The main setup is producer's (Rohail Hyatt) home, which is also used in most recent season (CS-2020), while the foreign musicians were recorded at their respective countries. Rohail's music is a genre itself. Season 6 was much of an experimental season and to date ranks the top. Nevertheless, thank you so much for your reaction. Have a great day :)
It's not his home... It was the studio where they used to jam, practice, mix and edit the songs after being recorded and shot at different places. Actually, Coke Studio Season 6 was recorded and shot at different places of the world like Pakistan, India, Serbia, Bangladesh, Turkey, Morocco, Indonesia etc.

The harp like string instrument, is called KORA (Manding languages: ߞߐߙߊ kɔra) is a stringed instrument used extensively in West Africa. A kora typically has 21 strings, which are played by plucking with the fingers. It combines features of the lute and harp.
People use to sing in village name tharparkar in Pakistan.. waha barish bht Kam hoti hai liye ... Jb barish ho Tou unki eid hoti hai..

13:41 you said that some instruments are recorded separately. But the thing is each and every instrument in this song is recorded separately other than the band. Even the voices of the artists are also recorded separately. And this thing is not only done in this song but it is done in whole season 6 and season 13 (2020) as well.
