    You clearly had it strung too tight. Fixes could be to restring with lower tension and/or thinner string. Apply silicone lubricant to strings to reduce friction. Add weight to the hoop. - all of these will increase pocketing and reduce "boardy" feel.

    Coming from the Vcore, pro 97 myself and the two prior generations of vcore pro as well. I switched to this 2023 vcore 95 recently I added lead tape at 12 o’clock currently have it strung with Solinco confidential 18 gauge 48 pounds really loving the racquet

    Thanks for this review. Saved me $300. I was considering a try but will stick to my gravity pro.

    It's an honest review and i agree on the stock setup. But this is a racket for Advanced players who have preferences on specs and as such this is more of a platform racket. The previous versions as well. Stock it was too flimsy for me and i couldn't get the right feeling and touch with it. It was too light, too polarized, too low in swing weight.
    So i added lead at 12 for the swing weight, at 6 and under de grip close to the neck to depolarise the racket and few grams of lead behind the butt cap to compensate and lower the strung balance to 32,0 cm.
    Now the racker is exact to my preferred spec and everything you want is there. Touch and feel on a low powered 95 racket with enough plow, spin and control. With the same customized specs, the 2023 is a big improvement over the old version that felt slower and more clubby.
    That from a guy who loves to play with the dunlop cx200 tour 95 18x20 customized to that same spec.
    The Dunlop 95 has more control, the 95 Yonex has more spin and power.

    Andrey , I assume this racket is for a more advanced player..4.5+… I’m a 4.0 senior all court player with a one-handed backhand… Even though the 95 is supposed to be great for a one-hander, the VCore 98 might be a better choice for me. Excellent review….👍

      did you end up trying the vcore98? I'm finding the launch angle on it to be quite extreme on my forehand... oddly it's great on my one hander

    • @amsd1231
      @amsd1231 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Although I am not a senior but I am also a 4.0 and a one hander. I tried both the 98 and 95 and 95 fit me better. I still shanked the ball every now an then but I felt that 95 was more plush and maneuverable than the 98. Honestly though the difference wasn't that noticeable.

    Has anyone ever told you that your backhand reminds them of Safin? There's a little movement before you swing sometimes that reminds me of him a lot.

    How does the manouvrability of this racket compare with the Vcore Pro 97 2019 (matte green) version? The Pro has a straight 20 mm beam and this one has a 22/22/21 mm beam.
    Does this thickness affect its manouvrability?

      Shift is a new racket. It’s being sold but it’s still on an experimental phase. Final model will be released later on.
      It’s stiff but flexes different from other rackets.
      No pro is using it yet.
