Great mod for sure. Did it to mine as well.. only difference is, I bought my tf2 in 2017 and those holes are not in my frame. The right side had holes but not threaded or line up with the shock tower holes. Had to drill out the holes on the frame to make it fit. Left side had NO holes at all.. had to eye it and drill holes for the shock tower to mount to.. no biggie but definitely not the same frame you have for some reason.. works great though. I'll post a video on my channel soon.

    Hey Buddy.
Such an easy/awesome modification. Wonder why others don't know this already?
I did this modification to 3 other Trailfinder's.
Just for those who may read the comments...you get 3/8s inch more steering measured at the back of the tire to the leaf....that's the easiest way to measure.
Check the distance from the tire to the leaf-spring before and after the modification.
This is another , yet , very effective modification that doesn't cost anything.
Thank you Ethan for the video. I don't believe anyone has ever did a video of this modification.

I was also curious why I had not seen this yet. It seemed so straight forward I checked the original instructions to make sure I didn’t have it assembled wrong. I think RC4WD keeps it limited so that you don’t bind the axle shafts like I am running into now. I wish I had a way to measure the angle to see how much further it is turning now. I even checked to other videos to see if others had done it but nothing to be found. You’d think after so many years this would be a common modification. Just putting the XVD shafts in really wouldn’t gain you any performance without doing this. Thanks very much for watching Tom, let me know if you’ve got any other Tf2 secrets I don’t know about!

@@ExtremeRC4x4 I gave up the secrets I learned about the Trailfinder many years ago. Hahaha.
It was only three. The Chino ' modification, O-ring modification and the Motor-drop conversion. I learned all those about 6 years ago and passed them on.
You know the same Lucas on Facebook right?
Some guys don't put that together. Hahaha.

@@ExtremeRC4x4 I measure at the back of the front tire to the leaf-spring. It literally gain 3/8s of an inch....if I measures right.

Hey kid!! Long time !! Great work... I can’t believe I have not done this!!! I have the XVD’s already. This rig is still my favorite in my stable.

Wow! Been a while! Thank you very much! Can’t wait to get my XVD’s. You should have no issues doing this to your truck. The improved angles really makes the truck a different animal out on the trail.

Hi, I did the mod on my tf2 with yota 1 axles. But something else is stopping the steering on the left side and now I just get a minor improvement steering to the right. Steering left is doing better, but definitely not as good as your rig in the video.
My tf2 kit is completely stock. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?
