yeah the good thing is with the BP Pulse app the price comes down a bit, the sad part is -- most people -- use a charging card, and pretty much any card gives a pretty horrid price (!) for example Polestar Charge: € 0,96/kWh
I can only apologise on behalf of all UK citizens that BP has soiled Europe with it's obscene pricing. English EV drivers alreay know to hide BP from their maps and go somewhere else.
@@electricfelix That's bad. I double checked the App and the pricing on the german site. But I personally would only go to ARAL Pulse if there's no other way. It's a ripoff in in my opinion. With ENBW you can use their charging network for as low as 0,39€. That's still expensive compared to Portugal for example. But it's more comparable to the supercharger network.
I am from Mönchengladbach and driving an EV but never ever heard of this big hub. Nevermind, I dont charge at Aral because its more expensive than its competitors.
War heute da. Schwierig zu finden. Recht enge Boxen für meinen EV6 im Vergleich zu anderen Aral-Pulse-Stationen. Preise trotz ADAC-Aral-Pulse-Ladekarte exorbitant hoch. Der Rewe to go Laden an dem Lade-Hub ist unpersönlich und kalt. Das Sortiment ist schwierig: Süßigkeiten, Limonaden etc. Verbesserungspotenzial.
I think the market should aim for a certain cap absolutely, but of course local markets can differ, the electricity market of Deutschland is a whole story in itself.. #alwaysbecharging
@@electricfelix I think infrastructure and energy provider should be seperated. Make the charger open access to all energy providers and have the energy provides compete on prices. This is how internet and telephones became cheap.
@@electricfelix I know you have been thinking about leaving twitter Felix but you so many useful contacts there. I'm not sure I have the energy to join bluesky to provide obscure Chinese charging infrastructure information. ;-)
Nice to see it in my former hometown! Nice video, Felix!
thank you!!!
Great video Felix, thanks for showing us the details of the site. Vacuum+charging is clearly a match but the pricing is too high.

Good to see you, again. Great stuff 💪🏻💪🏻
I'm BACK!
typically German - everything is unnecessarily complicated
I can only apologise on behalf of all UK citizens that BP has soiled Europe with it's obscene pricing. English EV drivers alreay know to hide BP from their maps and go somewhere else.
the thing is in Deutschland this pricing is "pretty commonplace" wish it was obscene!
In Germany you need the App of each Charging Provider. This App provide you a better price
There are deals that make it 39 cents per kWh.
@sensnowy as if charging isn't complicated enough, now we've got to piss about with coupons too
Felix, any spots if you have a trailer or do you have to unconvinely unhook?
unfortunately I'd say the spot I show at the end would be best suited for it, but still far from ideal!
Amazing !! Can be payed with VISA the charging point ?
yes, but you have to select it first before the payment unit powers up as I show in the video
I live in Mönchengldbach, not far away an Tesla Supercharger and one Ionity will open this Year :)
@@Quaded0190 that’s gonna be some serious competition!! Cool to hear ⚡️
You can charge for 0,57€ (sorry before i wrote 0,49€) with the ENBW Card. In Germany ENBW is the only card you really need for 95% of chargers.
my EnBW app shows €0,79/kWh unfortunately as a Dutchman a subscription doesn't pay off..

those prices are crazy, in italy we are facing the same problems wwth prices
Next SC is currently in Build, take Exit Wickrath between Café del Sol and Bavaria Alm

Can you tell us more about AC charging in Mönchengladbach?

@@Zitat-ist-auch-nicht-mehr-das honest feedback, yes i can see what you mean on all points! Luckily there’s lots of competition in the market ⚡️
0,69 cents per kWh is the maximum I can accept for ad-hoc high power charging. 0,79 is way too expensive
I think the market should aim for a certain cap absolutely, but of course local markets can differ, the electricity market of Deutschland is a whole story in itself.. #alwaysbecharging
Nah, why should ad-hoc be more expensive anyway? You are charging the same fucking energy.
@@electricfelix I think infrastructure and energy provider should be seperated. Make the charger open access to all energy providers and have the energy provides compete on prices. This is how internet and telephones became cheap.
Hey, it’s currently 39 cents if you book the Aral pass premium btw.
I was just gonna ask if you were on Bluesky, and then you popped up!
haha yes I am :) seems a more polite place than twitter ever was hahahaha
Looks great but BP prices........
Didn't even realise you had a youtube channel as I just know you from twitter.
Have NOT been very active this year, it takes too much time but twitter is pretty terrible too so time to spend more on editing again :)

Couldn't care less about those places with those rip-off prices.
