Thanks. That was very helpful. I'm an old lady (61) alone and in Siem Reap but thinking of moving to PP when my lease is up. I stayed at the New York Hotel for a short time and assumed since it was close to the Palace it was safe. Walking from there to Riverside was not fun. I guess that was when I crossed 151! Also Riverside seemed skeezy and I never went back. I saw your other vid of Chrouy Changva and that looks more like my speed since I don't party and am looking for a peaceful situation. Thanks for the info!
Yeah, the Riverside isn't what it used to be. I love living in Chroy Changvar. I recommend staying in an Airbnb for a week to see if you like it. There are a few in Borey Sopheak Mongkol.
@@harminparrarueda5615 the x's in the thumbnail are on a map of Phnom Penh. I believe I mention the streets and cross streets so that you should be able to find the areas on Google maps. Thanks for watching!
Thank you. I was put off by PP as my first trip I stayed near the Mekong and I didn't do my homework and it was very sleezy. Do you know of any Month to Month accomodation in a good area? I found this type of arrangement in SR and its ideal for getting to know an area before commiting to a 6 month lease.
@@michaelirish1445 I would check Airbnb, you will find everything from condos to apartments in houses. Many offer a discount for a month booking. If you like the vibe of Siem Reap, I recommend the Russian Market area (Toul Tompong). It is the most trendy and has lots of activities. Of course, if you want peace and quiet, I recommend Chroy Changvar (check out my other video about it). The most important thing is to choose someplace that reduces your transportation cost, so it depends on your lifestyle
@@themaven2017 Hey really glad for your advice, thank you. I will do some home work on Coworking space too as I didn't enjoy working on a pc from a hotel. need to be around people. As for transport, I found riding a moto safe as long as I stayed off the 100km roads in SR. motobike riding is safer in SE asia than Australia as there are no rednecks in Asia, so the most likely only loose a little skin juxaposed to lose life in Australia. Regards, Mike
Thanks

Thanks for the info. Do you have a map of the city showing these neighborhoods?
