How stunning....LOVE the sound of the storm! Just pure beauty!
Thank you! My favorite storm so far! I'm not a fan of hiking and bushwacking in the rain, but it was well worth it!
@@Smokeybeesnatural AMEN!
Such a wonderful area with so much lush vegetation growing on just about everything...amazing! Bruce and Otis
Thank you for watching! The rain certainly makes it feel like a rain forest!
Man, I bet that swim felt good!!! Nothing more relaxing than the sound of rain on the tent. Another great video capture!!!
Heck yeah brother! Low miles, high reward!
Good camera, good eye, good videography, good attitude. I love your videos. Thanks for sharing them, Smokey.
Thank you so much!!!
Beautiful place, great cave. Thank you for sharing 👍
Thank you my friend!
Thank you for your videos. Such good photography. So good at catching the moments and the little things. I’m very thankful for your attention to God’s good creation.❤
Thank you very much 😊 paying attention to the little things helps me slow down and pay attention God's creation!
@@Smokeybeesnatural you know that's right! I especially love the Ale 8 variety at the end :)
No KY hike is complete without Ale8 😋
Wow that burger looked amazing! Looked like a pretty nice trip. Cant believe you had it to yourself on a holiday weekend!
We were pleasantly surprised, but we knew we were off the beaten path. Skybridge station has awesome burgers!
wow, man, that was stunning!! I have to do this one. Never been to Red Byrd Arch. You captured it beautifully. Can't believe how gorgeous the beach area was. That food looked great too.
You can find it on Alltrails. It has a reputation for being a tough hike, with tons of blow downs, but it wasn't hard to follow and didn't take as long as I thought to get to.
I want to go back already. This was such a fun and relaxing trip. And so pretty. Nice job capturing the storm. I could listen to that rain and thunder all day. I also like how green everything is in this one. We don't get to see so much green very often with all our winter trips, haha. And man, my stomach us growling after seeing those burgers again. Our synchronized Ale8 drinking is a thing of beauty as well. Thanks for sharing, brother. I can't wait for the next one!
Thanks brother! As much as I hate dealing with rain, I love how it makes everything so pretty! My favorite thunderstorm so far!
Had a blast on this one! You captured it very well, brother. I really love those shots of the trees reflecting on the water down at the riverside. Can’t wait for more short trips like this that pack a punch!
Low miles, high reward 🤌🤌🤌
Salamander!
Now that is living “The Gorge Life “
You got that right!!! Got one life, LIVE IT!
@@Smokeybeesnatural 😁😁
Nice video Nick! Can’t say I enjoy that hike but I love that arch. Did you go out the same way you came in or did you follow the river out?
We went the same way back. We did see one other person who showed up during the first storm. He and his TWO DOGS came from the Douglas trail and crossed the river to get to the arch. Crazy!
Haha. You found Methcamp! I've cleaned up 100 needles and meth cooking supplies at that campsite several times.
🤣🤣🤣 Makes sense now why we found 5 gallon buckets and random tin cans! If we weren’t bushwacking back up the hill, we would've taken some out. Would be a good spot to take a raft and haul it out.
That hike was a lot tougher a few years ago before all the deadfall, which made up the middle 1/3 of this hike, began decomposing and sinking into the ground.
If you want a real off trail adventure go find Mill Creek Overlook. Leave your shorts and short sleeves at home.
Now that sounds like an adventure! I've seen a photo from the mill creek overlook and it looks amazing!
Awesome! I know Matt from Facebook. Might have to get details 😎
Are there hiking meetups at the gorge, outta franknasty
Franknasty?
@@Smokeybeesnatural Frankfort lol
@daisychain4096 that's what I thought, but wasn't sure I wasn't missing a joke 🤣. There are several Gorge groups on Facebook that you can look for group hikes. There's a tri-state hiking group as well that hosts group meets
@@Smokeybeesnatural cool I gotta look into that
The Best ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for watching!
