A girl-group that suits the words "Funky & Cute" the most! T-ara, with fans nationwide encompassing gender and age, is back in 9 months with their mini-album [DAY BY DAY].
Having risen to the mainstream of the Korean Wave with their concerts in Thailand and Japan, T-ara is ready to meet their fans in an upgraded fashion with their new members Dani, and Ahreum.
T-ara reveals a more mature side with the title song "Day By Day", co-composed by Cho Young-Soo and Kim Tae-Hyun and the lyrics written by Ahn Young-Min.
Moreover, Hwayoung's subtle rap in the beginning has somewhat wild but poetic lyrics in a boyish tone, claiming "the end of love is like a dark tunnel" and "the end of a crazy love at the brink of a cliff shaking continuously infected to a persistent love". During the recording process, Hwayoung openly shared ideas with the lyricist to find rhymes and melodic lines that suited her. The expression and voice of the members, maturing as time goes by, are starting to bring out T-ara's musical colors. A perfect "Day by Day" was rendered through the refreshing and new vocals of the new member Ahreum and the work of Jonte Moaning, who also choreographed Beyonce's "Single Ladies".

特に曲の序盤にささやくように始まるファヨンのラップが曲の雰囲気を主導する。'愛、その先は暗いトンネルの中''狂った愛の終わりは危うい崖、辛い愛に感染され震え続けた'など少しは荒いが詩的な歌詞とBoyishな音色が魅力的だ。また、ファヨンは録音する中で作詞家と積極的に意見を交わしながら、自分に合うライムとメロディーラインを見つけるために努力した。時間が経つにつれ成熟してきたメンバーたちの表現力とVOICEはティアラならではの音楽的色をより一層強めた。新しいメンバーアルムの清涼で新鮮なボーカル、ビヨンセの「シングルレディー」で有名な振付師ジョンテモーニングの参加で、Perfect DAY BY DAYが完成した。

I just love the simplicity of the music. Kpop nowadays has so many sound layers and background scripts like "yeah", "urgh", "c'mon"... :D There's nothing wrong about that, but it sometimes make me feel abit tired after each song.

Very true. This was the golden time of actual pop, with foot tapping music which would compell even a non-dancer like me to shake his booty, no ear hurting music. Whenever I listen to Tara I always curse Hwayoung, what did she get after doing all that. Ruined everything. All gg that i like such as tara, 9M Or others hv been ruined by scandals Or by their own management.
The quality of T-ara’s songs are like no other. Different concepts, Movie like MVs, different versions of their MVs, versatility in their genres. I don’t think any group comes close to this. MBK is a horrible company but we have to give them their flowers for facilitating the creation of this masterpiece of a group.
For me, this is the best MV among all girls groups. The level they set, those customes, settings, money they spent. Even better than SM JYP and YG. No offence but it's true for long MV.

와 이 때가 진짜 티아라 전성기였고 다니라는 새멤버 영입 전에 공개된 이 뮤비봤을 때의 충격을 잊지 못함.
노래도 너무 좋고 특히 다니가 진짜 뮤비에서 매력적이고 너무 예쁘게 나와서 기대 많이 했는데 데뷔 무산돼서 아쉬웠던 기억이 나네요. 그러고 나서 프듀에 나온거 보고 반가웠는데 데뷔 못해서 아쉬웠어요.

This is breathtaking on so many levels. Fantastic song, riveting story, breathtaking visuals, incredible acting and the voices....soooo beautiful! That beautiful and poignant voice for the slow parts, moved my very soul!! I think I'm in love with TARA! I'm also blown away by Queen Blondie...she played her role so well, so badass, cool, confident, and devoid of humanity, that seeing her in person at the end, was a bit of a shock.

Still one of the greatest k-pop videos (or just music videos in general) to date. This is the MV that made me fall in love with T-ara all those years ago - a video with its own high-fantasy story, great characters, and intriguing plot. Link that with a amazing song and this is peak T-ara to me.
How I wish there was a sequel or follow-up to this.

The sequel is Sexy Love. You should check it out, the mv is nice. I did not like the song Sexy Love as much as I liked Day By Day, but the music video makes it worth it.

Even though im a hardcore sone, i had to admit, T-ara was a worthy rival to SNSD, unlike this current generations of Kpop GG who keeps on camparing their faves to SNSD, like seriously.
Anyway, as I was saying, what i love about Tara is the diversity in their music and concept. Their not afraid to take more challenging and mature concept. Something I've always wanted SM to do with SNSD. Although SNSD is also diverse, but it wasn't as diverse as Tara.
What really happened to Tara was very unfortunate and saddening. One scandal and false accusation ruined their image and reputation and almost ended their career, but still they remained standing still and continue to fought back. Keep it up girls. Fighting!

*2018 anyone?* I really miss them, I even watch their mvs till I cry sometimes, because of the scandal their career hit rock bottom, i wanna bring their good times back...
Crystal Kang There was a scandal with one of the members claiming they left because they were being “bullied”. The actual reason was that person let the fame get to their head. Areum joined the group and people started to pay more attention to her. The other member who claimed she got bullied, got mad and threatened areum. Her and that persons sister threatened to cut up areum’s face and all that messed up stuff. Areum left soon after and the person got kicked out, but claimed she left because of bullying. This cause a huge outraged and people literally dragged t-ara for it. I think the person was hyoyoung?

Vixxfinitee At this point its already hard to have a bias. Some of them Are a bit mysterious (not too much content about them on the youtube etc.) for example Qri. And some of them are more shy like Hyomin has struggled with social anxiety and was holding herself back in the past but lately it's a lot easier to see how talented and creative she is. Jiyeon is the most popular one and easiest to fall in love with if you search for fan videos. Her and Eunjung are the subjects of most t-ara's fan videos (their friendship is so adorable) I found Jiyeon a little arrogant looking based on the first mv's I saw of t-ara but she is actually not like that at all :D and she was my bias for some time. Now I'm more neutral. I mean anybody could be awesome and it might just not show.
Speaking of my playlist, mind the multiple versions of the same songs. I just like to have variety/options if I wanna watch a song performance that I have already seen a bunch of times. It's not ideal for a new fan. I tired to include rarer, harder to find videos and excluded most MV's but some songs actually have a lot of versions of mv's
