. The general consensus seems to be leaning toward the LD. Please let us know how you feel after you use it at a ceremony. Thanks.
I bought the bags when I bought the speakers. I knew it would be cumbersome without the bags.
The S1 might be more compact and easier to carry but you also need to factor in speaker stands if you have 2 of them and exposed cables which isn't an issue with the Maui 5 GO.
What are your thoughts on the this vs the S1 Pro in an outdoor setting? I am thinking of starting a DJ company in a small rural town so many of the ceremonies will be outside.

I own 4 of these and haven't plugged in to a wall at a gig since July. Love these. Just wish I could stack 2 batteries to get through the whole night instead of doing the swap.
BS on that battery life claim though. Who's whistle you cleaning man? 3.5 hours up loud. 5 hours dinner music.

How do you connect them together to run stereo mode?
No parametric eq. Can’t put on an uneven surface (outside on lawns where most ceremonies are)
Sand Bags would solve uneven surfaces and create more stability.

I picked up a Maui 5 GO with speaker bags for $1304 delivered to my door from Derrigans Music in Adelaide. Their service is great and they gave me a quick excellent quote, unlike DJ City where they wouldn't budge on the price, claiming that it was already discounted by $50!

I've had my Maui 5 GO for a few months now and I like it so much that I've just received a Maui 5 GO 100 for stereo operation. The only difference between the two is the smaller 3200 battery in the GO 100 as opposed to the larger 5200 battery in the original GO.
If the battery is discharged or charged, can it still be used by feeding it current? Like 2 normal speakers?
What mic do u use with the Maui 5 Go? I just bought a Sennheiser XSW-D because it's battery powered and gives me a true "completely wireless" experience.

Hey Barr, for some reason this video just came into my feed lol. But what i did for transport was took the foam out of the box and made a case for each system and you can also use the on stage speaker stand bag or the arriba bag for long uplights.

@@rlbentertainment7631 10 hrs or so. Just make sure to pick the one with voltage that is powerful enough for you mic. I use the one 80W one I linked you and run a JTS wireless mic off it to a maui 5 go and it works awesome. I set up speaker, plug in mic to Omars, Plug in mic to speaker and use a tablet for music and I have ceremony system up and running in a very short amount of time. The Omars is nice and compact.

I use a pair of behringer EUROPORT MPA40BT-PRO for my ceremonies /cocktail hours and its been working out ok but i am cosntanlt looking to see what i can replace them with becasue i need just a tiny bit more power -- sometimes ...so this Mau 5 looks like something im goingn to look into . Oh i have tried the Gemini and i tried Seismic audio and none worked well like the Behringer but i still want that Maui oh .....does it sound crispy?? hehe
No Bose S1 Pro has a cleaner high end, but this is louder with much better bass.
This system is clearest and best pro sounding and I am super happy! 5 stars!!!

I would suggest considering the JBL EON ONE PRO. I did not like the sound out of the Maui 5 GO as much. A lot more bass with the JBL and a much fuller sound, in my opinion. The JBL is usually a lot more expensive, but I have seen them recently for 999.00 or less. I think the price has been discontinued since the JBL Compact hit the scene. Battery life in my JBL EON ONE PRO is around 3 1/2 to 4 hours at close to max volume. I hear the Maui may
be longer though. But with the ability to pack it all together in the one case ( yes, will be a little heavier than the GO), I feel this is a great battery powered pro speaker.
Appears both are working for DJs and performers. Just sharing my take.

Question. Is this as loud as JBL Eon One Pro, and does it have Bluetooth and reverb??
It has Bluetooth but no one reverb.
The Eon One Pro has more mixer features including reverb but other reviews suggest that the Maui sounds better. It certainly looks much better than the JBL!

Any speaker that doesn't include reverb for singers is really a bad idea. How difficult would it be for a high end speaker system with "all the bells and whistles" not to have this basic feature?? A true exercise in stupidity.

Absolutely love these speakers. Don't have the battery powered version but quality is impecable. Plus they can handle low key events with crowds under 50 guests.
I own 2 of them. They are great. I use one in my studio for daily use.
