Top 10 Moments from Disney's 2005's Sky High or also possibly even a Top 20? Or Top 10 list for Best Characters from Disney's Sky High Film Please Please Please!
Sky High was quite the gem back in the day, but, personally, it wasn’t the star-studded cast nor the colorful outfits that interested me, it was more about the whole plot: the exposition, the conflicts, the dynamics between characters, the themes and elements, as well as the moral of the story itself, which was “that it's wrong to judge or mock others for shallow reasons like their powers or their appearance.” In the end, this movie would be one of the many cornerstones that would pave the way to future projects that are similar to Sky High, such as The Boys, My Hero Academia, Invincible, Umbrella Academy, One punch man, and so many more that I can’t fit into this post.
The 2000’s were the best decade! Growing up in those days felt so much better. Social media wasn’t much of a thing, people weren’t so offended by everything, and there were so many great shows and movies to come home to. Miss these days!
sky high... THANK YOU FOR SAYING IT! i remembered being upset every time i missed that movie on disney channel. i watched the movie when i was 9 (i didn't know english yet when the movie was released). i'm almost 23 and the movie remained as part of my vague childhood memories.
I always loved "Ghost World", it's probably the closest we'll ever get to a live action Daria. Steve Buscemi gives his best performance, in my opinion.
A few questions about Thora Birch's character, Enid: Why does she have an elderly name, why does she have a one-night stand with Seymour & where does she go at the end?
Thanks for remembering Sky High ! Still watch it to this day. Side note for Danielle Panabaker playing a superhero before being known as Killer Frost ❄️🌿
Sky High is in my top 5 favorite movies EVER! I've LOVED that movie since the moment I saw it when it came out! Sky High, Captain America the Winter Soldier and The Crow are my favorite superhero movies as well! Sky High is sooo underrated and deserves more love!
The 2000s was when I was a kid and not only did we have great movies I feel from the 80s 90s and 2000s we had a golden age of cartoons. I miss those days of my life.
Some I would have included are Boys and Girls, Down to You, Charlie St. Cloud, 17 Again, and the Baywatch movie from 2017. Because Boys and Girls and Down to you are both fun movies that gifs Freddie Prinze Jr. a chance to shine, Charlie St. Cloud shows that Zac Efron can play a mature and layered character and the movie hits me in the feels every time, and 17 Again and Baywatch are hilarious every time I watch them! Also a final mention for 2003’s What a Girl Wants as a great and funny father/daughter movie.
@@spencerwanlass4532 Actually in case you wondered I just looked it up because I wasn’t sure myself and Boys and Girls and Down to You came out in 2000, 17 Again came out in 2009, and Charlie St. Cloud came out in 2010. So even if the later ones don’t fit this list the first two could’ve been honorable mentions at least if they didn’t make the actual list.
Sky High is My Most Favorite of all the Superhero Movies because it's so light hearted and dosen't always have to go onto always having everything in the Movie being serious or having to connect anything always together like that always have to do in the DC and Marvel Comics Movies Universes! And also the Villain Royal Pain's plans for using the The Pacifier to turn The Commander, Jetstream, and also many many many of the Other different Superheroes of Sky High back into babies in their daipers is so really really really good adorable for seeing in the 2005's Movie Sky High!!!
I specifically remember there being a lot of buzz around Aquamarine when I was in the fourth grade among the girls in my grade. And Sky High has always been a fun movie to watch!
What about Holes, Ice Princess, and also lastly too The Prince and Me, The Prince and Me Royal Wedding, Agent Cody Banks, Agent Cody Banks Destination London, Serving Sarah, and also finally Hit and Run, You Again, and When in Rome!
Some great movies on this list and some I’ve never heard of but now want to watch. Eurotrip, Accepted, Sky High, and Saved are some of my favorite movies.
I am a middle school teacher and I show Sky High on half days to my students. They always love it! A lot of them tell me they thought it would be bad but ended up really liking it
Has no one ever seen Fierce People!?!? Like I was obsessed with that movie!! I guess it wasn’t much of a teen movie since there was no school involved.
Here is one missed that deserves more recognition: “Mean Creek” (2004) A group of high school kids are celebrating one’s birthday by going to ride a canoe on a river, but here’s the twist: it’s all a setup to get revenge on a local bully. This is one of those movies that can teach why revenge is not worth it ever, and the consequences to face if it does go through. This movie spoke to me on so many levels, and I believe it will speak to you, too. This film features incredible performances, especially from a pre-Drake & Josh Josh Peck.
Here's an idea for the next list. The Top 10 or 20 Underrated Superheroines. I would list Halle Barry's Catwoman as member. Just because she's nothing like the Selina Kyle we all know and love, but she was an original, and so was Miss Kitka from the 60's series and gave her full on metahuman catlike powers, whereas Michelle Pfeiffer only had 9 lives.
I really like Halle Barry as Catwoman. The concept, her performance as Catwoman. She did what she could. But that movie is atrocious! Direction is terrible, the plot is bad, the script is insufferable and it doesn't have any bearable dialogue. Not even one! They are all cringe!
brick is such an underrated gem, one of my favorite joseph gordon- levitt films! i also adore manic, it’s actually my third favorite film of joseph’s, and i just rewatched it yesterday. such a realistic and beautiful film.
seen quite a few of these and hadn't thought of them in a long time, what a throwback. used to love eurotrip back in the day. feeling like a need to rewatch ghost world as an adult, will probably understand and appreciate it more. also i'm that cliché person that shockingly goes "omg they look sooo young" at every single face i recognize. but in aquamarine emma looks like a baby, i felt old lol would add "nick and norah's infinite playlist", and probably others that i can't think of right now and if there's ever going to be a 2010-2019 list, "it's kind of a funny story" and "the art of getting by" would be in mine
Some of these movies I absolutely love and still watch regularly, and others I've completely forgotten about. I thought the 90's were a great time for teen movies, but the 00's blew that decade out of the water.
I like how they had The girl next door about a teen guy hooks up with an adult film star followed up with Ghost world about social isolation and depression.
I love Sky High. Put it on one Christmas expecting it to be something I had on in the background while I tidied my room. It didn't get tidied until the movie finished 😂. So much fun and entertainment in a small package. The fact some of the cast went on to actual DC shows and movies, and features actors like Bruce Campbell and Patrick Warburton makes it all the better.
Saved! is one of my favorite movies of all time. Glad it was #1! I’d have put Whip It at #2, though. Great movie, filmed near my hometown (I actually saw Drew and Elliot at a bar while they were filming! There were probably other cast members there that I wouldn’t have recognized at the time, too).

sky high is criminally underrated and so so good great cast and fun story

Macaulay Culkin was so good in Saved. As someone who went to a Catholic school, I just loved it. Especially in my lapsed Catholic ways.
Sky High is in my top 5 favorite movies EVER! I've LOVED that movie since the moment I saw it when it came out! Sky High, Captain America the Winter Soldier and The Crow are my favorite superhero movies as well! Sky High is sooo underrated and deserves more love!
Great list, I've seen almost all of these and own roughly half of them.
9:44 yesssssss i love Aquamarine 😍😍😍
I still want to try the dress thing
Also, I'd add Wild Child too
Wild Child is great. Natasha Richardson’s last movie 😥
Sky High should be way higher on this list. So glad Accepted is on here though.
Drew Barrymore should absolutely direct more movies!🎉❤
I've seen Sky High and loved it back in the day. I'd still watch it today.
The 2000s was when I was a kid and not only did we have great movies I feel from the 80s 90s and 2000s we had a golden age of cartoons. I miss those days of my life.
Crazy/beautiful is such a good film and so underrated 💙💙
"Saved!", "Ghost World", and "Orange County" are some of my favorite movies.
Also: Danielle Panabaker has got to be one of the most unsung teen actresses ever.
Honorable Mentions: I Love You, Beth Cooper, Accepted, 17 Again, and Juno.
I'm happy 'Loser' made the list, it is my favourite Jason Biggs movie and yay for a few others 'Slackers' , 'Ghost World' , 'Whip It' and 'Saved'
Saved! is a great movie.
Sky high is one of my favorite Disney superhero aside from the incredibles
Sky high was my first English movie
Awesome, man. It’s a super underrated movie
Bend it like Beckham is so good ⚽️
Sydney white is a comfort movie 💚
I LOVE Sydney White 🍎 & Sky High 🦸🏼♂🦸🏼♀!! 😀❤ & Aquamarine!! 🌊🐚
Some I would have included are Boys and Girls, Down to You, Charlie St. Cloud, 17 Again, and the Baywatch movie from 2017. This list is movies from '00-'09. I agree with your choices, but I think most of them came out later than '09.
@@spencerwanlass4532 Actually in case you wondered I just looked it up because I wasn’t sure myself and Boys and Girls and Down to You came out in 2000, 17 Again came out in 2009, and Charlie St. Cloud came out in 2010. I like Sky High, that movie deserve more respect.

Scottie doesn't know lives rent free in my head
Girl Next Door, Accepted and Eurotrip I like but do like some others.. Fired Up is also underrated that could have been included.

Brick is an amazing movie! Saw this underrated gem when it came out and still one of my favorites to this day!
I love Eurotrip I still break out singing Scotty doesn’t know at random times!
It’s definitely on several playlists on my phone 😂
One of Matt Damon’s best random movie cameos, even though he wasn’t the one singing.
I am a middle school teacher and I show Sky High on half days to my students. They always love it! A lot of them tell me they thought it would be bad but ended up really liking it
A 2000s teen movie so underrated it didn’t even get a mention: “Get Over It!”
AKA, 15 films I watch anytime I'm having a shit day. Especially Bandslam, Stick It, Whip It, Accepted, and Sky High.
Omg looove Crazy/Beautiful! One of my all time favorite movies!!
I was disappointed that Juno wasn't on the list. It would be my number 1.
Has no one ever seen Fierce People!?!? Like I was obsessed with that movie!!
I guess it wasn’t much of a teen movie since there was no school involved.
Definitely Sky high
Thanks for giving Whip It some love, it sadly gets overlooked, and Elliot Page delivers a fantastic performance.
Aquamarine and Orange County are two of my favorite underrated teen movies.
171: I remember Whip It. A long time ago, I love the 2000’s
Here is one missed that deserves more recognition:
“Mean Creek” (2004)

I loved Saved! So glad that it topped this list. Looking forward to watching some of these movies!
