Wonderful chap 👍 ❤️ 🏁
👏👏👏 fabulous. Old school testing at the start.
I could have listened to a part 3,4,5 or so on what a fantastic life Charlie has had. great job Dave 😉
Thank you, DS! (Sorry I’m late getting to this). I suspect we’ll be back with Charlie sometime in the summer even just to chew the fat of TT ‘24 😁
Great watch what a career Charlie had against so many of the biggest names over those years too just awesome cheers guys 👌👍
Our pleasure, CM! He’s a grand fella and really glad you enjoyed the show 😁
Brilliant 🍷🍷🍷
Thanks so much, Ray 🙌🏼
Another great one. Keep them coming.
Our pleasure, Sean 🙌🏼
Great stuff.
Thanks, Mats 🙏🏼
Another great one. Charlie has sone great stories, thanks! Looking forward to the Simmo ones.
Cheers, Rick! After yesterday’s question on the socials, Simmo will now be one 2hr episode 😁 hope you enjoy it 🙏🏼
Definitely my favourite two part pod this one. Story's are great. It's definitely a sit down with many brews for the day conversation. 👏👏
Cheers Warren, we’ll do our best to get Charlie on again in the summer or at least cha to him at the TT 😊
Thanks for a great podcast. Charlie brought back a lot of memories
You’re very welcome, Mike! And thanks for watching 😊
Have enjoyed both of these interviews with Charlie.I had a friend back in the day who idolised Charlie. You would go a long way to find a neater, tidier rider. In my view Charlie and Geoff Cannell were the best TT commentators ever. Thanks again for doing these interviews.😀
Kind words, thanks Trevor 🙌🏼
Also he keeps mentioning his book, do you have a link to where it can be found?
I’ll drop him a line and see if he has any left. I think they were self-published so obviously not as readily accessible as going through a publishing house.
Norwich Straight, Charlie
Remember spending an evening with Charlie and Yamaha's Andy Smith whilst working for Mitsui on the island, looking after the first TZR250's imported for the production TT. The advice, tips and tricks he gave us were invaluable. Barry Woodland won the 250/400 class on a 400 Suzuki with Mat Oxley and Graham Cannel second and third on the 250's. Mat recorded the first ever 100MPH lap on a production 250!!. Great memories
