Without a doubt Tom’s one of the best frontmen ever.
Kasabian were such a powerhouse
Kasabian best group British....
Oh, I love that performance so much. I watch it so often. Good times for the band when they started to get even more recognition after Empire.
Tom is an incredible frontman. When I watch old Kasabian videos and then under new videos I see young fans writing something like "Serge is a born frontman, the best this band has ever had. I never liked Tom and he had no influence in the band. Kasabian's success is all about Serge." It makes me laugh and sad at the same time. Apparently people don't know that there was life before 2020 and the band's performances before 2014 are already an artefact for them. Kasabian were always known as a live band, and Tom played over 1000 gigs as frontman proving that, and now at those 90 gigs that Kasabian did without him in 4 years people were saying that Tom was never needed. Yeah now they're saving their frontman so he doesn't get depression and burnout, otherwise poor Chris Edwards will have to become the frontman he never wanted to be. They used to do about 100 gigs a year, now around 90 in four years. Still the same band - they're trying to prove to us that. and they haven't given a single full acoustic performance, although their acoustics used to be one of the best among musical bands. Same band, same band if not better. It's ridiculous.
God bless Tom
i agree they are a shell of themselves without Tom and have no interest going to see them now. however don’t have any sympathy for Tom. he’d the world at his feet and threw it all away with only himself to blame
So love this! Thanks so much for posting!
Did anyone catch Jays guitar string breaking 25:05 haha but switched in time. Brilliant performance especially with the symphony
I went to this. Couldn't hear the orchestra at all when I was there.
the acoustics sound a bit shit....was it ok?
harry bosch Yeah it was fine. I think the problem I had was that I was right by the speaker at the front. Guillemots were on before them with the orchestra too though and that sounded great. Haven't been able to find that vid though.
34:46 So...Zak Starkey is obvs Ringo Starr's son. And he's been in Oasis for a while and has guested with Kasabian. Bet he has some stories! :)
+lunando9 Totally forgot about that! ....even MORE stories! lol
