What you are talking about with rough times and transformation reminds me of my favorite quote from "Legend of Korra". "It's when we hit our lowest point that we are open to our greatest change." It's so true! Every terrible thing I've been through has lead to something even better, something I needed but didn't know that I needed.
I wish I could recall which video it was. But I vividly recall you talking about imagining signing books at a bookstore someday. I feel like it had something to do with seeing an Instagram post of Sarah J Maass signing bools and wanting that someday. And it’s happening. I’m so happy for you. 🎉

The candy corn call-out is so funny to me! This week I got a Halloween mailer from Bath & Body Works! Everyone is ready so early! Ooh! And thank you for mentioning the switch from Ream. I’m switching away too; I think it’s so interesting you’re going to be running it on TH-cam!
It was 45 years ago, back when kindergarten was optional, but my mom got a private school to let my sister enroll in first grade even though she - like Evie- just missed the cut off, then was able to transfer her over to our local public school for second grade the next year. She could already read and do a bit of math before she started first grade, because we played "school" so much at home. It seemed silly to my mom to keep her back another year. She did fine in school, academically and socially.
Talking about falling down and getting up... I fell last October outside while sweeping and raking. Somehow I trip over the curb area and went down (in a slow motion dance) on top of the broom - almost like a drunk witch falling out of the sky. Can you picture it!? lol And I did get back up (yay) but at my age it took some time. (almost like "I've fallen and I can't get up" commercial) Sustained - bloody knee, bloody hand, bruising on my hip and shoulder, but nothing major. Grateful! Honestly I just wanted to say that I love the grateful stream of consciousness idea as I have found that when I write 3 or 5 things I too do not feel the actual feeling of gratitude. Also, what I can and can't control is so true I try this when I am overwhelmed with too much in one day.
If you want anime in a book, check out another self pub author Will Wight! His cradle series is amazing, and he was able to get his books in B&N! He just did a kickstarter to get it animated too
Have you heard of locals? It might work for Broken Chapter Society. It's owned by rumble, so there is video hosting, and you can decide whether or not to put each post behind a paywall.

My son starts kindergarten this year and will turn six in Sept, so he'll be one of the oldest too! 💚
