my starter base is a hole in the wall with a door and a fence window. LOL but then i usually build something like this as my starter base instead of my starter hole.
it usually becomes my smeltery when i move on to bigger and better things.

Both Pearl and Scar spend a large portion of their 1st episode collecting all the different types of wood.
Followed by accidentally setting off a trap by Cub that they knew about.
Only difference is Scar blew up 95% of the resources he'd gathered.
And Gem as well
thematic parallels with these two pearl and scar are something else in the life series and their first episode haha
Correction: Cub blew up the resources Scar gathered. Putting it on Scar makes it seem like his fault he was murdered.

@@purplestalker9238yeah but with the season progressing and the bases being further apart, a post office could be more of a PO Box office, where everyone could go to check their mail, that way she doesn't have to fly across the entire map every week to deliver some books

As someone who hasn’t watched any other hermitcraft seasons, can anyone confirm you spend the entire season staring at furnaces cooking fish?

Yep, that's the long and short of it. Once they tried cooking beef, but fans didn't really like it so they went back to fish.
That mailbox is excelent idea, maybe you could convince other hermits to make mailbox to their bases and you could start like post office delivery service. It would be on theme of you interacting with other hermits.

The fact that Pearl came across Tango first, *_TWICE_* , and he was the one who left the comment on her starter house, then she asked to be his neighbour and he straight up said yes without hesitation. That was a fated pairing and I *_CANNOT_* wait to see what happens.

I didn't think anything could beat the Pearl/Gem/Impulse combo of last season, but I am already in love with these Pearl and Tango interactions! They're just so silly :3

Tango and pearlo is my favorite mashup of the season so far- both of them are amazing builders, both of them useally go for the most unconvetinal buidling styles, they both have a bit of a chaotic personality, and they are also people that we didnt get to see interacte with each other much
And their interactions are pure serotonin when they happen :)
I’m also looking forward to some Pearl + Etho, seeing as they’re doing a very similar build style which looks really cool together

But anyway, playing someone's 'mini' game is not the same as living right next to them, in previous seasons pearl did a lot of collaborations with boatem and with soup group, the people she chose to base next to on day 1, so I hope to see this level of collaboration with pearl and tango (and etho) this season

And we have Scar a.k.a Robert Irwin's wannabe Aussie American cousin.
the amount australians change accent when we aren't with people with australian accents is quite a lot. it's also quite fun.
IMO Pearl has one of the best voices on the server!

Love the Tango, Etho, Pearl group. A builder, and 2 redstoners. Can’t wait to see what comes of this. The starter farm house looks beautiful

Plus the cherry mountain group of: Gem, Grian, Skizz, Joel, Mumbo, Impulse, and Scar (i haven't quite figured out their exact positions, but gem is closest to tango, and grian is clockwise from her. And i believe mumbo and scar are on the far side from gem)
And we can see Cub's house and Doc's village from the top of pearls mound. (And obviously Etho and Tango are close too)
This is going to be a great season for interconnected based and hermit interactions.
PS: Zed is close to Skizz
I'm still figuring out the exact layout of where all the hermits are settled, but its definitely looking like a massive soup group or boatem vibe with how close they all are.

Its also my favorite way of hermits grouping up, day 1 seeing a cool piece of terrain and racing to claim it only to end up sharing it.

Also I love the starter base! It always amazes me how you can mange to use (almost) every type of wood in a base and still have it come out looking cohesive and put together.

Using snow, you can squeeze into a half block gap. If you build a shallow staircase out of snow layers you can build a full snow block under a slab and be in a half block gap. You cannot transition from snow to another block even when the snow is equal height to the other block. It’s very cool though

This was such a nice start of the season! New neighbors so new interactions! The Queen of Decked Out, The Dungeon Master and The Champion around each other! [In my mind, I see Pearl as all three of those TBH]
And Farmer Pearl! Beautiful beautiful starter base. Excited to see your farm growing Pearlo! And having a mailbox is so interesting, it be great if you could get the others to have their own mailbox and you become a mailman along with being a farmer

Can we just acknowledge the evilness of Cub's trap? He made a piston push a block up in front of where you would go if you entered the house. Most people would have tried running forward to escape and been confused by the particles of the rockets and you wouldnt notice not moving forward until too late. Evil genius that man.

This was such a wonderful episode! I can't wait to see more of the fearsome trio that will be Pearl, Etho and Tango- that's a promise for chaos if I've ever seen one!
Your starter base (and it's insane to call it a starter base, honestly. It's huge!) is gorgeous, and it really shows that your farmhouses (even the one in empires) are the coziest buildings to live in, they look so good and warm!

When there's any games like Demise going on it's best to ALWAYS check doors before going through them to make sure it's not trapped...
Well Pearl, now you have to get a Dog name them Mailbox (from Life series) and set them outside by the Mailbox..
..but yea I think those Mailboxes are a cool idea. People could decorate them etc..
