Repairing two drill press spindles

My friend Johan paid me a visit and brought two damaged drill press spindle shafts with him.
The two drill presses in question are a German Flott and a Swedish Strands.
I helped him out with those.

Tosi mukavia videoita teet ja vielä SUOMEKSI. Rauhallisesti kerrottu , mitat, nopeudet sekä kuvat hyvin esillä. Mielestäni auttaa minunlaisiani harrastelijoita ja luulen että tuo omaa rohkeuttakin toimia. Varsin itse pidän näistä korjaus/"ongelma "ratkaisuista, mutta myös uudet jutut kuten mittakellon pidin ja vastaavat ovat tosi mielenkiintoisia. Olisi myös mukava kuulla "työhistoriaa" jossain videossa, luulen että näitä monipuolisia taitoja ei ihan tallissa ole opittu. Animaatiot on mukavia, mutta musiikki hieman häiritsevä kun ei meinaa kuulla kaikkia yksityiskohtia, voisiko soittaa hieman hiljempaa.

Hi Fino,
To prevent the chisel from causing a scratch internally when turning the slide back, you can push the rod on the QCTP towards the opening with a little pressure. This will prevent the chisel tension from causing the scratch and your workpiece will also remain neat internally. Otherwise it will be bether to make a springpass for precision measerments.
