And I suspect it is a development of the Merkava but with probably so much upgraded, it deserves a new name. Similarities - profile both hull and turret, rear access door, powerpak in the front, track system similar, - no rubberpads. I am wondering if Merkavas are being converted to the upgrade Barak which, with approx 2,000 Merkavas manufactured, makes economic sense. To all armoured crewmen of the world, I salute you. We all known the hardships, comradeships, privations, dangers, etc of being AFV crewmen.
