  • Photographing Fireworks can be challenging, so in this tutorial I show you the basic steps you need to take and give you a guide on the settings and focal length to use to help you take some Fireworks Photos that you’ll be eager to show off to your family, friends and Social Media.
    StarStaX This is the program that I use to blend my Fireworks photos.
    StarStaX = bit.ly/3pAccdG
    How to import and render a set of fireworks images in StarStaX
    1. Open the program
    2. File - Open Images
    3. Preferences (Right-hand side of Menu)
    4. Blending Mode - Gap Filling or Lighten
    5. Leave other Preferences alone
    6. Go to Edit - Start Processing
    7. Images will be merged together
    8. When finished - File - Save As
    9. Name your file and chose Save.
    10. The file will be saved has a jpg file
    11. If you want to save your file has a "tif" file
    12. Make sure that when you name the file you add the file extension at the end
    13. Example - fireworks_01.tif
    That is it, enjoy

    Thank you for the video. Could you help with some focusing tips to ensure sharp fireworks pictures. Is it a good idea to set focus on some subject almost near to the area where fireworks would occur and change the focusing mode to manual to lock it. I'm not confident on going to manual mode and focus to infinity by the lens marking. By the way, I' m using Nikon D7500 + Nikon 16-80mm. Thanks in advance.

      Yes, definitely, and that is what I do. I set my focus point and then turn off auto-focus
