I replaced my rear bushings last month. Had some serious slop going on. I ended up machining the bushing down on the lathe to make it fit for the smaller shift bushing. Ive been wanting to replace my intake boot, thanks for posting just ordered the last one !
The bushing goes in from underneath with the flange at the bottom. 96 and newer you can replace that one and the one on the side of the trans with the same perrin or knockoff bushing
Love your comic sense. Thanks for your help! 🦆-y, BTW, it's easier if you use the Subaru Sambar Rear Shift Linkage Bushing installation tool available at Wiley Coyote's Acme tool company
Just wondering if you ever clean down your engine bays for clients and do you have a video for that? I rwcently cleaned mine after watching your video on the air box and how dirty and grimey it was from the box drain. To checkbthat all the old grease and grime wasn't from anything else
this old one wasn't bad so not a whole lot of symptoms but having the now solid brass bushing back there makes the hugest difference in shifts. way more solid and feels more connected since there's no play in the bushing
If you're using a K&N you ARE sucking in dirt. Stick with your factory filter (that goes for any vehicle). Check out The video from Project Farm on air filters.
Great video and very informative!! Thank you Kevin!!

i just sent you a message about :/ lol... and ya that made the hugest difference in shifting. it's solid so there's no slop at all now!
@@OhKeiGarage slop is never good…in any application 😅
Hell yeah, I did one of my front ones (they're different) but still need to do my rears. Timely video.
man that solid brass bushing makes a huge difference in shifts now!

good looking out! i'll flip it over then! that makes a little more sense since the washer would sit on the non flanged side.
I thought it was 94 and newer but Kevins is a 95 and apparently has the small bushing.....

You have that tool as well? 🤔😜

Maybe if you froze the bushing in your freezer before mounting, it would be easier to push in?
Did you ever figure out an alternative for the smaller bushing?
not yet, i will have a a ron come over soon and have him 3D print us some.
What symptoms did you have before changing out the bushing?
