@lizachaika Nice to see that you are enjoying your stay in Sri Lanka , having fun doing the videos and leading ahead with the video uploads on TH-cam, while @Danygotaworldtosee is still catching up with the videos on his TH-cam channel of the adventures from Bangkok. Cheers !!! 😊
Hello Liza. You paid too much for that egg hopper. She charged you a lot. If you eat egg hoppers in a local restaurant its cost less than Rs.200 for sure. Next time do not go to a fancy or tourist area restaurants to try local food. eat with locals and you can eat well and pay less. Enjoy.
@@agentnine999 you can buy an egg hopper for Rs.150 in srilanka and not for 450, usually you can buy lunch for that Rice and Curry packet 😂, that's why I said it's tourist price
@@RiceFlyy There is no standard prices for these kind of food. If you have demand you can sell it whatever price you like. What i wanted tell is that it's same price for everyone whether you are a tourist or a local. There is no something called tourist price if it's same for locals, it's normal price for that cafe
@@agentnine999 there is a standard minimum price for every food in srilanka, and no srilankan would buy an egg hopper for Rs.450 even at luxury hotel you can get it for even less price. Also there is a tourist price in srilanka too, even if you try to visit a place if you have to buy a ticket for foreigners they charge more, even for food vendors are known to do that, it's better to be mindful when going into a restaurant whether it's main target is tourist or locals. Just ask from any srilankan when they ate an egg hopper for Rs.450 😂
@@RiceFlyy I don't think you understand what i'm saying. I'm talking specifically about that cafe and that cafe only. Maybe their main target is tourists but there is no different price for locals and tourists. It's the same price for everyone and that price is on the menu infront of cafe. It's not some arbitrary price hike made on the spot. Whether to eat there or not is your choice.

It's common in many tourist destinations like mirissa and ahangama. In those areas they charge tourist prices like in bali
Hoppers aren't that expensive, she definitely played the ball game for tourist price
Didn't you see the menu on the wall. It's same price for everyone
