Mr. Rodriguez, an idol, a legend, who would not want to have been able to be the type of bongo player he is and what he has experienced as a percussionist? I was lucky to have been able to get to hear him play live & get his autograph, which I had also gotten by Mr. Cohen & other great pioneers at the Latin Music Hall of Fame at the Bronx Community College back in around the late 90s, all of whose whom were there, a once of a lifetime experience. Mr. Rodriguez was on bongos and Mr. Jimmy Delgado on Congas. This interview should have been at least an hour. 🙏
Such a terrible loss for the Latin music world. I had the pleasure of meeting Dandy on a couple occasions and taking a lesson from him. He was always friendly and super excited for all things music (and knowing that a few of us dancers truly appreciated he and other musicians' work). Que descanse en paz! 🙏🏻
