Not a fan of taping it to my new hood. Also worried the clamps will wear through the tape and end up rubbing through the paint.
This guy does an excellent job. He'd be a good teacher/professor. Thx for this!
Great demonstration. Thank you very much 👍
you are nuts if I would snap a metal clip over a brand new truck hood.. that little paint protector is gonna protect the paint
Did the clips come with the hood guard or did you have to purchase it separately?
Is there a new video for installation of AVS AeroSkin II on the new gen 2019 GMC Sierras?
What size are the rivets and the washers? I've been trying to install mine on my 2008 silverado lt 1500 extended cab short bed 5.3 but I dnt seem to find the rivets and the washers. I would really appreciate it if you can be of some help I would like to thank you beforehand for your time
Just ordered a chrome one for my Tahoe
Nice looking
Very helpful
Glad it helped
This is a great how-to, I just wish it was for my vehicle. 😂
Lol
Is it ok to go thru the car wash with hood protectors on? Whether its a car or truck?
Hey C, it is possible to go through one and if you do, we'd recommend using a touchless car wash. Please keep in mind, that if your product is damaged from the car wash it unfortunately, will not be covered under warranty.
Help! I installed the bugflector 2 on my 2017 Sierra and when I shut the hood, the hood is raised up on the sides, where the clamps are. Looks terrible and almost like the kit is wrong even tho I did get the 14-18 like needed. I swear I installed it correctly! Any help would be appreciated!
You might of clipped it wrong, regardless mine doesn’t seem to fit great either.
Those bumpstops will never last.
What do you do when you need to wash your truck? I don’t think taking this off and putting it back on is a reasonable solution.
Good question
