Congratulations! Looks and sounds fantastic! I got both engines 4404 Essential Workers and 4407. Both engines are assigned to “The Gas Local” on our layout ( I modeled MRL) which was actually prototypical lol! Anyway great to see it on your layout. Wow you really let them run at speed lol. Have fun Big Guy!
Eric, If you haven't, I highly recommend coming out to Montana to see the MRL in action before its gone. Ever since I was a little kid, I have always enjoyed seeing those big blue and white diesel locomotives and freight cars. The MRL is even one of the last few to use cabooses in regular local switching operations.
A reminder of a moment in time, what a great description. It really reminds me of the steam era locomotives and freight cars that had ads for buying war bonds, this might be something like that.
Like watching your videos I truly learn a lot, great fan of yours. Keep putting them out I only been in the hobby for about a year now, being a combat veteran this hobby is great.
There are many Montana Rail Link freight cars that would need to be 3D scanned and 3D printed for all model railroad scales. Examples: MRL 2-bay covered hoppers built by Thrall Car MRL 3-bay covered hoppers built by Thrall Car MRL high-cube 50' box cars MRL gondolas MRL rib-sided wood chip gondolas that were built for the NP and BN by Gunderson.
That one horn sounded like the K5LA or K5LLA Amtrak had on a few of the AEM-7s and a few F-40PH. Then again, I'm not if I am right about the type of horn, but sounds good.
This is nice (i had thought of buying both the mrl veterans and essential works units cause mrl may fade into history with the bnsf ending the lease). though i was hoping the veterans unit has all five of the stickers of the different brands of the military. (just hope they're on it).
Interesting hearing the air dryer going off after every sound effect from the horn whistles to the bells From your videos I do not recall ever hearing air dryer sound effects You should do more POV videos so we can ride around the whole layout
I have many SD70s, I bought this one when it first came out. It ran for a month and dropped drop dead. Licky for me, I bought it from TrainWorld and they let me exchange it with a Kansa City Southern SD70. Most of what Lionel makes modern day is pure crap and they will nt make much of an attempt to fix what doesn't fix and the sound bars in their tinders last for about a month then your outta luck! Wake up Lionel and make trains that run and last like PostWar! I'm running to sets of Alcos that are 70 years old and still running! WOW!
I hated that phrase “Essential worker” I didn’t see any hazard pay and worked the whole pandemic. Also the supply chain shortages proved that every job is essential.
I was forced to work during the Plandemic. All we got was our hours cut and a stupid sign that said hero’s work here. Now a rich boy toy company keeps the spit in the face going by making a train that has that on it? Made in the country who unleashed the virus? 😂🤡🌏
Video Notes:
1) This video has chapters for those who wish to skip around.
2) Retail price on this model is $649.99

Exactly
Love the Camera Angles in this Video, it's like I'm in my car at the crossing gate waiting for the train to go by!
Eric,
This is one of the nicest looking SD70'S you've purchased, IMHO.
GORGEOUS paint scheme.
Enjoy! 😊
Thanks!
Beautiful SD70, love how it represents the Pandemic and that whole time period and not to mention how beautiful that paint scheme. Great video
Realistic train consist following, highlights the locomotive-good job!
Two things you don’t see very often. Your trains running clock wise on the main loop and at high speed. Awesome scenery and beautiful engine too.
Eric that is stunning beauty of paint scheme 😮😮❤❤❤❤ love Alco with tower 🗼 you had custom made ❤❤❤

Fantastic video Mr Eric seigel thanks
I love the new rail sounds those new SD70ACes have. I wish the ones from 2021 had those sounds

I don’t really want any modern freight motive power but this is an exception besides the SP and New York Central heritage units
Lol, damn Eric, your train was fast, I was like WOW 😮😮 You was booking down the tracks 🙂🙂
Beautiful engine Eric!
Cool SD70ACE Eric!!!
Beautiful engine. I’ll have to find one 👍👍👍👍👍
Beautiful locomotive
Nice paint scheme kind of wish it was glossy like the MOPAC
Missed you at york😢
I’ll be there in the fall
That is a beautiful engine 😊
@Eric'strains, where is a good place that you recommend to get a Lionel Legacy 990 command set?
Does this SD70 have ground lights ?
Eric when will you do another engine count?
Later this year.
How Eric, I was wondering if MTH is still making O gauge trains?

How powerful are Lionel locomotives (wattage and pulling force)(smallest to biggest)?
Not sure what you mean.
Absolutely spectacular, Eric!
Wow!

: OUTSTANDING All Aboard :
🐢 🚂 🐢 🚂 🐢 🚂
It would be nice, if they had a matching caboose..
: I was thinking the same thing :
🚂 🚂 🚂
There's a MRL caboose at the end of the train FYI
@@Ericstrains ok, my bad for not catching that one..
