It’s actually ridiculous how good this show is. Not only was this show given a much larger budget to work with cgi which had been critisized heavily before in beast wars and the Unicron trilogy, but it also put the show first before the toys, something which is rarely done in Transfomers with a few exceptions like animated. The voice acting, animation, music, sound design, fights, characters, world building, all have 0 right to be good as they are. This isn’t just a great transformers show, this is just an amazing show period.
Apparently the Transfomers One movie which releases next year will have a similar style to Transfomers Prime so I very much look forward to that as it will also be covering the origins of Optimus and megs
When I saw bumblebee got killed by megatron
I was like “Optimus kick his ass and don’t hold back” but when bumblebee was alive and straight up kill megatron through the chest I was in complete shock and happy. There’s even an extended scene of megatron’s death. And when you megatron you definitely see the terror in his eyes, struggling to get back up. But in the end he got what was coming to him. The mighty gladiator of kaon has fallen.
Smokescreen and Bumblebee are both awesome
Even with all the issues, changes and cancellations, the creators of this show really managed to keep up the tone and momentum with this show
The show gets more exciting to watch with each new episode in spite of scrapped plans and the shortening of the series
When I was young I didn't realize that Terry from Batman Beyond was Bumblebee's voice actor

The Transformers Robots in Disguise (2015) is a must watch if you wanna continue the story of Bumblebee, Prime, and some Decepticons, but is definitely a more kids directed show, kinda like LEGO Ninjago, check it out just know how the story continues but don’t expect the TF Prime epicness

I highly recommend watching Predacons Rising and Robots in Disguise after this. Predacons Rising is an amazing finale movie to Transformers Prime that ties up all loose ends and Robots in Disguise 2015 is a very underrated sequel series.

Megatron's death scene is one of the best villain deaths in cartoons. Ngl, I cried the first time I watched him die.
12:30-12:37 is one of the many important reasons why checking out RID is a good idea. I’d say at least check the first two episodes and see how ya like it. People try to compare it to TFP too much and there is a lot of continuity people miss out on
In the Hungarian dub of this episode, even though this show is at its root supposed to be family friendly, they dubbed Starscream to say "F*cking screw your logic!" after Shockwave told him it was useless to save Megatron.
This is peak transformers, one of my favorite versions of tf the characters, story and worldbuilding was so great 10/10 show. Also I highly recommend watching Transformers Animated it's not prime level but it's still a good show.
Please watch Robots in Disguise after this. It's a sequel series to this and very underrated. Also, I love this finale so much. Bumblebee got his voice back, Knockout joined the Autobots, Ratchet stayed with the humans, Cybertron got restored, an Megatron's trapped in a purgatory void. The best ending for one of the best Transformers shows.

Do I even gotta mention the fact the English dubbed version of the unicron trilogy was rushed meanwhile the Japanese version is superior?.
Rid 2015 on it's own is passable at best but as a sequel it fails to live up to what tfp was.
This is where peak was made. The show mostly shows the transformers, the humans are actually helpful and likeable,(yes even Miko) the story is in depth, the fights are engaging, and of course the designs of the transformers will always be my favorite. No movie live action or not can compete with this goated show... NOW JUST DON'T WATCH "ROBOTS IN DISGUISE" PLEASE 🥺😭

Robots in Disguise is good overall, in my opinion. There are some episodes where I questioned if I should keep watching it. But the amount of characters and plot lines makes up for those episodes.
Next Stop: Transformers Prime: Predacons Rising.

Robots in disguise is not good. You should check out the War For Cybertron games, which are light prequels to Transfomers Prime, or even check out the 1986 animated Transformsrs movie. That and prime are the two most beloved things in the transformers fandom, the 1986 movie isn’t perfect but it focuses almost entirely on the robots, has some Stellar animation and features many familiar faces like Optimus, Megatron, soundwave, Ratchet, Starscream, cliffjumper, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Shockwave, Ultra Magnus, (you get the point lmao).
I am so sad it’s over!!! What a fantastic show!!! 😭😭😭

Fun fact: transformers prime season 3 was originally going to be different (propably even better then it was) but in between season 2 and 3 hasbros toy lead person thingy (idk what that it is called) forced them to do the script all over again because he wanted to force dragons into the series so the writers did their very best and holy shit was it good, still im kinda sad when i think about how much better it couldve been had they been allowed to do what they were going to

Unfortunately, there isn’t any good transformers content elsewhere. At least, nothing that is on par with this series. But if you’re going to try anything, I’d highly recommend transformers animated over robots in disguise.

If you want more content you should watch Transformers Animated. Its not as cinematic as TFP and takes some liberties with the lore, but its characters snd story are definitely S tier.
