It is a non replaceable battery that is soldered to the board. But you can ask someone with electronics knowledge to buy a rechargeable coin cell battery and replace with old one..

Hi it has a built in battery..
If not using then how to switch off the device.
There is a button to switch off , the same button can be used to shift mode to automatic mode and always on mode.
how to shutdown this completely when in not in use? with the lcd display turned off.
There is a button to switch off but the lcd display will not switch off completely. It doesn't effect the battery of the device.

@Ren Castro it will consume very less power. If you plug once it will charge automatically and the display will stay on upto 6 months.

Never switch off your fridge to save power. It will increase the power consumption. So in my opinion don't try. I have tried and my bill got doubled.

Dont use it for electric water gyeser. It is not at all safe to do that. It does not have earth . It is not 3 pin it is 2pin.

When you program it for a week, It will repeat the program every week until you change the program.. that means same program will run for more than one year.

Hi brother. It can be done , but by doing that the electricity consumption of the refrigerator will increase. I have tried that and in that month the electricity bill was very high because when the timer swich switch of the refrigerator in frequent intervals the temperature in fridge increases and thus the compressor has to work hard to maintain the temperature.
The refrigerator compressor is designed in such a way that it automatically switch of after the required temperature is met. There is no need to add a timer switch to save electricity.

I have no idea on star delta starter circuit. This only thing I know is it can be used to switch on and switch off a circuit or an electrical equipment in multiple of minutes that is the time we set. The time should be i hours or minutes. (It doesn't support seconds)

Yes. For example you can set on time as 1:00 O clock and off time as 11:00 O clock.

I didn't use this for more than a year. So the digital lights didn't glow. Now, i plugged the timer, switched on power, press the reset button, powered off & powered on keeling the reset button pushed. The digital display came back. Without replacing the battery, the switch started working. Sharing my experience.

Hi , you must not use this for heavy equipment. Instead you can use a 16a smart plug.
Even after setting time, it is automatically on in the off time. Is there any swtich to toggle manual and programmed ?

The first thing you have to do is reset the device by pressing and holding the "R" button.
Then press PROG button (first button)
At the lefr side corner you can see {1on } on the display , so it is for switching on the device . Set the time week hour and minute.
Then again press PROG button . At the left side of the display you can see 1off . So it is for switching off the device. Similarity set week hour and minute .
Then again press PROG button you can see 2on {similarly set week hour minute if required }
Then again press PROG button and so you can see 2off {similarly set week hour minute} Always dont forget to set an off functoin after setting the on . If you dont set off function , the device willnot work as you required.
At the end of the programming press clock button
Also notice a ON/AUTO/OFF button at the left corner. Press that and look at the display. Press until you see auto at the bottom of display.

Recently purchased timer, we programmed for daily to on at 22 hours and off at 5 hours. We noticed that at 24 hours -mid night - it stop. It is not remaining on till morning 5 hours. How to rectify this problem ??

It is possible to set time but It is a 10amp plug. But room heater require 3pin plug with earth. But this timer switch does not have earth . So there is a chance for it to fail. It may burn.
