Great memories. Thanks for posting. Fond memories of my childhood in 70s listening to WFIL on a transitor radio playing wiffle ball in the street keeping eye out for the mosquito man in anticipation of riding our bikes behind that cloud of smoke which was likely DDT. Started everyday before grade school with Dr Don Rose.
White Tower! Still had 'em in Richmond into the 70's. I think the Ron O'Brien TOH at 2:02 is from WCFL, though (that double tympani is the giveaway, unless 'FIL had the same package which I don't recall...).
Fabulous! I so so so so enjoyed that. thank you for putting that together!

Glad you enjoyed it. They were great times!
Man...SOOOO many good ones!👍🔥🔥🔥❤
We listened to WFIL in the 1960s on the beach in Atlantic City. It came through loud and clear.
Excellent aircheck and edits.

Jim O' Brien.... What a dazzler he was. Funny, clever, and one of the best weathermen ever. His dear was unfair and so tragic.
Used to listen to WFIL while growing up in Delaware
Great memories
