    I have been to 31 US States. My husband is up to 45. He has 5 to go and I have 19 to go. Being that you are not even American 23 is better then about 90% of our country if not more.

    Do you have any tips for 1500 as a youngster

  • @Bonobopantherienbionique
    @Bonobopantherienbionique 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Why are they starting the 500 and the 300 in curves? They end up running 1 more curve than they would starting in a stretch.

    • @wardfreeman7533
      @wardfreeman7533 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My take is, you need get used to making your passing moves off curves. It is where many runners ease up. The better you are at running curves the more likely you will be better prepared for race day. You must admit it didn't look like it slowed them down any.

    • @Bonobopantherienbionique
      @Bonobopantherienbionique 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wardfreeman7533 Yes but this was a hard training and they werent passing eachother in the curves. They've been runnign indoor previously no? They were running the curves in the indoor 200m tracks so they should be good I think.
      Running curves slows you down bro, it's just not noticable to the naked eye and runners pace themselves anyway. And on a 400m track the difference is probaly negligeable, especially at their pace. Just a bit weird, when I had 300/500/100 reps I always did them starting on a stretch, same for other people I know.
      Maybe they started on the curve to deal with less headwind ? The coach implied a couple times that they were running at a good pace despite the wind.
      Fs I'm looking too deep into it I'm just curious about it.

    • @adam_fogg
      @adam_fogg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      doesn’t really make a difference on an outdoor track but was mostly for avoiding wind - could have also started on the straight but doesn’t really matter either way

    • @wardfreeman7533
      @wardfreeman7533 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Bonobopantherienbionique Your point well taken. But Adam explained it for us - lol! On the High School team I coach, I see way too many runners backing off just and cruising the curves. Many a race and lots of 'points' I believe can be won or lost there.
