@@gaintrust imo dips (assisted or not) and the dumbell version of skull crushers are better. Plus, I'm really not sure about doing that exercise with a smith machine because it restricts the movement which I can only assume makes it harder to do it properly.
@@gaintrusti take back what I said. Machines are probably the best thing to use to properly train to failure whilst keeping form. Change up in routine working with HIT and the gains I got off it definitely changed my opinion on it.

@@GOF313 it’s a well regarded movement that many of the greats have done and still do. If you like dips do dips!! Not every exercise is for everyone
I dont want my energy wasted on stabilization muscles, I want it put into the muscle I'm working out.
